Hi videomaker, that theme plugin is deprecated from a long time ago, and is no longer recommended to be used, also this is no longer provided in our theme package.
Now there are many other plugins that can by use and have better results then td-speed-booster, for example Autoptimize, WP Rocket ….
Thank you!
Images are being output as the full size large file instead of the optimized versions when using any of the tagdiv composer image blocks (image box, image info box, title over image, text with image), and selecting an image size lower than the full size in the attachment display options.
This is resulting in a huge amount of extra page load.
We are also using MaxCDN and Short Pixel. Have tried it with and without it and get the same results.
Any ideas?
Hello,
Related to the page speed, this is our limit score, check this topic: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/guys-it-is-possible-to-get-good-speed-with-newspaper-theme/
Unfortunately, the page speed is not related only to the theme that you are using, this is affected by plugins/content/ads/ external resources, etc.
Also, I checked your score https://www.screencast.com/t/HzExkzCFykFQ -> https://www.screencast.com/t/5dKz1R2yixoMand it’s a good score, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t have to be optimized.
Please note that page speed is not covered by the support team: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-support/
Thank you!
Hello, I am facing issues with plugins activation. Everything was fine. I wanted to solve my core web vitals issue reducing LCP error. Then I found (https://wordpress.org/support/topic/removing-excluding-jquery-min-js/) this article and placed the code
function my_jquery_enqueue() {
wp_deregister_script( ‘jquery’ );
}
add_action( ‘wp_enqueue_scripts’, ‘my_jquery_enqueue’ );
in the theme’s function.php. After that, all images were broken from my site. I cannot remove EWWW Image Optimizer. If I deactivate it, it still showing deactivate.

WP Rocket is not working properly, clearing cache takes me to another page.

Also “Floating ads bottom” plugin and “UpdraftPlus – Backup/Restore” plugin is not working. When I click activate shows “The link you followed has expired.
Please try again.”
Can you please help me solve the issue? Is there any way to reset the theme to solve the issue? Thank you.

To be able to optimize those elements is quite difficult, so to remove CLS please check these guide => https://developers.google.com/web/tools/lighthouse/ -> https://www.sqlpac.com/en/documents/google-pagespeeds-lighthouse-6-new-features-lcp-cls.html -> https://web.dev/lighthouse-whats-new-6.0/
Please make sure to use our newest tool called tagDiv CSS Analyzer which comes in handy to resolve some of your issues. Take a look at the video guide here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tnkVapqhIHc
“This custom tool performs an automatic test to find missing CSS rules applied by user interaction. Moreover, you can manually interact with a chosen section/component from the page while the tool records all the involved CSS. It will generate the final CSS file for this page and also will split the rules in Critical CSS to be loaded in the website’s header.” ( https://tagdiv.com/whats-new-in-the-newspaper-theme-10-4-update/ )
We tested our tool on our demos, and we have such great results!

I’d like to update this thread …
After working with tagDiv support, I’ve tried numerous things to reduce the size of the table td_011_settings, and none are working.
Today I removed one Template from the site and edited three Categories to get its settings from the Global Template. Between each of the four changes, I ran WP-Optimize to clear unused data from tables.
As I understand it, each of these activities should have resulted in a smaller table of td_011_settings.
Instead, the size of the table increased with each change. The size started at 907862 and ended at 909599.
Any ideas on what I can do to reduce the size of that settings table?
Hi,
Indeed, you have very good results.
What I can suggest for FID is some articles like those:
-> https://seosly.com/first-input-delay/
-> https://web.dev/fid/?gclid=Cj0KCQjw24qHBhCnARIsAPbdtlL1tCJZFGo-LnTJNqPqk1CDPfr9UiqLetc2vhBpnDaxEaC8d2EcMeUaAlZeEALw_wcB
-> https://www.onely.com/blog/what-is-first-input-delay/
-> https://web.dev/optimize-fid/
Maybe some of them you already checked, but I hope it will help you!
Hi! my site is hosted on a dedicated server and I managed to optimize it pretty well but I still have problems with FID. I somehow can’t make it good enough to pass google core vitals.
Is there anything else I can do?

Hello, we are having database threshold issues with td_x_settings (td_websitenumber_settings as it is a multisite) option on websites hosted on WPEngine. This option is going beyond maximum database threshold to activate object caching (a feature on WPE). How can we optimize it? Also can we set off the autoload setting for it in the database?
Object cache has a buffer, or storage, size of 1Mb (and td_x_settings is using on some websites 0.72mb and going beyond 1mb on the others). Here’s more information about it: https://wpengine.com/support/wp-engines-object-caching/
Hello!
I’ve checked your website and I could not see this.
But, I believe this is appearing when you load the page, so this issue can be from your page speed because when the menu is loading too slow then you can have this kind of issue. You need to try to optimize your website.
Thank you!

