Good morning, I hope you can help as I’ve a couple of minor issues with my site.
1. I wanted to know first if there is a way to stretch the logo across the width of the page as opposed to it occupying a small box in the centre of the page?
2. I’m struggling with the footer menu which I can’t get to display. I want to have my privacy policy and T&Cs down there and whilst I’ve made a custom menu and added those items to it, it won’t display on any page.

The method Andrei posted works but you need to also make the modification in the logo h1 file as well: http://screencast.com/t/QhMAKH410 Newspaper 7 introduced a few extra files that need to be modified as well using the same method.

Our theme does not have this feature so changing the logo url is not part of the theme option. You can do it through a redirect rule either in htaccess or via a redirect plugin: http://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/beginners-guide-to-creating-redirects-in-wordpress/

As you can see here -> http://screencast.com/t/tmd7UOmpu the Recipes demo uses the Header Style 11 and that large photo is practically the logo. Please notice that each demo has an own design which can be found here -> http://screencast.com/t/5O5mq7WI and when the demo is loaded the characteristic style will be loaded. So, if you like this demo, please try to use the Recipes and then you can customize it by your desire.

I know the way to change the CSS but can you just tell me what values to change to change the size of the header logo?

I have a question about changing the internal link of the logo on top and footer.
On your blog espresso-kaffee-blog.de
we would prefer that if somebody clicks on the Espresso-International Logo (top or bottom),
they will be directed to our main online shop site: espresso-international.de and not back to the home site.
I saw the entry here in the forum with the title: How to change the what the logo links to,
which had kind of the same idea in mind.
I edited the logo.php file as suggested from Andrei L. (see here:http://screencast.com/t/Qs073J6s),
but it didn’t work and the Logo is still linking to the
main home blog url espresso-kaffee-blog.de.
What did I do wrong?
I´m using Classic Blog with HEADER Style 9 – Full logo on top.

When someone clicks my logo on one of my pages, i want the logo to link to /blog instead of my .com homepage. I have searched everywhere and it boggles my mind that his is not a feature in the theme settings. Please help.

2) Assuming you are referring to the category tags, You can nuse css to change the color of the tag:

3) I have checkled your images and it seems you are using an image optimiation tool Most likely it;s the photon feature of jetpack .that will re-size the iomages in order to “optimize” them. Please remove any at all image optimization tools.

Hi, since last update, on mobile is shown desktop version of theme, not mobile. We tried to switch off plugin, than switch it on again, but nothing changde. Also, we did not install any new plugins since it worked properly. Some sugestions?

Heya fellows, sorry to be disturbing you, i am sure you have plenty of work to do but…. I really need to find out about this. I adopted the demo News Magazine. I am happy with it but some little questions came after it.
1) Is there a way to turn off the logo thumbnail showing on the top up while scrolling up and down the page?
2) I am sorry, where can I chose a different color than the current black for the tag background?
3) This is the most annoying because I ve trying to fix it the whole morning, and I am not even sure it’s related with the News Magazine layout but I just noticed now… can you please help me determine why my website now resizes the images in browser? I am VERY confused. I tried turning off all plugins. Still the same: when I insert a new image in a post, although the original size of the image is 696px, I only have the option of inserting at a width of 640px. When I load the post in the browser it says the original size was 696px but it was rescaled. The most intriguing thing is that any other already created post shows the images correctly in the browser. Still, if I try to edit the images in an older post, the size available shows 640px. Hope I was clear… this is a confusing matter, at least to me.

The menu is not changed in the car enthusiast demo. It’s simply header style 10 with a red background color and a huge logo (the car is a logo)

Hello again; sorry to bother on this, seems like I last asked about this 2+ years ago, so pardon the facepalm. Lost some work here with system crashes of doom.
For Newsmag, using the full width header/logo setup “Style 8” — I know you helped me waaaay back when set the footer black area to ALSO be full width to match the menu bars, but cannot recall how to do it, and F12 console kind of gets confused by the divs and whatnot.
Using “style 6” footer.
Totally forget what I did years back, and now it’s archive on the local RAID amongt literally a million other files not easily found. NOW I’m keeping this in a better location.

Alright, the code you provided to remove the header and logo works for Newsmag.
For removing the footer, the solution you offered applies to the Newspaper theme. The footer directory in Newsmag appears to be different. There is a td_footer_template file for each template 1 through 9.
How can the footer be hidden?

Unfortunately, our theme does not have such an option that offers you a way to add some text of tag line under your logo from the panel, sorry! Please notice that this type of request requires custom modifications in code and we cannot provide this type of services at the moment, sorry! I’d rather not reveal the url for my website here, but I’ve had some substantial problems with the Newspaper theme ever since creating my website. Every few days, all the settings on my website reset and revert back to default settings. This is absolutely unacceptable because every time it reverts to default, it erases hours and hours of work I’ve put into customizing my website. In addition, sometimes the theme just randomly deletes all of my custom logo images (including favicons and bookmarklets). Again, this is not acceptable because, when this happens, my website is virtually useless to visitors. I could lose serious traffic because of this.
Yes, I can revert to my settings by importing theme settings, but I just did this and my website still isn’t functioning 100% correctly. For example, some of my articles are still filled with strange characters, forcing me to re-upload those articles. Luckily, my webiste is still in the early stages of development, but I plan to have several thousand unique visitors a month in the near future. To be taken seriously, I need a theme that is capable of handling this type of traffic without having a website full of embarrassing bugs. Please help me fix these problems because, as of now, this is extremely frustrating and troubling. My website is extremely important to me and I simply cannot have this happening. I just can’t.

For the header if you want to increase the main menu beyond 90px you will need css to do it. Please use this code (I also added a bottom border for the header – the ‘shadow’):

As for the featured images, unfortunately you altered the theme width and thus the width of the container for the thumbnails. The theme will not adjust the thumb size. If you alter the theme width you need to adapt every element to the new width as our theme was built with a fixed width and all thumbs have a fixed width as well.
Our theme elements were not meant to be displayed in a stretched row so please do not stretch row and content. Only use the stretch row option.

Hi guys,
We are having some issues with my mobile page – we could customize everything (for the web) as per normal. However, for the mobile view (tagDiv mobile plugin), we were not able to customize anything). Even the logo (which we changed under headers) is not showing. Also the background color didn’t change at all. The only thing that change were the menus.
We also see “enable thumb nails from Theme panel” which was already enabled by default. We tried “regenerating thumbnail” thought the plugin too.
I am not sure what we are doing wrongly here – any thoughts?

For those curious about baseline speed with GTmetrix for test bed:
No additional compression of css or js done (minification);
No caching plugin running;
Mod_pagespeed is OFF;
Page has no ad, but large image, sidebar, bottom bar images; large logo.
Default Newsmag theme (not using a “style/demo”).
