Hi Lucian,
I updated the theme, currently we have 4.6, but we still have this issue.
P.s. Ads don’t appear either because of fill rate in your region, or because you hide cookies. I currently see the ads, but we need to turn them off for mobile/tablets devices
Please advise
hi friends,
this is my site http://www.abcbloggingworld.com/
if see my site speed https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=www.abcbloggingworld.com&tab=mobile
its very very low kindly help please
1. Same problem on my mobile phone (Note 4) with the grey background. Just made the image size bigger in css to hide the grey part. Can also be seen on your desktop by making the screen smaller. 😉
2. Is working all right here so I can’t comment on that.
Thanks for all the help. I implemented your code, but to be honest, it’s still not to my liking. I tried to change to Style 8 – logo + menu on one line and it looks nice on the desktop, but not on the phone or tablet.
The biggest gripe I have is that when it’s in mobile/tablet mode, I’d like the logo and menu/search icons to be in one line. I can’t seem to get that working and not have the logo be really, really small in mobile mode.
If this is the way it is, I’ll live with it.
Hey Lucian, I think the issue is the smart sidebar, it is treating the forum as a sidebar, since the smart sidebar doesn’t work on mobile devices, I tested a tablet and phone and the post links don’t even go to the posts, they just go right to the top of the topic, so it’s acting the same as the sidebar on mobile.
I made a thread on the simple-press forum and this was their thoughts
the post link is to an anchor… that is a spot directly on the page… there is no scrolling to the new post… it just goes directly to it…
so sounds like a plugin or theme doing it…
I tried turning off the smart sidebar but the issue persists, any ideas? Thank-you.
Thanks for the reply.
1.- I disabled the plugin Speed Buster and reload the page now the problem is solved. It is not solved when I calibrate the speed of PageSpeed page. I attached screenshots:

Anyway, how much time estimate to fix it with update? I have thought about publishing the web on Monday.
2.- Another question: I’m testing the theme in http://www.oncanarias.es but it will be hosted on another site (it is a web of daily information and can not test). Is there a problem with the license? I read that you can only use a domain. How could notice in which domain I will use real way?
3.- And the last question, on the other server we have activated the ‘op cache’ in a Ngix server, I read that could have problems with the theme. What kind of problems?
Thank you,
Miguel
Hi,
As AdSense now recommend to all editors to replace 320×50 banners by 320×100 for mobile users (they sent a message to invite editors to do it), I just suggest you, for next updates to consider this information.
In fact, I suggest to change “height:50px” by “height:100px” in this code:
if ( td_screen_width < 768 ) {
/* Phones */
document.write('<ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display:inline-block;width:320px;height:50px" data-ad-client="XXXX" data-ad-slot="XXXX"></ins>');
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
}
Just for your information, it would be nice to have it in the next update of your Newspaper theme.
Thanks to the suggestion from Emil of turning off Cloudflare I have been able to fix the issue. Both the slider and mobile menu are now working. Thanks for all your help.
Hi,
I really like your theme but I got a few issues:
1. Grey background color bug on mobile homepage (IOS 8):

2. I enabled social icons but they do appear on footer but don’t appear on the topbar:

Hi,
Glad you managed to get it done. You could use this css snippets to style the logo on each screen width:
/* responsive phone */
@media (max-width: 767px) {
}
/* responsive portrait tablet */
@media (min-width: 768px) and (max-width: 1018px) {
}
/* responsive landscape tablet */
@media (min-width: 1019px) and (max-width: 1200px) {
}
/* responsive monitor */
@media (min-width: 1201px) {
}
You can also chose a different header style and set a logo for mobiles but that way you wont have a full width logo anymore, unless you are fine with that.
Hope this helps!
Thanks
Thanks! That helped. The logo looks better on mobile phones, but it’s still wonky on tablet sized devices. I wish I could specify logos in certain sizes instead of having to use just one for all devices.
But at least it’s better now for most devices. Thanks again!
Hi Lucian,
Thank you for the reply.
We did many different things included plugins disabling/enabling, cache, etc; it’s not working.
We are using 4.3 Version. I’m not sure if it’s the latest theme Update.
URL: fdrmx.com
We use ad-tags from different Ad providers and want to turn them off for mobile devices and tablets. Currently they are disabled (via Theme Panel), but unfortunately I see the Ad spots live on the website.
Sincerely
Hi,
Applying the css provided above should change the transparency of the slider in mobile screens also.
For the title’s proportionality and line breaks, please provide an URL to your site as I need to inspect it in order to provide an accurate solution for it.
Thanks
Hi,
Please make sure you deactivate all plugins and and empty cache/purge files if you use any cache or CDN host services then check again to disable the ads from theme panel.
I have just checked this and haven’t encountered any issues when switching off ads from theme panel on tablet and mobile devices. All works well using the latest theme version so please make sure, if you don’t already use the latest theme version to update it and check again for this.
Please let me know ans also provide you site’s URL and specify what type of ads you use as my tests were made using google adsense.
Thanks
I’ve got my logo looking pretty good when viewed on desktops, but viewed on mobile devices, it’s not ideal. It’s skinny and seems as though it could be lined up better with the menu and search buttons to conserve space. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can make it look better, mainly on mobile devices?

