Hi Topfgartenwelt,
Yes, you can comment that code but the problem will be that you’ll need to do that after each theme update.
If you use the standard pack to disable that option, then the settings for mobile theme will be saved in database, and will not be affected if the standard pack will di removed or you’ll make a theme update.
You can try the option you want, I personally recommend the second one, in that there will be no need for changes after theme update.
Thank you!

Hi, I think that the problem is that the resolution that you gave on your mobile is a big one and the thumb size for mobile is a low one -> https://i.imgur.com/tCxiotR.png
Most probably that is the problem.

Also Calin,

The MOBILE SERVICE section needs to in one column only, this might solve the problem.

Its definitely not a browser issue, I look forward to your solution.

Thank you

Hi, on the header of my website (here) I use the mobile menu button and the search button. When I click on them, both from desktop and mobile devices, it goes automatically to the top of the page.
How can I avoid that? (i.e. how can I stay on the same point of the page)
Moreover, how can I edit other characteristics of the mobile menu button and the search button? Colors, for example.

Hi Calin,

I did move the MOBILE SERVICES section under ‘memorial hall’ menu, as a test and the sub menu’s work fine!

This is only one column … so perhaps it has something to do with the 4 columns, which the BUSINESS DIRECTORY obviously is, now we added the code ??

Kind Regards

Glad I was able to help.

td-composer plugin ads multi-purpose style by defaults in both responsive and mobile theme. If you are using a mobile theme you can remove multi-purpose style from the mobile theme by adding about code to the mobile theme’s functions.php file.

Let me know the results.

Hello !

The Mobile theme was specially designed for optimization on mobile devices. Unfortunately on mobile theme you cannot do much changes of design. If you want to have the same design as on desktop mode you can achieve that by simply disabling the mobile theme.

You will have to recreate your pages into the Mobile editor or completely disable the mobile theme. The mobile editor will not render shortcodes !

Also you can disable mobile theme on certain pages or posts by following this setting:

Please take a look here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/

Mobile theme plugin can be disabled from Newspaper Plugins as you can see here: https://www.screencast.com/t/LnkZCEVC

You are now able to create mobile viewport templates as you can see in our guide here: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/

! Atention ! If you are using mobile templates you will have to remove the mobile theme plugin and also at the moment AMP is not working with mobile templates.

Please note that at the moment the Support team is not 24/7 available. We answer the topics from Latest to Newest Monday – Friday from 08:00AM to 05:00PM GMT+2

Thank you !

Hi,

my blog is tospitakimou.gr. I have an issue with AMP pages.

1) I temporarily disabled mobile theme plugin in order to use the responsive template and easier place ads on the sizes I want via the Template Panel.
2) Cleared Site Cache (WP-Rocket) + Cloudflare Cache + Browser Cache
3) AMP Pages show no pictures and a CSS Live Editor box pops up

You may see the screenshot: https://imgur.com/Ub7zJ7L

I also tried to change the AMP plugin settings from Transitional to Standard but with no luck.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi Calin,

There is one major concern!

I have tested the Business Directory, on Safari and Chrome desktop browsers

Chrome is fine, but Safari, under the MOBILE SERVICES ‘sub menu’ no professions are showing ?… I have not experienced this before in WordPress.

The same on Safari tablet, but mobile phone is fine ?

Please can you test yourself

Very strange?

Hello!

Unfortunately, only Mobile Theme plugin is optimized to work with AMP and mobile templates aren’t.
In the future, we will try to find a solution for this too!
We are sorry for the inconvenience!

Thank you!

Hello,

This is what the category “small dogs” looks like on a PC:

I use the tagdiv mobile plugin, so it looks like the same category in mobiles:

The aesthetics are awful at mobile, and that makes it lose interest of the visitors.

With the latest version of Newspaper, can I make the PC category responsive? Can I improve the aesthetics of the categories on mobile devices?

Hello again! For some reason the mobile menu issue suddenly corrected. It is working fine on all pages.