Hello,
I checked your website using the Gtmetrix tool and the result is very good, which means that the website is super optimized and LCP and CLS are in very good parameters https://gtmetrix.com/reports/holotin.com/EbF2eVqV/ -> https://www.screencast.com/t/iomK1t8y
The results obtained by you are even better than ours obtained on certain demos.
If you want to perform more official investigations related to LCP and CLS you can ask for an optimization service that could help you.

Hello!
If you created the mobile pages with TagDiv Composer, then when you install Mobile Theme plugin, your pages will be overwritten by the plugin.
The Mobile Theme is a performance optimized theme included in the Newspaper main theme and it loads only for mobile devices. It comes with its own templates for page, post, category, etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. For more details, please take a look here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
We was also talking about this here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/amp-version-page-not-being-displayed/ and I was explained to you what will happened if you create your page with TagDiv Composer plugin.
Thank you!
Hi Vlad
The answer is a little short, although I understand that the best option is “default”. I was hoping for a link to documentation on the subject specifying different choices.
I tell you an example, so you can understand which is better. The first rendering is what matters to me. If you look at this url https://www.trebol-apuestas.com/blackjack/ there are several elements that I want to preload the block with the different bookmakers, that is why I add the option “Preload All”. This is a flex block with six elements and “I think” it makes it faster that way in this example, as it prioritizes the loading of the visible elements. And in this case the top image “Inline single image” is also an element that I would like to be prioritized when loading and not have the Lazy Load option. What can be done in this case with images that appear at the beginning to optimize the load. I leave you this video so you can see the aspect in TagDiv. https://www.loom.com/share/77209f86d3df4342be06b20c408ed16b
Hello!
That’s strange because some of our clients were so thankful with the latest update because for them the page speed was increase. Our developers are working a lot to improve the page speed in every update and also to add more settings and more possibilities to change the design or the structure of the websites based on the client’s requirements.
Try to increase your page speed too. If you follow the steps which are presented in this tutorial here: https://tagdiv.com/how-to-increase-page-loading-speed/ you’ll be able to increase the speed of your website.

Better deactivate the plugin and see the results.

Hello,
We can use up to 3 types of content preloading but I would like to know when each one is recommended: no preloading, optimized preloading and preload all. It is not clear to me, depending on the part of the page that should be loaded, what is the recommendation from you to carry out to improve performance.
Greetings and thanks.
Hello!
1. How exactly was the plugin broke ? If it displays shortcodes everywhere you will have to simply reinstall it and activate it. This should fix the issue, if not, please let us know what the result is and send us a screenshot of the error.
2. AMP plugin does work with Newspaper theme and the plugins. Please make sure to use the official AMP that comes with the theme: https://www.screencast.com/t/HKHUKosVx
3. Page speed of any website depends on how well the website is optimized. That mean that everything from content, fonts, images, host, caching, plugins, everything has to be adjusted so the performance will be top notch. You can see here examples of websites that are very well optimized: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/why-i-cant-pass-google-core-vitals/
I hope this was helpful!
Thank you!
Hello,
1. I saw you have only one header, you can import more from Cloud Library => https://www.screencast.com/t/eBWgEj03E
2. the option to remove the unused CSS is used only on pages and this option analyzes the website and all CSS that it finds that is not used is removed. Using the Generate critical CSS option will keep the CSS (is not remove the used CSS) but it is loading the necessary CSS for the first look in the website header and the rest of the CSS will be load in later https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tnkVapqhIHc
3. To improve the core web vitals you need to optimize your website also, you can check this article https://www.wordstream.com/blog/ws/2021/04/02/improve-core-web-vitals and this topic https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/guys-it-is-possible-to-get-good-speed-with-newspaper-theme/

Thank you for responding regarding how to turn off automatic updates. However, my most critical question was not addressed.
Why would the update to version 11 wipe all of my settings in the Theme Panel (especially my custom CSS)?
On your What’s New in v 11 page, it states “The performance optimizer tagDiv CSS Analyzer Tool removes all the unnecessary CSS, generates the Critical CSS for the above the fold, and moves the non-critical CSS to the bottom of the page.”
Is that why all of my code under Custom CSS in the Theme Panel was removed? The custom CSS that I entered was very necessary and now has to all be redone.
What can be done to ensure that after I redo all of my custom CSS in the Theme Panel (and all of the other settings for that matter) that it won’t be removed by another update again?
Hello!
As mentioned above, this all stays in how your website is optimized. You can achieve good speed with mobile template if you set it up right. Don’t use too many elements and be efficient in your design.
Thank you!
Hello!
Your page speed can be the same or even better. This all depends on how well your website is optimized and how well are you building it using the tagDiv Composer.
Thank you!
