Hi,

Please check this topic on how to implement google search into your site:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/how-to-create-a-google-custom-search-page/

Unfortunately we have not tested the guide as it is a user submitted solution. It is not an official implementation. There is no thee setting that can provide a google search widget so it has to be made custom. The solution presented by our user could needs a bit of adjustment in the current version of the theme but we do not have a customization department so we cannot offer any custom work at the moment.
You can try this method of implementation as an alternative: http://www.getcooltricks.com/wordpress/replacing-wordpress-default-search-with-google-custom-search-engine/

Usually when you are on desktop and you are redirect to a mobile version of your website it is a cache problem, I would suggest as a first step to clear the cache then deactivate the caching plugin temporarily. Then check if the problem is solved.

Thank you for your understanding!

Hi,

When using the mobile theme, there is no option at the moment, to change the font properties.
You could try to load the font like this first
https://www.screencast.com/t/zWl8UTeN6
And then apply with with CSS for the elements you want
https://www.screencast.com/t/fWtTDPk7PZj
There may be more options added in future updates, to allow font customization on mobile, when using the mobile theme plugin. But I could not say for sure when this will happen.

Thanks

Hi,

I’m rebuilding my pages for AMP with the new mobile theme.

I’d like to remove the footer logo, as well as the ‘about us’ and ‘follow us’ text.
Please advise.

Thanks,
Matt

Hi,

When activating AMP classic on this page for example:
https://www.matjoez.com/about-me/
I still get no AMP result when putting it through Google AMP test page:
https://search.google.com/test/amp?id=7yY_71irKisu5gwkr7I5Rw

Even if it were to work, the classic AMP is less functional than what it was before, is it not?

The mobile theme is of no interest to me, it was fine the way it was before.
If this isn’t going to change I’ll start looking for a different theme.

This theme has gone in a direction that it appears no one has asked for and is giving many, many problems. Just look at the amount of recent support tickets regarding AMP on the forum.

How do I roll back to an earlier version of the theme?

Matt

One of my team members contacted with Plugin developer too. They said there is no issue with the plugin and it is perfectly compatible with AMP pages. Which is. I have tested it myself by deactivating tagDiv Mobile Theme Plugin. Please see the discussion link that my partner did with the developer. https://wordpress.org/support/topic/social-buttons-invisible-on-amp-pages/

I would really appropriate if you could provide me with some sort of code or solution that would resolve this issue.

But there has to be some sort of solution. I am having this issue with every social share plugin on AMP pages with tagdiv mobile theme plugin activated. But they work fine when I disable tagDiv Mobile Theme plugin. There has to be some sort of code or solution to this problem. I’m having this issue on AMP pages only.

Thank you for your support

This script displays a list of consolidation loans that should appear in the middle of the text (they are enriching the text and are a source of income for me). Therefore, none of the above solutions is good in my case : /

I have about 25 websites and have to display other ads in similar way on each (personal accounts, home insurance, leasing …).

Is there any way to run this type of scripts in the middle of the text on the mobile editor page?

Thank you, it worked. For the border at the bottom of the Mobile Theme header, I used this code:

#td-header-menu {
border-bottom:2px;border-style:solid;border-color:#efefef;
}

This is working too. Both issues are resolved.

Thanks.

Hi all,

So you only want to use the AMP plugin and not the mobile theme? Then please be sure to use the “classic” option in the AMP settings https://www.screencast.com/t/TWR2lBgh if you want to integrate AMP with the mobile theme, please follow the guide. Check the guide from here -> https://tagdiv.com/amp-newspaper-theme/

Hope this helps!

I look forward to helping you!

Thank you!

Hi,

The buttons will not appear on mobile, they are not supposed to. The mobile header and menu are different from the desktop version.

You could design the header with the header builder, then you will be able to add the elements you want in the desktop and mobile header
https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
https://tagdiv.com/whats-new-in-newspaper-theme-9-5-update/
https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-customize-the-header-manager/
So you could add buttons in the mobile menu – http://prntscr.com/n5wyyc
Maybe you could consider this a solution. Let me know if you have more questions.

Thanks

Hi,

The link that you provide is not our product, is just a coincides of names, please check our products -> https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/

Mobile Theme: Automatic Optimization for Mobile with Newspaper Theme -> https://tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-automatic-optimization-for-mobile-newspaper-theme/
How to Make an AMP Ready Website with Newspaper Theme -> https://tagdiv.com/amp-newspaper-theme/

Thank you for your understanding!

