Hello !
The Mobile theme was specially designed for optimization on mobile devices. Unfortunately on mobile theme you cannot do much changes of design. If you want to have the same design as on desktop mode you can achieve that by simply disabling the mobile theme.
You will have to recreate your pages into the Mobile editor or completely disable the mobile theme. The mobile editor will not render shortcodes !
Also you can disable mobile theme on certain pages or posts by following this setting:
Please take a look here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Mobile theme plugin can be disabled from Newspaper Plugins as you can see here: https://www.screencast.com/t/LnkZCEVC
Thank you !
Hi,
Thank you for your kind words!
You can achieve that only if you are not using the mobile menu plugin, you’ll need to use a cloud header from tagDiv Cloud Library, edit the homepage with tagDiv Composer -> https://i.imgur.com/NmLWAdt.png set the mobile version like this -> https://i.imgur.com/DhNhK6M.png if you do not want to use the mobile menu you need to remove it like this -> https://i.imgur.com/eE6Ikdm.png and add an icon -> https://i.imgur.com/SyL8fsN.png set the icon color -> https://i.imgur.com/Nr4gA6R.png change the icon or set a svg and set a link -> https://i.imgur.com/8pKFp1y.png
Hope this will help you!
Thank you!
Hi,
If the mobile theme plugin is activate, please check to see if your homepage is not set on responsive version from here -> https://i.imgur.com/bSeVh5F.png
If these settings are made and the version from mobile is random, the it can be from some plugins.
Thank you!
Hi,
As I can see the problem is that the favicon is not loading on posts on mobile -> https://i.imgur.com/6BeSI5D.png this can be because you have the mobile theme plugin activate, but the cache or optimize plugin that you are using do not recognize that and is trying to set the favicon as on responsive version..
Thank you!
Hi,
Yes, the code can work, if you want to set more specific the h1 tag you can do it here -> wp-content/plugins/td-composer/mobile/parts/logo.php in this way you can set the tagline_text ->
Thank you!
Hi,
The video problem that you have are from website optimization, please make a test with our theme, for me everything is normal, I do not have this problem -> https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_covid19_news_pro/ if you follow the steps which are presented in this tutorial here -> https://tagdiv.com/how-to-increase-page-loading-speed/ you’ll be able to increase the speed of your website.
Also you can check this similar topic for more solutions: -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/optimize-script-to-improve-site-speed/ -> https://www.infophilic.com/get-almost-100-pagespeed-newspaper-theme/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/a-few-tips-for-newspaper-x-speed-high-cpu-usage-issues/
Also I checked the website to see where is this character ( ^ ) and I can not find it.
If you are using this option -> https://prnt.sc/rw4uj2 the theme will load on mobile an image instead of the video and the video will be load only after you tap on that image (you’ll need to tap twice, the first time to activate the video and the second time to play it).
Also I checked your amp version and this is displaying correct -> https://i.imgur.com/51NXvfr.png
Thank you!
In these times the mobile plugin works and shows the correct version on the smartphone the pagination is wrong. On the first 2 pages there are shown the latest articles as it should be, but on the third page it shows the responsive homepage of the desktop-version. How can I fix that problem?
Greetings Kathrin
I got weird problem.
When I opened it on desktop, I got the mobile version loaded.
But when I clicked on the single post, it returned to desktop version.
It’s happened when I click the single article post
http://prntscr.com/r3shq7
It’s weird.
I have deleted the cache, still nothing works!
Can you show me step by step to show desktop is desktop, mobile is mobile.
The desktop theme and mobile theme for https://buddhanet.world are great and exactly how I want them.. please look at the mobile theme on your phone so you can see what I mean by it being different.
when resizing the browser window on desktop instead of showing the mobile header or even the proper desktop header as when in large window it shows another form of the black pro header which appears to be defaulted.
how do I fix this
hi there,
Thanks for the past help here. The theme is great.
I would like to
1. change the burger icon (-mobile to -house) on the mobile menu
2. and put a hyperlink on this icon.
please advise on how I can go about this.
appreciate the support.
Dear tagdiv-Team, it is despairing. I have activated the mobile plugin to have a fast and lean theme for all small devices. But if I make some changes in the backend even if they don’t affect the mobile theme the mobile theme on the frontend is gone. It shows me the homepage from the desktop-version. How can I fix that? It’s frustrating that it is always changing because the mobile theme is much more faster than the desktop theme on small devices.
Google Page Speed Insights correct mobile theme: 98%
Google Page Speed Insights wrong theme (desktop): 88%
Here is a link: https://www.topfgartenwelt.com/newspaper-2
On mobile plugin I have activated the mobile theme. This option shouldn’t load anything responsive from the desktop-version. If this is wrong what should I do that on mobile devices only the mobile version is loaded and nothing else?
Thank you!
Hi!
We have a problem that the mobile logo shows perfectly centered on the Homepage but on the posts pages it is decentered. I include some screenshots here:
Home: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ivo0spmhaz5tl2k/web%20home.png?dl=0
Post: https://www.dropbox.com/s/s1pqkb7gtbhbh03/web%20post.png?dl=0
The header is created with the Header Manager. There is an Advertisement Zone inserted with shortcode above the logo, but the problem persists even with removing this ad zone.
Thank you in advance for your help!
When I test my website: http://www.topfgartenwelt.com I get the message that the favicon is missing on the mobile version of the website. It produces an 404 error. What can I do?
