thanks
It looks like there is a clash with the minify plugin autoptimise (this is a required plugin from the host)
I have raised the issue with them
cheers
Problem solved. Caused by Minify option in W3 Total Cache.
Hi,
I have problem with featured image on post style 3. Its showing only tittle with grey background. You can see here> http://delcevodenes.mk/%D0%B0%D0%BB%D0%BA%D0%BE%D1%85%D0%BE%D0%BB-%D0%BA%D0%B0%D0%BA%D0%BE-%D0%BF%D1%80%D0%B5%D1%82%D0%B5%D1%80%D0%B0%D0%BD%D0%BE%D1%82%D0%BE-%D0%BA%D0%BE%D0%BD%D0%B7%D1%83%D0%BC%D0%B8%D1%80%D0%B0/
A similar style 4 works fine.
I read this question and your answer and I did everything like you sad, but its the same.
I don’t use CDN, and is not selected minify and browser cache on W3 total cache.
I have just re-installed wordpress. Same thing comes up again.
I activated the Twenty Fourteen theme and the problem didn’t happen.
I re-activated newsmagazine theme and the problem started happening again.
I also de-activated W3 Total Cache settings and re-enabled, tried enabling minify aswell to check and warnings flashing up saying minify is infected to.
I ran securi scans, exploit scanner and all coming back with no problems found.
Hi,
1. Unfortunately the scheduling posts feature is not related to the theme, it’s an WordPress feature we suggest to try finding a solution for it on the web.
2. Please check this without any plugins active so make sure you disable all plugins then empty cache and also purge files if you sue any cache or CDN plugins the check again.
3. You deactivate caching and check again for this is is not happening while caching is off you should check your caching plugin settings and try different settings for caching.
4. Please provide more details about this and also when using W3 Total Cache use only Page Cache. ( no database cache, no object cache, no javascript minify)
Also please be sure that WordPress installation have enough resources to make the caches.
Thanks
Hi,
Unfortunately minifying css and js could cause issues which why we don’t recommend it. You could try if you like to manually minify themes’s css and/or js and avoid this conflict by excluding the js or css causing issues.
The issue you have with the search form is because of some additional styling you have added, you can use this custom css to fix it: http://screencast.com/t/ND6LBfItg9yK
.header-search-wrap .dropdown-menu #td-header-search {
height: 23px !important;
}
.header-search-wrap .dropdown-menu .btn {
height: 33px;
top: 19px;
border-radius: 6px;
}
Thanks

Yes, the instructions clearly say don’t use “minify” with W3 Total Cache with this theme, so that was a good choice 😉
Force gzip is not a good solution for simply having your hosting provider properly setup gzip/deflate for your hosting account. This is a normal “needed” option for all hosting. If they won’t do it, move to a better hosting company. Seriously.
You can minify the CSS pretty easily (I cover this in the PageSpeed sticky topic several times). It’s not hard to do with the main CSS file. Worth doing, frankly. Just keep backup. All it really does is remove all the extra spaces, line breaks, and un-necessary thing like ; before a } and stuff like that. But it can cut the “size” of the file by 25% or more in 5 minutes. Super easy to do once you do it.
I already have W3 Total Cache enabled, but I had to switch of minify as the front end of the site just becomes a blank white page when enabled.
I also have force gzip plugin installed in wordpress which worked great in the past for my compression.
Page Rank is saying I need to lower the size of css, but I dont really want to tinker with it.
My previous site had Google Page Insight records of : Desktop – 92/100 & Mobile – 88/100.
I have changed to your newspaper theme and suddenly, the site has become really slow and sluggish, the css takes too long to load going from page to page – you see a horrible page that isnt styled for a few seconds before it comes on with the css.
My ratings on Google Page Insights are now : Desktop – 51/100 & Mobile – 33/100
I need this to work and run fast – can you please explain what the problems are?
Google PageSpeed Insight say:
Enable compression
Eliminate render-blocking JavaScript and CSS in above-the-fold content
Leverage browser caching
Minify CSS
Minify HTML
Minify JavaScript
Hello,
I just deactivated minify in W3 Total cache and now everything works fine.
search box, sticky menu, and menu bar on mobile doesn’t work when minify is active.
Thats, right Chris. Hope they can fix soon.
BTW, with your tips about minifying I’ve already reached a 90 score in Page Speed and 96 in GTMetrix. Thanx.
How can I specify the dimensions of the logo in the theme code?
The Theme is mostly fast but a few places that could be improved according to GTMetrix