1. Using the third option here – http://prntscr.com/n5vqja will display the mobile theme only for users that are served AMP content, coming from Google search results page on mobile. Visiting the website through other means like accessing it directly in the browser will display the responsive version for all the content.

So you could exclude the pages you want from AMP – http://prntscr.com/n5w1ar this way the mobile theme will never apply to them. Only the AMP variant will use the mobile theme.

Currently this is a limitation of the mobile theme, pages can only display mobile editor content. I can’t say at the moment if this will change or how will it change.

2. You could use that plugin if it has the options you require, we do not force users to use the mobile theme + AMP. I have seen users that use it, but I haven’t tried myself to see how it works.

3. I could add this as a request to be tested, maybe it can be solved if there is a conflict. But I can’t promise anything.

Hi,

If you are not using mobile theme with AMP please use only the classic AMP, because the Newspaper theme do not have a template for AMP, only the mobile theme have template for AMP and the native and paired mode require theme’s templates -> https://www.screencast.com/t/vczzJyUNBE

Please make sure that you do not have a plugin conflict with untested plugins, please deactivate all non theme/tested plugins, also if you are using child theme, clear all cache and try again.

Hi,

Try this custom css -> https://www.screencast.com/t/AVchG8gK

.td-header-wrap .td-container {
    padding-left: 0;
    padding-right: 0;
}

Set the code in Newspaper>Theme panel>Mobile theme >Custom code> css -> https://www.screencast.com/t/dA5yufAey save the settings, clear all cache and try again.

Thank you!

Adding a script in the mobile editor may cause problems. What exactly is the code supposed to do?
If you just want to load it in mobile pages and posts, add it in the main theme analytics section – http://prntscr.com/n5vmua it will be loaded for desktop and for mobile.

Or maybe add it in the mobile theme files, load it in the header

Hi,

I would suggest as a first step to clear the cache then deactivate the caching plugin temporarily. Then check if the problem is solved.

In most cases such as this one the problem was caused by caching plugins, the mobile theme is sensitive in this regard. We recommend if possible to use the WP super cache with these settings
https://tagdiv.com/wp-super-cache-plugin-install-and-configure/

Thanks

Hi,

If I understand correctly you want to remove the padding from mobile view
-> https://www.screencast.com/t/c3vplIQFg
If this is what you want to achieve you need to add this custom css in Theme panel>Custom code>Advance css> Phones
Here is the custom code
.td-container-wrap .td-container, .td-container-wrap .tdc-row, .td-container-wrap .tdc-row-composer {
width: 100%;
padding-left: 0;
padding-right: 0;
}
.tdc-content-wrap .td_block_big_grid_1,
.tdc-content-wrap .td_block_big_grid_2,
.tdc-content-wrap .td_block_big_grid_3,
.tdc-content-wrap .td_block_big_grid_4,
.tdc-content-wrap .td_block_big_grid_5,
.tdc-content-wrap .td_block_big_grid_6,
.tdc-content-wrap .td_block_big_grid_7,
.tdc-content-wrap .td_block_big_grid_8,
.tdc-content-wrap .td_block_big_grid_9,
.tdc-content-wrap .td_block_big_grid_10,
.tdc-content-wrap .td_block_big_grid_11,
.tdc-content-wrap .td_block_big_grid_12 {
margin-left: 0;
margin-right: 0;
}

Hope this will help you!
Thanks.

Hi,

The mobile theme is a plugin that provide you a better speed then responsive version of theme, but in order to achieve that speed you’ll need to create a new content for pages because in the most of cases those were made with builders ( tagDiv Composer, WPBakery ) and you need to use only the mobile editor ( you need to set the content for pages in mobile editor and this content will be display on mobile theme)
-> https://www.screencast.com/t/ebUIzt4se

Also please check our documentation for Mobile Theme: Automatic Optimization for Mobile with Newspaper Theme -> https://tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-automatic-optimization-for-mobile-newspaper-theme/

I think that you are referring to those 3 blocks, for those you’ll need to have set seam feature posts (that have set feature category) -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-posts-2/ -> https://www.screencast.com/t/QsJ6ppY4

You’ll need to add some post in feature category -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-posts-2/ if you do not have this category you can create it, just make sure that you set the category name to be
Featured

Thank you for your understanding!

Hi team,

I set all fonts are Montserrat for all fields at “Theme fonts” in Theme Panel.

After setting, every thing is ok on chrome of destop, but not ok on mobile when I set (mobile+ AMP) theme(still old font – roboto).

When I change to only AMP theme, it’s ok now, font Montserrat.

Please help me fix this issue.
