Hello !
Unfortunately this option is not available with Newspaper Theme. Also the mobile device icons like whatsapp etc cannot be shown in the desktop mode because they are designed to open in app and it will not work for whatsapp web.
Thank you for your understanding !
Hello Alex,
It seems there is no option to do it in the mobile theme as of now. The only way to achieve it would be to disable the mobile theme plugin, this will make the theme to become automically responsive for the mobile view. Do try it out.
Hello !
You will have to use this css code in order to adjust that:
.td-menu-background:before{ background: linear-gradient(to bottom, red 0%, #006eff 100%);
}
The code must be inserted in Theme Panel – Mobile Theme – Custom Code: https://www.screencast.com/t/3zYzY4sLdum
Thank you !
is possible to take a look via this link https://www.typemeon.com/?amp
How Can I be sure my images are vertically centered on tablets and Mobiles ? Screen sizes are differents..
Because without “AMP Mobile Redirection” sometimes tablets visitors are redirected to dekstop and sometimes AMP. So I need AMP for All tablets visitors, or Desktop for all tablets visitors ?
Is there any code I can enter to be sure tablets visitors are only redirected to AMP, or only to desktop ? I mean something in link with Breakpoint or I don’t know.
?
Kind regards

Hi,
If you are referring to mobile grids, then you can edit it from theme panel -> https://i.imgur.com/hsuzRpN.png -> https://i.imgur.com/3sZ0cjA.png
If this is not what you mean, please proved some more details and screenshots.
Thank you!
Hi,
If you are using the mobile theme plugin, then you can edit the heading (H) from theme panel> mobile theme>> mobile fonts – post content -> https://i.imgur.com/lMz3OZ5.png
Thank you!
I want to show few social media share icon (Facebook, Twitter, E-mail) and another (Linkedin, Reddit, WhatsApp, line, telegram) icon in more icon. How to custom it.
And How to show “Line” and “WhatsApp” in desktop? (Now them showin mobile only)
Need help.
I just got the theme.
But I’m breaking my head on a simple matter.
For mobile devices, the responsive version of the site appears left-aligned. And I don’t know how to fix it.
Can you help me? I’ve tried everything from deactivating ads to trying manual alignment – I even lost the changes I had made to it and had to work twice as much.
But I still can’t find the way to fix this problem.
My site is http://www.24h.com.br
Apparently the issue only affects the unique posts page. The responsive site cover is normal.
Here’s a link to the problem image> https://ibb.co/BV4yLqt

Hi,
From what I can see in this way is look the header that you have set in theme panel -> https://i.imgur.com/TZ5IDAs.png -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/logo-favicon/ pelase set a proper logo, like the one for mobile version -> https://i.imgur.com/vBSOFyj.png
Thank you!
Hi,
I’ve just made a test and there are some many links because is counting the mobile links too and for mobile menu, there is a different menu, so for example all the links from header will be double ( less or more then double ), unfortunately for the moment there is no solution for this, sorry for the inconvenience!
Thank you for your understanding!
Hi,
On the mobile website there is a large grid section at the top. Via the theme settings > mobile, I am only able to select one category for this grid. Is there a way to select 2 or 3 categories for this section, as articles for only one category are quite limited?
Greetings,
If a heading is taking two lines to display on a mobile, the lines intersect with each other, so it requires us to increase the line height manually every time. We first tried resolving it through the theme panel > Theme Fonts > Post Content > H1/H2 > Line Height, but that did not work. Is there another place in the theme panel to adjust the line height on mobile display? Please let us know how to fix this issue?
Thanks for your support,
Domien
Hi,
In order to change the background color on mobile menu bar you’ll need to go in theme panel> theme color > mobile menu -> https://i.imgur.com/0JALYcX.png
Thank you!
Hello,
the homepage keeps showing under my articles/posts and I’m not sure how to disable it.
I want the article to end at the “You might also like” section (Related posts) and underneath that footer.
NOW: https://prnt.sc/q6bqu6
SHOULD LOOK LIKE: https://prnt.sc/q6bqao
Homepage: Plotpoint.sk
Article example: Here
Any advice how to fix my issue?
Thank you kindly!
Hi WilliamT,
The mobile version is look like that because you have the mobile theme plugin that provide you a better speed then responsive version of theme, but in order to achieve that speed you’ll need to create a new content for pages because in the most of cases those were made with builders ( tagDiv Composer, WPBakery ) and you need to use only the mobile editor ( you need to set the content for pages in mobile editor and this content will be display on mobile theme)
-> https://www.screencast.com/t/ebUIzt4se
Since Newspaper v9.7.4 you can show the responsive version on mobile theme -> http://prntscr.com/oh6r2s you can check more details about mobile theme in our documentation -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
So in order to have the same layout you can disable the mobile theme plugin or set the homepage on responsive version.
Thank you for your understanding!
I hope this posting will help.
So it’s quite complicated to understand what’s happen in the different views if you are not a programmer.
First of all I still have the feeling the views are jumping around.
No I figured out myself a little bit:
There is the mobile view which looks nice
and here is the amp mobile view which is very simple (to simple)
Mobile options:
Last setting (amp) (this looks best in my opinion, or?)
In the normal normal mobile view (probably just the responsive design)
the categories are with a dropdown which covers the first post.
Middle setting (amp+mobile)
In the amp mobile you may see NO DROPDOWN and limit of 2 categories because of space.
You see more but not all if you turn around mobile horizontal…..
You may see all categories if you add custom CSS
BUT!!!
Useless in the normal “custom Css”
There is a mobile custom CSS also ;).
So if you use this code
.td-category{
max-height: none;
}
you see in the mobile amp view all categories.
NOW.
How to see all categories in the mobile view without dropdown?
and what is the first position of options doing?
🙂
I found the solution ! =)

