Hi,
Please notice that we do not have any recommended size for your thumbnails used by you in the theme. If you want to optimize your images, you need to use the Photoshop or TinyPNG or you can make it from the code, as you can see here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/Q9b6jtRIjd5z
Thanks for your understanding!

Thanks for the reply. If I choose the default Post Template as Style 2, how can I figure out what is the recommended thumbnail size used here?
Also, on my homepage, I’m using Big Grid 2. So when I go to Block Settings to reference the resolutions, I notice that Big Grid 2 is references in multiple places with 324 X 160 and 741 X 486. What does this mean?
In a situation where I have a featured image on a post also showing up in the homepage Big Grid 2 and/or Block 11, how do I optimize the single image I am uploading?
Thanks,
Matt
I have 9.2.2 version and realized that i still have “tagdiv speed booster” plugin. Do i need this plugin?
(I am also hosted with siteground and they have SG optimizer plugin which is similar to WP super Cache plugin)
Thanks

Hi,
We came across a peculiar problem. The Front page and pagination pages do not refresh, when we publish out a new article/story. We are using WP super cache with extra home page checks turned on.
Also as recommended we have this in our .htaccess

On my WordPress installation (self hosted)homepage I have recent posts embedded into the page as well as other content. The website has news items and sometimes with fresh content several times a day. The problem is that to view latest added content I have to refresh the browser. This obviously isn’t ideal as many visitors to the website return and may not think to refresh.
Is there a way to automatically show the updated page? Or a way to solve the issue.
Thanks, any help will be appreciated
I’m having good results using WP Rocket with Autoptimize minification.
Just having trouble improving the mobile speed.
But almost there!
I already cache php content with Nginx fastcgi cache. I just noticed if you run top on my box and do a search, you can see sql consumes all the cpu for a brief delay and everything comes back. It’s not that the search is terribly slow, but i would love to pre-cache it so the response is faster and there is less load on my server. Is there a sql query its running that i could make sure to optimize around? guess i’ll enable query tracing and see myself, but figured i would ask. The behavior doesn’t look unique to my site and most people may not be paying close attention to search 🙂
Hello,
Is there a way to know what is the recommended resolution of each of the block types, such as the images on the home page and the posts.
Also, I’m taking a lot of images from the web on my website. Is there a recommended tool to resize and optimize images to be used with the theme?
Thanks,
Matt

Hi.
We are using your theme and we are facing the following issues, as mentioned in the subject.
Can you let us know how to solve these? Our db is indexed in full. Seems like we need to optimize those queries in app level.

Hi,
Unfortunately, please notice that plugin has not been designed to be used with our theme and also, the theme has not been optimized for this plugin, sorry! This task involves doing such additional customizations and if you are not aware of the steps which are needed to take in this case, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide custom work at the moment, sorry!
Thanks for the message!

Hi,
Please notice that’s not a problem which comes from our theme, sorry! Please keep in mind that AMP is a built-in plugin which was optimized and integrate into our theme according to the official requirements so far. It would be preferable that you use large images on your site to get the best results. More recently, it seems that Google has put these warnings for the images which are less than 1200 pixels wide (likewise, the height of portrait images should be at least 1200 pixels). The best solution, in this case, would be to manually replace your old image with another one which has minimum 1200px wide, sorry! For more information about this case, you can check the topic that @Eric V mentioned above -> https://tehnoblog.org/how-to-fix-google-search-console-amp-image-size-smaller-than-recommended-in-wordpress/ because this aspect has also been discussed here.
Thanks for your understanding!

I’ve noticed if people use Ajax search box, there is a delay and CPU spike as the search goes on. Is there any information on how to optimize the MySQL query or use object cache with memcached to optimize the search so it’s fast & snappy?
Hi,
I checked your website and now the layout was loaded correctly.

If you want you can try to optimize your website, in this way the speed lode will better.

Hi,
Unfortunately, please notice that the page speed score depends on how well your site is optimized. Also, notice that we can not provide speed optimization and if you are not aware of the step which is needed to take in this case, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you! usually, we recommend the developers from studio.envato.com
Thanks.
Hi Tagdiv Team,
Please, could you tell me whether or not you plan to implement a ‘real lazy load’ rather than the fake animation version? As it stands I am unable to use wp-rocket lazy load because I think the theme images are for some reason classed as BG images or not using the standard WordPress functions. Its the same story for lazy load in the SG-Optimizer plugin from Siteground.
So My questions are:
1. Is this going to be fixed in a future update?
2. Is there a workaround for me to get wp-rocket lazy load working with this theme for now?
Best,
Alastair
Hi,
Please notice that the speed of your website depends on how well your site is optimized.
Notice that is not a simple task and if you do not have any experience in this regard you will do not bring good results for the theme. Also, notice that we have a speed optimization tutorial but this is addressed only to advanced users. So, if you follow the steps which are presented in this tutorial here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/ you can increase the page speed loading and if you are not aware of the steps in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because the speed optimization services are not covered by our support policy, as you can read here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/support-policy-2/ Check our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ regarding on dedicated server to fit our requirements.
Unfortunately, our theme does not have such an option to minify the style.css file and we cannot recommend any plugins with this functionality because is not tested with our theme. For minifying this file, we are using CloudFlare for our demo and works fine. If you want to read other views from our users, please check this topic -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tip-how-to-easily-minify-your-css-without-breaking-your-site/
Also, check all of your Ad Spots and if you have entered any suspicious code through them, remove all of them and check the results without them.
One of our top members here on the forum wrote his own optimization tutorial here:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tutorial-chriss-custom-optimizations-for-functions-php-etc/ and here -> https://www.infophilic.com/get-almost-100-pagespeed-newspaper-theme/
Basically, these are the theme requirements
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Another useful guide for increasing the page speed can be found here -> https://kinsta.com/blog/google-pagespeed-insights/
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
If you have the last version of Speed Booster that cam with theme, and it is activate in System status than should work.

Hi,
1. You need to set a excerpt on title ( Excerpts introduction -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/excerpts-introduction/ ).
2. Please check our documentation for Filter Tab -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/
3. Unfortunately our theme do not have this option of photo grid.
4. Please use this custom css
.td-footer-wrapper div .td_block_template_4 .td-block-title > * {
background-color: #ff4136;
color: #fff;
}
.td-footer-wrapper div .td_block_template_4 .td-block-title > *:before {
border-color: #ff4136 transparent transparent transparent!important;
}
set it in newspaper>Theme panel>Custom code>Custom css
https://www.screencast.com/t/PqwsUKDkv
5. Please check the settings from Settings>Discussion -> https://www.screencast.com/t/zuLKrsGAs3g
Unfortunately for removing the website and links is no option in tagDic Cloud Library , you can use some custom css to hide some of them, if those are not important.
6. Unfortunately our theme do not have this type of menu, maybe you can use a plugin to achieve that
-> https://wordpress.org/plugins/tags/hamburger/
7. Single post templeats can be apply only on posts, pleasee check our documentation for post templates-> https://forum.tagdiv.com/post-templates-2/
8. You can set in page with tagDiv Composer a post loop and set the pagination to infinite load -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/post-templates-2/
9. you can set a gif as background, but the gif need to be set ass full size https://www.screencast.com/t/1jxLwVne2Vp
10. Please notice that the speed of your website depends on how well your site is optimized.
