I realized that when i deactivate the “tagdiv mobile theme” plugin, the AMP icon appears again!
Check this: https://prnt.sc/vvb9ee
That worked. I deactivated the mobile theme plugin.
Thanks!
UPDATE SUBJECT : Header not changing in Homepage
Adding Some Information:
> After Create the mobile version from tagDIV I have installed “tagDiv Mobile Theme” and “Official AMP for WP” and activated both.
> After setting it up I deactivated it as I didn’t like the theme. And after that I deleted my Mobile version from My Posts section of WordPress as stated above.

Hi,
The responsive version has all the desktop elements, but the sidebar will be set under the main content, but now there are options on row and columns that you can invert the order of columns and rows to can set as you like on mobile, here is a quick guide -> https://tagdiv.com/flexibility-rows-columns-newspaper-theme/ also here is a similar topic -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/reverse-columns-on-mobile/ first you need to open the page in tagDiv Composer editor, this is the look from desktop -> https://i.imgur.com/VjdUpNs.png now set on mobile and on each row in layout tab set the order number -> https://i.imgur.com/elZSSoO.png
Hope this will help you!
Thank you!
Hi henrique1977,

Hello !
As mentioned above, Mobile theme plugin layout cannot be changed. For the footer simply open composer on any template and scroll to the bottom of your page and you will be able to edit the footer.
Thank you !
Hi,
If you want to use the mobile page for mobile version, please disable the mobile theme plugin (and this layout https://prnt.sc/vubv5k will be change with the one that you set).
The Mobile Theme this plugin is making the theme faster, but the layout and content will be different for pages.
Thank you!
Hi ksaunders,
I think that you have enable the mobile theme plugin. If you have this plugin enable will overwrite the mobile page and responsive version.
If there is still a problem, please provide a link where I can inspect this situation.
Let me know the results!
Hey Vlad,
Thanks for your thorough response.
I’m confused now because your teammate recommended the opposite of what you just recommended in my other thread: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/adding-a-form-to-amp-version/#post-376132
He said to insert a shortcode from wpforms and that it would work with the mobile theme and AMP — you’re saying it will not work. This is confusing coming from the same team.
All I need to do is add a simple form with an email field that’s connected to my Mailchimp account to the AMP version of my site. Is this possible or not?
Thank you!
Hello !
The Mobile theme was specially designed for optimization on mobile devices. Unfortunately on mobile theme you cannot do much changes of design. If you want to have the same design as on desktop mode you can achieve that by simply disabling the mobile theme.
You will have to recreate your pages into the Mobile editor or completely disable the mobile theme. The mobile editor will not render shortcodes !
Also you can disable mobile theme on certain pages or posts by following this setting:
Please take a look here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Mobile theme plugin can be disabled from Newspaper Plugins as you can see here: https://www.screencast.com/t/LnkZCEVC
You are now able to create mobile viewport templates as you can see in our guide here: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/
! Atention ! If you are using mobile templates you will have to remove the mobile theme plugin and also at the moment AMP is not working with mobile templates.
Please note that at the moment the Support team is not 24/7 available. We answer the topics from Latest to Newest Monday – Friday from 08:00AM to 05:00PM GMT+2

Hi i have just migrate to newspaper and the site speed has dropped drastically. I have checked and most of it is affected by the theme plugin and theme itself. Please see the pagespeed analytics at https://postimg.cc/gXZTZfTp
Please kindly advice how I can speed up the site. Here is the link https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fmadeinsingaporelah.com%2F&tab=mobile

Hi Guys
Been messing about with this for a while now and thought it may be easier to ask for some help. I have some layouts with left sidebars which I would like to display below the content on a mobile device. I have lots of pages so the mobile theme don´t work for me. I can easily hide the left sidebar but I would prefer if it displayed after the main content. I know it´s possible using a CSS media query and assigning the display order, I just cant seem to get it to work right.
I am using the latest verion of Newspaper. Would really appreciate some help with this.
Best regards
Wes Dunn
Hello team, first of all thank you for all the help! Love the theme so far!
I can’t seem to find where do I go to be able to customize the mobile menu (hamburger) menu. I was able to change the background, and also was able to select which menu options from appearances -> menu;
What I want to do is to be able to change or remove the social media icons and also the link to log in into wordpress, I don’t want to have those in the menu. Where do I go to do that? Is is possible to edit with tagdiv composer?
Thank you!
Hello @csenaka!
I checked your website and it seems you have installed Mobile theme plugin. The Mobile Theme is a performance optimized theme included in the Newspaper main theme and it loads only for mobile devices. It comes with it’s own templates for page, post, category, etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. For more details, please take a look here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Please make sure that you have activated the proper thumbs for the mobile theme. The mobile theme requires the “265×198” and the “741×486” thumbnail sizes in order to show the featured images properly.
This can be found in here: https://www.screencast.com/t/N18dR3qZrh
After activating the thumbnail sizes you need to regenerate your thumbnails using a plugin. Check this: https://forum.tagdiv.com/using-the-theme-with-existing-content/
Thank you !
Dear Team,
Please help me show view count under Post Title in Latest Articles Box (Mobile Theme).
Currently, view count only shows when I open a post and have a look at its content. I’d like to see view count right under the Title Post instead of opening its content to see.
Please take a look at this: https://imgur.com/P7SQgKk
Thank you for your help!
Hi,
On mobile theme plugin you can remove that section only with a custom css:
.td-category-description {
display: none;
}
You need to set the above code in theme panel>mobile theme >custom code> css.
Hope this will help you!
Hi,
It’s look like the problem is that the code is not working for amp, I tested it in amp header files wp-content/plugins/td-composer/mobile/header-amp.php and the script is not working with amp. Therefore this code can not be display on amp version that is coming with our theme, sorry! but this code will work for desktop and responsive version.
Thank you for your understanding and sorry for the inconvenience!
Hi,
You can have a different mobile layout only if you are using the mobile theme plugin, this is a light version for mobile that it will provide a better speed, but we’ll use a basic layout and you’ll need to set the page content using only the mobile editor.
To have the same layout on mobile as on desktop, please disable the mobile theme plugin and use the responsive version.
Thank you!
Hi,
In the future, please try not to reply multiple times in the topic if possible, this will only delay our response. Replying multiple times will refresh the topic date and move it to the back of the line, we answer from oldest to newest.
Also Monday and Tuesday were two holidays in Romania (20-11/01-12-2020).
This is because you are using the mobile theme plugin, using this plugin the mobile version will be faster, but will display less options and you need to use new content in mobile editor for pages. To have the have content and design on mobile as on desktop, please disable the mobile theme plugin.
Thank you for your understanding!
