That’s a mistake, thank you for mentioning it. I will add it on our fix list and it will be taken care of if it has not been fixed already.

It’s a possibility, we are open to suggestions. So maybe the more articles will receive some improvements or a different functionality in the future.

The edit content would look like this when editing for mobile
https://www.screencast.com/t/LyzcSSACeVM
It’s size will adapt to see better how the content will end up looking for the intended device. Maybe I am misunderstanding this, please correct me.

Hi,

That is true, the mobile theme will not display blocks or grids for example. It’s purpose is to display a different and lighter version of the website on mobiles for users who want this.

If you want to display page builder content on mobiles, simply deactivate it. The plugin is optional and there will be no problem.

Hi,

Those other modules can be seen by swiping with your finger, there is a scroll there. Other grids display all the modules in view on mobile, like this grid for example
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/big-grid-11/
But others require swiping to scroll through them. Please correct me if I misunderstood something.

Thanks

Hi,

Try a code like this for example – https://www.screencast.com/t/sxfZJKkc0M

#td-top-mobile-toggle,
.td-search-wrapper {
display: none;
}
.td-header-wrap .td-header-main-menu {
height: 47px !important;
}

This could be a solution, give it a try.

Thanks

Hello albertohduarti,

Sorry, but please notice that our theme does not have any such an option for this. You should change the whole js of the theme if you want to disable the mobile mode and if you are not aware of the steps which are needed to take in this case, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you.

Thanks for the message!

Hello, I would like to disable mobile mersão for my theme, how do I do this?
I did not find this option in the settings.

I want to use the same desktop layout on my phone.

Thank you very much in advance!

We got it working on the desktop version but the mobile version of the author page isn’t looking well. Here is the CSS I am trying but it still looks very bad on mobile:

@media
(min-width:767px) {.author-box-wrap .desc {
margin-left: 17px !important;
}}

Hello,

I have a page that shows on desktop all articles that are in one of the two predefined categories.
With the mobile theme active, this page doesn’t work.

What I would like is to display on mobile all the articles based on the same rule (post to be in category A or B).
Using the custom mobile theme editor, I can just display text… not show posts in a category…

Just like the “index” page, but with an active filter

Example: https://esportsmedia.ro/articole/ (check on both mobile and/or desktop)

The Big Grids in the TagDiv Composer look fantastic on desktop sites but they display weirdly on mobile phones. E.g. BigGrid 1 the left most square displays and the middle two squares are mostly off screen and you don’t see the right most squares at all.

On the other hand the Block displays display fine on both mobile and desktop but they don’t look as good as the Big Grids on the desktop. Is there any trick to getting the Big Grids to display on mobile phones?
Thanks,
Janelle

Hi,

I figured out the problem. This was the W3 Total Cache plugin. I was using this plugin till a while back. The plugin worked fine till the 8.8.1 update. After uninstallation of W3T, the elements appear as they should. Of course, there was the other issue of the W3T page cache not working. Some error in writing to the .htacees file. But that’s not theme related.

I am currently using WP Super Cache and the Speed Booster (without function file.php modifications) in place of W3T. Besides customization taking a while to appear on slow browsers, everything else seems to be working fine.

I plan to reinstall woo commerce and the theme’s mobile plugin – as my mobile speed is pretty dismal at the moment. Woo Commerce in the past reduced my website, forcing me to replace it with lighter plugins.

But this time, if I use

WP super Cache + Speed Booster + Mobile Theme (and woo commerce)

with the latest Newspaper update (8.8.1)

what kind of compatibility issues should I be expecting?

Also can either cloud flare’s minification setting or cpanel native minification settings be used alongside WP super Cache, Speed Booster, Mobile Theme.

Thank you.

I already tried some custom css codes, like this:

.td-icon-mobile{
display:none!important;
}
.td-header{
display:none!important;
}

But nothing works as expected.

Hi,
I have a little problem with the mobile menu.
I want to remove all mobile menu items, like search button, and the orange bar (in my case).
Ok, but why i want it ?
Its because i will use UberMenu, In the desktop it’s works perfectly.

In mobile, i have a little strange behavior in the page loading.
Watch the video:
https://streamable.com/6n20f

As you can se in the video, the orange bar still fixed in the top, the search button still there ..
So, what i want ?
Just remove the mobile menu items, bar, search button…
Thanks

Hello,

This is the default implementation. Try to access some popular sites on amp and see that this is the same issue. Here is an example from yoast: https://yoast.com/wordpress-seo/amp/ Just click away and you will see you will not be led to an amp template: https://www.screencast.com/t/1lboVW1V8
We did not create this behavior on our own call and our own ideas. We followed the google instructions on how to create an amp template and how to make the proper implementation, exactly as yoast did and other developers as well.
I am not aware of any amp plugin that lets you have amp across the whole mobile site and replace the mobile version completely with the amp version.

Thank you for understanding.

Hi,

Maybe you had the mobile theme plugin active. When using the mobile theme plugin, each pages will require two versions. One for desktop which you can build in way way possible, and one for mobile limited to the mobile editor
https://www.screencast.com/t/s64Pc7Yl
More about the mobile theme here
https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/

Note that the mobile theme plugin is optional, you can deactivate it. It is meant to be used if you want to display a different and simpler version of the website on mobiles.

When deactivated, the default responsive version of the theme will display on mobiles, showing the same content from desktop.
Test with and without the plugin, choose what you think is best.

Thanks

Hi,

@muxurou
Seems to work now from what I can see
https://www.screencast.com/t/N2t678WU
The mobile theme has a different Custom CSS section, maybe that was the problem.

@Bogdan
Thanks for your answer.

But…why?
Don’t you agree with my previous post that users accessing a blog post from a MOBILE device should always be served an AMP page?

Imagine this scenario: you google something and you open an article on your favorite website. Looks white, AMP, fast..everything’s awesome. At the end of the article, you decide to keep reading so you click a related an article. BAM, no AMP. Moreover, a totally different look, not optimized, slow…

Isn’t that a horrible user experience?

Hi,
@Erythros

Sorry but the implementation of our amp plugin is to show the amp template when a users accesses the site from google. If you want to always show the amp template even from other platforms, you will have to use another amp plugin as the theme does not offer this possibility.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

@ldfy

Your logo is blurry because amp uses the mobile logo which in your case is smaller than the thumb used on amp pages. Your mobile logo needs to be larger in order for amp not to show it blurry. Please read this guide in order to learn about our theme amp implementation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-amp-plugin-tutorial/

Thank you!

Hi,

By the theme side there would be no animation for the mobile menu/search modal windows. They open and close with a simple transition, this is predefined.

Thanks

Hello,

The mobile menu background can be set from the theme backgrounds section here: https://www.screencast.com/t/tbBZbbyOI21Y

Hello,

I think you mean the top menu as the main header menu is already shown on mobile devices.
Please read this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/top-menu-mobile-2/

Thank you!

Hello,

You can access the theme panel and remove the footer logo and access the background section and check for 14.jpg in the mobile and search background as this is a possible location where the file could be called.

Thank you!