However the 2nd issue remains with the hero section. Thanks.

The page I have in the desktop is not showing in the mobile. I’ve used all options possible and now I’m getting really tired of this.

I disabled the option for showing the login in theme panel and it worked for mobile version of homepage, but in desktop version I still see “login” button and he won´t disappear and I feel like I just tried everything to get rid off the button with no result. Is there any option to really disable it? Any functional?

Appreciate your help.

@Amit thanks it works perfectly!

Maybe you can also help me with this topic: in your guide speed up newspaper theme you say that the multipurpose style should be deactivated in the mobile theme:

// Remove Multi Purpose Style

add_action( ‘wp_enqueue_scripts’, ‘infophilic_remove_multi_purpose’, 20 );
function infophilic_remove_multi_purpose() {
wp_dequeue_style( ‘td-plugin-multi-purpose’ );
}

I have installed the mobile theme and see the multi purpose style in the theme panel, can I deactivate nevertheless?

So I have to install the plugin, disable the view count and than delete the plugin?? That seems a little bit weired.

In the following path: /wordpress/wp-content/plugins/td-composer/mobile I found the following code:

// posts view count with ajax
if( td_util::get_option(‘tds_ajax_post_view_count’) == ‘enabled’ ) {

// ajax get & update counter views
if( is_single() ) {
if( $post->ID > 0 ) {
td_js_buffer::add_to_footer(
‘jQuery().ready(function jQuery_ready() {
tdAjaxCount.tdGetViewsCountsAjax(“post”,’ . json_encode(‘[‘ . $post->ID . ‘]’) . ‘);
});’
);
}
}
}

Isn’t it possible to comment that part of code out? I don’t wont to install the standard pack because it slows down the theme extremely.

Greetings Kathrin

Hello,

Wanted to use Yoast Canonical links, we have few posts which need to use 3rd party domain for canonical. Checked plugins to check if something disabled it.

td-cloud-library/includes/tdb_functions.php: add_filter( 'wpseo_canonical', '__return_false' );
td-composer/legacy/common/wp_booster/td_wp_booster_functions.php: add_filter( 'wpseo_canonical', '__return_false' );
td-composer/mobile/functions.php: add_filter( 'wpseo_canonical', '__return_false' );

Can you please tell me why it’s disabled, or what can I do to make Yoast canonical work without modifying your code.

Thank you

Unfortunately it still didn’t help me at all. Ok, I’ll try once again to better explain the problem.
1. I’ve made a mobile page of my website with adjusted content.
2. I’ve set for my mobile page global header and global footer.
3. Both of them (global header and global footer) looks different in this new mobile page than in responsive version of main page.
For example: in responsive version of main page there is sticky menu in header and in mobile page it’s not there even if I use the same global header. Another example: in responsive version of main page there is only my logo and some text in footer and in mobile page footer looks completely different – there are boxes with latest articles, ect, even if I use the same global footer for both main page and mobile page.
4. I would like to make header and footer of mobile page look exactly the same as they look in responsive version of main page.

Hi Vlad,

Thanks for that.

I’ve Duplicated my mobile edited category pages. How to assign the mobile pages to a menu and category? Does this happen automatically or do I have to assign them using a mobile menu?

Thanks,
Gareth

Hi,
Please let me know what errors you get, some screenshots when the editor crashes on mobile pages.
Thank you!

Hi SMK,
When you create a mobile page, you make only the page content -> https://i.imgur.com/1udVREi.png and the header and footer are those from responsive version, you need to import theme from cloud like this -> https://i.imgur.com/wSwtiOt.png -> https://i.imgur.com/fFEvczq.png
Hope this will help you, if is still not clear or there are some problems, please let me know!

Calin

Hi,
You can create a mobile page only if you want to change the elements for mobile version -> https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/
If you just want to make some small edits, use tagDiv Composer -> https://i.imgur.com/ElRhSRH.png and in composer sidebar click on the mobile view -> https://i.imgur.com/4CbFIRe.png
Thank you!