Greetings Kathrin
I made a test with GMetrics and I was told to serve scaled images concerning the mobile theme. I habe enabled in the block settings all thumbs that are used in the mobile plugin. But now I get the message:
https://www.topfgartenwelt.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/Blog_Topfgartenwelt_Adventkranz_228Custom29.jpg is resized in HTML or CSS from 639×426 to 120×80. Serving a scaled image could save 67.5KiB (96% reduction).
The scale 120×80 I can’t find in the list of thumbnails. What should I do?
Greetings Kathrin
Hi, the featured image still does not show up on Safari or mobile. https://www.theindolentinvestor.com/stock-market-investing-101/
Ok, the code of this document is:
<div id=”td-header-menu”>
<div id=”td-top-mobile-toggle”><i class=”td-icon-font td-icon-mobile”></i></div>
<div class=”td-main-menu-logo”>
<?php
locate_template(‘parts/logo.php’, true, false);
?>
</div>
<!– Search –>
<div class=”td-search-icon”>
<i class=”td-icon-search”></i>
</div>
</div>
What and where I should put the code snippet that “Topfgartenwelt – Gartenblog | Foodblog | Familienblog” is a H1 and what kind of code I have to add that after clicking on an article the title tag of the article gets an H1 and not the title of the homepage?
Would one of this codes be a solution? Or do you have another one?
<?php $headertag = ( is_front_page() ) ? ‘h1’ : ‘h6’; ?>
<hgroup>
<<?php echo $headertag; ?> class=”site-title”>” title=”<?php echo esc_attr( get_bloginfo( ‘name’, ‘display’ ) ); ?>” rel=”home”><?php bloginfo( ‘name’ ); ?></<?php echo $headertag; ?>>
<h2 class=”site-description”><?php bloginfo( ‘description’ ); ?></h2>
</hgroup>
or
<?php
is_front_page() ? $title_tag = ‘h1’ : $title_tag = ‘div’;
?>
<<?php echo $title_tag; ?> id=”site-title”>
/”><?php bloginfo( ‘name’ ); ?>
</<?php echo $title_tag; ?>>
Thank you
Greetings Kathrin

Hi,
Indeed on mobile theme plugin there is no h1 on homepage, if you want you can add it on this file wp-content/plugins/td-composer/mobile/parts/header-menu.php
Hope this will help you!
Thank you!

Hi,
If you are using a flex block, not bloc, like flex block 1 you can set the layout of the block per device, therefore on desktop you can display 3 post inline and on mobile you can display the one above the other -> https://i.imgur.com/m2xRgkb.jpg -> https://i.imgur.com/5BxDfs9.png -> https://i.imgur.com/oj1RFtd.png you can customize the flex layout how you want per each device.
Let me know the results!
Thank you!
Hi,
The above documentation was to increase your page speed on your website is possible to take to long until the css is loading and that is way it’s say is not mobile friendly also it can be a plugin conflict.
Also here is one of our live demo that have the mobile theme plugin -> https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_local_news/ and this is mobile friendly -> https://i.imgur.com/uOMZXJk.png -> https://search.google.com/test/mobile-friendly?utm_source=gws&utm_medium=onebox&utm_campaign=suit&id=AfR8pAiIUesXegRjru3UnA
Thank you!
Hi,
The h4 from the mobile theme on “Latest articles” can be change only from the theme code -> wp-content/plugins/td-composer/mobile/front-page.php -> https://i.imgur.com/Pyib5D0.png
Please notice that all these changes in them files will be lost when you’ll update the theme.
Than you for your understanding!
Dear Calin, this is not exactly what I mean. The H1 Heading in the desktop-version works. I have deactivated in the composer the H1 on the logo to avoid duplicate content. For the Mobile version, I use the mobile plugin and the therefore a different header which is just available in the mobile version. Here is no H1 defined. I always get the message from the seo-tool urgent do to –> add a H1 header.
When I make some changes in the theme-panel, the mobile version of the theme always changes to responsive version of the desktop. In this case the H1 Header is correct. But I want to use the mobile plugin header….
Greetings Kathrin
Hi,
Please note that all changes made in theme files will be lost when you’ll update the theme.
Also I just checked your website and you have one h1 for desktop and mobile -> https://i.imgur.com/FFVurVm.png using the responsive version.
If this is not what you mean, please provide some more details.
Thank you for your understanding!
Thanks for your reply.
Check: http://www.thip.media
I have turned the mobile theme on only for AMP as of now.
In case you need login details, please let me know the email ID I can send it to.
Hi,
Ive been using the Newspaper theme for a number of months now and one of the things that is still really frustrating me is how my pages adapt to mobile. It just doesnt work properly. Its really frustrating that there isnt a way of being able to tweek how a page displays on mobile. I am finding that every time i design a new page, I am having to think about how it will look when it displays on mobile. This is making it difficult to design good looking pages as I feel so restricted in how I can structure them.
For example, if I have use a ‘flex box 1’ and have three posts displayed horizontally under a category title, they all look great on the desktop. With the resposnive theme however when it changes to mobile, it basically crams all three posts horizontally with the titles being crammed into the same amount of space but displaying vertically down the page. It looks aweful. Surely there is a way of making the flex box display posts vertically on the mobile theme so that they display properly on the mobile page? Obviously if I make changes to the structure when displaying in mobile mode, it changes in desktop mode too. It just all seems so rigid. The responsive design does not display content on mobile in the most logical and easy to read way!
Many thanks