ok i found the problem. when i minify html or css or javascript on chrome the arrows on menu does not appear. any suggestions?
Hi,
@samnaun2000
I have checked your site and found this js error in your console which can cause this as the mobile menu works based on js: http://screencast.com/t/GEXwFbw9i3
Please make sure you disable all plugins empty cache/purge files if you use any cache and/or CDN hosting services then check again.
You should consider disabeling the minifying option for html/js/css as this may cause conflicts and errors of this type and also keep in mind that we do not recommend it: http://screencast.com/t/m72j5nD1fmO
Hope this helps!
Thanks
Hi,
Please also update the theme to the latest version then check if this issue is still happening. Also noticed that you have minified some css/js. Please disable the minify option then empty cache/purge files and check again if the error is doesn’t happen. My guess is that when you have w3 total cache active the issue doesn’t happen because of the cache.
Please let me know!
Thanks
Thanks Christopher and Lucian.
The speed booster plugin, does it asynchronously load the JS ? does it minify JS and CSS? or does it simply send the JS and CSS to after the <body>
finally figured out what the error on pagespeed insights page was. Load time exceeds the maxmimum wait time.

Hi,
I have checked your site’s source and seems that the speed booster plugin does do what it should: http://screencast.com/t/2eCCByZYKi
As you can see in the screenshot the js/css files are located in the footer, excepting this jquery script and some css files: http://screencast.com/t/eT2Ke74xTH
Please make sure you add the id’s for style sheets. Regarding the js jquery file please note that it’s set like that and if this is used with rev slider is not moved as it cause conflicts: http://screencast.com/t/coGyMTluP67N
Also note that minifying your js/html/css can also cause issues so make sure that you disable the minification of this resources then deactivate all plugins then activate them one by one and try to move them to the footer using speed booster plugin and also consider that some css/js files are already added to the speed booster plugin and you shouldn’t add them again.
Hope this helps!
Thanks
Hi,
Thank you very much for your reply!
Thanks for considering my feature idea. I think it would be very nice because bloggers want now to display their content by “format” et not only by categories or thematics.
I disabled CSS/JS/HTML minify in my WordPress cache plugin and the bug has left! Thank you!
We have noticed that our site slows after 300 views/minute on google analytics. When the theme was 4.3 we were able to get away with using the setting minify in W3 Total Cache. We were limited before with our server and 1000-1100 views a minute. But in 4.5 we were getting all sorts of errors so we turned this off as suggested by tagdiv team. Now the limit is about 300 and the site begins to really slow down. We are on a dedicated server, run w3 total cache and have a CDN. Is there something we are missing? We are looking now at other themes as this is what our hosting company is recommending. Thank you for your help
You would need to manually “minify” your CSS/JS. See the “PageSpeed” sticky topic for more info on optimizing your site.
Use GTMetrix.com to test your site as it will outline which issues are server or content related, and often provide optimized versions you can download and try to upload to your site.
It’s virtually impossible to remove the “render blocking” issue, as unless you build a site theme from scratch to load CSS in “sections” (impossible with a site theme like this with so many options for different types of users), there will ALWAYS be the need to load some elements before the above the fold content loads. Upshot: worry about everything ELSE and leave that for last.
One of my websites has pagespeed score of 97 with the render blocking issues still there as a warning. It’s the last thing to worry about.
Hi,
You can use W3 Total cache to minify your html but make sure you disable the js and css minifier.
Hope this helps!
Thanks