Hi! Good work with this theme.
I have a problem ’cause I couldn’t change the time delay of Newsticker at home. I read at forum that it’s possible to change it searching in tagdiv-theme.js the line in which appears this tag: 3E3.
But I’m looking for it in this file and hadn’t find anything similar.
I’d follow your comments and check this photo (https://content.screencast.com/users/andrei_tagdiv/folders/Jing/media/8f7bd7f0-04cd-4fb6-b66e-26ffdaec494a/2017-10-03_1302.png) but in my theme folder, JS folder is inside INCLUDES folder, not at root of theme folder. And there is no code similar than your posts explains.
This is my code:
/* global jQuery:{} */
/**
* tagdiv-theme.js - the main theme js
*/
/**
* tagdivSearch.js - handles the search events
*/
;var tagdivSearch = {};
( function() {
'use strict';
tagdivSearch = {
_is_search_open: false,
_$body: undefined,
_$dropDownSearch: undefined,
init: function() {
tagdivSearch._$body = jQuery('body');
tagdivSearch._$dropDownSearch = jQuery('.td-drop-down-search');
// hide the drop down if we click outside of it
jQuery(document).on('click', function(event) {
if (
tagdivSearch._is_search_open &&
'td-icon-search' !== event.target.className &&
'td-header-search' !== event.target.id &&
'td-header-search-top' !== event.target.id
) {
tagdivSearch._$dropDownSearch.removeClass( 'td-drop-down-search-open' );
tagdivSearch._$body.removeClass( 'td-search-opened' );
tagdivSearch._is_search_open = false;
}
} );
// show and hide the drop down on the search icon
jQuery('#td-header-search-button').on('click', function(event) {
event.preventDefault();
if ( tagdivSearch._is_search_open ) {
tagdivSearch._$dropDownSearch.removeClass( 'td-drop-down-search-open' );
} else {
tagdivSearch._$dropDownSearch.addClass( 'td-drop-down-search-open' );
}
tagdivSearch._is_search_open = !tagdivSearch._is_search_open;
});
// show and hide the drop down on the search icon for mobile
jQuery('#td-header-search-button-mob, #tdb-header-search-button-mob').on('click', function(){
tagdivSearch._$body.addClass('td-search-opened');
var search_input = jQuery('#td-header-search-mob');
/**
* search input autofocus
* @note: the autofocus does not work for iOS and windows phone devices ..as it's considered bad user experience
*/
setTimeout( function(){
search_input.focus();
}, 1300);
});
//close the search
jQuery( '.td-search-close a' ).on( 'click', function(){
tagdivSearch._$body.removeClass( 'td-search-opened' );
});
}
};
} )();
jQuery(document).ready(function () {
'use strict';
var $body = jQuery('body');
// handle open/close mobile menu
jQuery('#td-top-mobile-toggle a, .td-mobile-close a').on('click', function(){
$body.toggleClass('td-menu-mob-open-menu');
});
// move trough all the menu and find the item with sub-menues to atach a custom class to them
jQuery(document).find('#td-mobile-nav .menu-item-has-children').each( function(i) {
var $this = jQuery(this);
$this.addClass('td_mobile_submenu td_mobile_elem_with_submenu_' + i);
// click on link elements with #
$this.children('a').addClass('td-link-element-after');
$this.on('click',function(event) {
/**
* currentTarget - the li element
* target - the element clicked inside of the currentTarget
*/
var $eventTarget = jQuery( event.target );
// html i element
if ( $eventTarget.length &&
( ( $eventTarget.hasClass('td-element-after') || $eventTarget.hasClass('td-link-element-after') ) &&
( '#' === $eventTarget.attr('href') || undefined === $eventTarget.attr('href') ) ) ) {
event.preventDefault();
event.stopPropagation();
jQuery(this).toggleClass('td-sub-menu-open');
}
});
});
tagdivSearch.init();
});
What should I do to change the time delay of this widget?
I have Newspaper 9 theme version. It’ll changes in X version?
Thanks to all!
How can I be sure that all users from Tablets will be sent to AMP version ?
I mean, when i’m using my tablet, sometimes it’s AMP, sometimes it’s desktop version..
I want only AMP for mobiles et Tablets..
Everything is ok on mobiles.but not on tablets.
Kind regards
On mobile the categories that do can not be display because the space will be display in dorpdown menu https://i.imgur.com/HwZSHQ4.png -> https://i.imgur.com/g1ruEcS.png
Now I changed as mentioned here:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/mobile-layout-appearing-on-desktop/#post-323449
and face the problem which you show on your screenshot
the dropdown is always shown
https://i.imgur.com/g1ruEcS.png