For those reading this thread later on, please note the following from the theme admin, panel:
Smart sidebar
From here you can enable and disable the smart sidebar on all the templates. The smart sidebar is an affix (sticky) sidebar that has auto resize and it scrolls with the content. The smart sidebar reverts back to a normal sidebar on iOS (iPad) and on mobile devices. The following widgets are not supported in the smart sidebar:
◦[tagDiv] Block 14
◦[tagDiv] Block 15
◦[tagDiv] Slide
I do not criticize the template. I’m not looking to force errors. But if it is glued SiteBar demo version is expected to computers on the mobile versions. It is a pity that you have to buy to be convinced of this, about what should be obvious – is not it?
Subject is described only here for formum, where there is room for it to solve problems. I have a problem so I write – you have a problem you write.
Formu = support for users from the support of artists plugin / template.

OK it works on computers Safari or Chrome – I checked.
But does not work on mobile devices like the iPad or iPhone. And this is very strange because today all websites should be responsive. Suggest to quick correct it.
Thanks everyone for the quick reply.
I just made this theme live on my site last night and found a pretty big incompatibility with another plugin. I use a voting plugin called WPolling System and it’s not displaying correctly on wide screens. Mobile views or smaller screens show it correctly however. I thought it was an issue between the related articles and this plugin, but disabling didn’t fix it. I then thought it was the sidebar, but I disabled that and it still doesn’t work right. I’m out of ideas.
Any help out there?
Here’s a page with an example: http://aftercredits.com/2014/11/big-hero-6-2014/

Thanks Lucian!
Still about slider title, I noticed in mobile version that the title out of proportion and there are breaks in the line. Besides, mobile version has transparency too.

How can I fix this?
Hi,
I need to turn off all Ads on Mobile devices and Tablets. Standard ‘Theme Panel’ function doesn’t work. I tried to use Custom CSS instead, but it just hides the ad boxes. And when Ad provider send any pop-up ads I see them on Mobiles and Tablets.
Any suggestions?
My site is http://mobile-cuisine.com. What I would like to do is improve it’s SEO and SERP rankings. Unfortunately, with the coding involved in this layout, I cannot add any text/copy for SEo purposes. According to Yoast, my main page has a total of 6 words.
Is their any way to add text to this layout with breaking the rest of the page?
My site is considered an authority site within my niche, but I can’t get the main page to rank any higher than 180 in my SERP ranking.
Thanks in advance.
Hi,
1. Use this custom css to fix the menu issue on mobiles: http://screencast.com/t/o6y0LJsDJsgt
@media (max-width: 767px){
.blog-stack .td-menu-wrap #td-top-menu {
display: none !important;
}
#td-top-search {
top: -55px !important;
right: -56px !important;
}
#outer-wrap .header-search-wrap #search-button .td-sp-ico-search {
top: 11px !important;
left: 6px !important;
}
.header-content-rec .td-g-rec-id-header {
text-align: center;
}
}
2. We have this on our todo list and we will fix this in the next updates, you can use this css to fix this until then: http://screencast.com/t/Yuxssspw5
.single_template_4 .header-content-rec .td-g-rec-id-header {
margin-bottom: 55px;
}
Thanks
