looks better, but my image has the exact width and height of that header part and now it floats somewhere underneath the menu.
If I change the top-value to the height of the menu part it looks fine, but of course it doesn’t look good for tablet/mobile.
What can I do about that?

Hello, how are you?

Currently I’m using a homepage with infinite scrolling. I’d like to know if it’s possible to add ads between posts in the mobile version.

Hi,

The fix I did to solve the problem was on the tagDiv Composer, on the row elements I set the row stretch to default and this has fixed the issue when viewing my site on a normal desktop or laptop. However, when viewing the site on a mobile device everything on the home page (apart from the top image) is now set to the left hand side of the screen. How can I fix this?

Please visit https://www.worldwidewill.co.uk on both a desktop and a mobile devise to see the issue!

Thanks!

Will

Hi,

The background color of the header can be set in the theme panel, also the header menu and sticky menu background color
https://www.screencast.com/t/w1LF7D4w
https://www.screencast.com/t/0Fynig9t
Maybe those settings would be sufficient for what you want to do.

If that image is the logo, you can set a logo for desktop and a different one for mobiles

Hi,

@christianbruns
I could take a look, please provide a link to a post on your website. Be sure to enter the ads properly
https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/7183212?hl=en
https://www.screencast.com/t/n8D00gbPx9
And then test with a mobile emulator or mobile phone in order to see the ads.

Thanks

Hello,

Yes, indeed the theme ads an og image. If you need to remove it, you can find it in the code here: https://www.screencast.com/t/tTfZczB6
If you use the mobile theme you can also find it in the mobile theme code:

I installed Newsmag theme’s on My site https://rumaysho.com
it’s working properly for desktop. But when open it on mobile it’s becoming trouble

– the menu cannot be opened
– all of image post’s is not showing
– “more article box” cannot be closed, so I disabled it.
– ad image in article is not showing

but, if I deactivated all plugin except plugin from Newsmag it’s becoming normal.
I was trying to activated other plugin one by one, but even I activated just one other plugin,
mobile site not working properly again.

Hi there,

I am using header style 10.

I would like the color behind my logo and the main menu to be #222222.

I have inserted the following css in the custom code section, but it is not adjusting the color of the sticky menu which is still black. What code do I need to ensure that is #222222 too?

.td-logo {
background-color: #222222;
}

.td-main-logo {
background-color: #222222;
}

.td-header-sp-logo {
background-color: #222222;
}

Also, on my homepage I would like to display a different image on the mobile version to the desktop version (I would like a large banner at the top of the page that when viewed on mobile would fill the whole screen). This is the image I am wanting to use for desktop: http://www.thesitdowncomedian.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/1920x1080v6.jpg but when viewed on mobile it is too small to read so I would like to insert a different image that fills the whole screen. What code (and where should I insert it) do I need to achieve this?

Cheers

Hi,

More details would be helpful. For example what exactly are you doing and what is happening.

Ads can be disabled for specific devices, if you use Adsense
https://forum.tagdiv.com/ads-adsense-overview/
If other ads are used then you can wrap the ad codes in predefined containers, per device
https://forum.tagdiv.com/using-other-ads-non-adsense-ads/

The mobile theme plugin has different ad spots in the theme panel, these will appear only on mobile

Hi,

Hi,

That would mean that that page is not found, it does not exist. Try top re-save the permalinks or change their structure and then save them, check again after doing this. Also maybe ask your hosting to check error logs, there might be indications to identify the issue.
If you made any theme or mobile them modifications remove them, deactivate all plugins except theme plugins and check again.

Hi,

You could hide it on mobile, like this
https://www.screencast.com/t/4bQTLFrzcRt7
https://www.screencast.com/t/KnaMUficAmHx
Most elements can be hidden per device (rows, columns, elements).

You could also use the CSS tab while selecting phones in the viewport
https://www.screencast.com/t/pPqamoi5Hkaj
Maybe these suggestions are helpful.

Thanks

Hi,

I have an image on my front page (dontdoanmba.com) which looks great on desktop, but has tonnes of padding above and below it on mobile. Is there a way I can either:

Reduce the padding on mobile without changing it on desktop. In the element settings I can play around with the CSS, but it applies to all devices and I can’t see a way to say “only on mobile”

or

Hide it completely on mobile and show a different element instead

Thanks,
Ross

Hi,

Maybe you did not enter ad codes in the Theme panel->Mobile theme->Mobile Ads section
https://www.screencast.com/t/zeEL2HriU
If you use the mobile theme plugin this requires that you enter ad codes in it’s dedicated ad sections. More about the optional mobile plugin here
https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/

Thanks

You do have one console error, btw
The resource https://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/r20180618/r20180604/show_ads_impl.js was preloaded using link preload but not used within a few seconds from the window's load event. Please make sure it has an appropriate <code>as value and it is preloaded intentionally.

main errors are also clearly noted:
https://search.google.com/test/mobile-friendly?id=4LuGR3wMtBMNR1YOeduvYw

Fix the following 2 issues

Clickable elements too close together

Content wider than screen

So, you need to make sure your ads and logos are responsive; you need to use responsive ad units to be mobile friendly. The reason elements are not rendered properly is you are blocking your style.css and other elements via robots.txt which is really bad!

You also had 15 page items that could not be loaded:
https://search.google.com/test/mobile-friendly?view=fetch-info&id=4LuGR3wMtBMNR1YOeduvYw

Note the *blocked by robots.txt* — only you can fix that. You should never block Google from accessing elements loaded on the page.

e.g.,

	https://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js	Script	Googlebot blocked by robots.txt
	https://www.tricksbykabir.com/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/css/jetpack.css?ver=6.2.1	Stylesheet	Googlebot blocked by robots.txt

	https://www.tricksbykabir.com/wp-content/plugins/td-multi-purpose/style.css?ver=4.9.6	Stylesheet	Googlebot blocked by robots.txt
	https://www.tricksbykabir.com/wp-content/plugins/ytsubscribe/ytSubscribe.js?ver=2016.10.2.3	Script	Googlebot blocked by robots.txt

	https://www.tricksbykabir.com/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/mobile/style.css?ver=8.7.2	Stylesheet	Googlebot blocked by robots.txt

It’s important when using testing tools to read the “why” and “solutions” noted on the checker, as in my pasted in stuff above.

Hope that helps!

(I don’t work here.)

Tell me about both version mobile and also the desktop.

Desktop version is looking ok but mobile version is same as before, is there any other CSS for mobile also?

Hi Simon,

The issue isn’t with DFP or the ad, if i put the same code anywhere else on the site it works, it just won’t work in the header on a mobile phone.

Hope this clears things out.

Thanks,
Clyde
