The theme render the google link ads the same way as the usual google ads. A solution for this would be to avoid google link ads being passed trough theme’s render. This can be done by aiding a condition in td_panel_data_source.php file like here: http://screencast.com/t/xTNCNS5cdpvP After adding this condition the theme will render google link ads as other ads and theirs code won’t be affected.
I’ve added this on our list and theme’s developers will investigate it.

i love your newspaper theme but……I am considering to switch back to another theme because a google doubleclick ad support is still missing. Google adsense is NOT interesting for professional publishers that have own sales advertising customers. So, where is the problem to support google doubleclick? I dont understand.
I don’t know why but in my multi-page articles .. in the last pages ” Google Ad unit added by Newspaper shortcode ” doesn’t appear specially on Mobiles.

I’ve 2 Ads in every page one ” Top Ad ” added normally from the Theme Panel
And the other added by Shortcode ” [td_block_ad_box spot_id="custom_ad_1"] ”
It appears as a white block :/

You will need to use the theme ad spots properly for the ad codes to be positioned accordingly. For adsense it is enough to ad the code in the proper box in the theme panel. But if your ad code is anything else besides adsense you will need to use this method: https://forum.tagdiv.com/using-other-ads/

Thank you Ing Geek, that totally makes sense. Analytic and Adsense seem to be very picky about js, no wonder, it’s how they control what they pay. I stopped using the speed options in cloudflare after a day or so of experimenting with them and afterwards, I only minify html in cache plugin. Those would brake up some functionality but I always assumed it was because I’m a lazy coder and my site is all patched up. I guess a simple static website with very good code can benefit from cloudflare features, specially rocket loader.

Today I’m seeing no mixed content so I guess you fixed it 🙂 visited several articles and no content blocked and padlock was always green, I saw no problems like yesterday.
Moving to https is usually a good thing. It can lower your traffic acquisition from search engines if not done carefully though. Since http and https use different server ports (most), both versions of a website, if they exist, are considered individual websites. Since the content is the same, search engines will label one as a duplicate. Search engines don’t like duplicate shit. When there’s http and https versions of the same site, webmasters should take measures to inform search engine which version to crawl and index and which to ignore (robots.txt, rel canonical, htaccess)
You only have https version so you don’t have to deal with that. What you might consider is the “juice”. Before you went https, did you had any particular page/article that ranked well in search engines? Or did any “respectable” website linked to yours? If yes, then you are losing that SEO juice because those rankings and those links point to something that doesn’t exist anymore. If no, which probably is the case because you’re online since only 10/2015, then don’t bother.

You can use the custom ads spots to add more ads at post bottom. To do that first place the ad code in on of the custom ed: http://screencast.com/t/DgUzxtbXR then create a blank page, add on it an ad box and select the custom ad spot: http://screencast.com/t/VrS9u3kRi6s After this press the classic mode button to switch in backend editor, copy this code: http://screencast.com/t/BU3WyCEZgi and paste it at the bottom of the article: http://screencast.com/t/8YQpG7UVOX
This is the simplest method but you will have to paste the code manually in every post.
Other method would be to add a new ad spot but this involve changing the code. To do that follow this steps:

If you are using Adsense NEVER minify any JS. If is possible css either. Only use HTML minification .
in cloudflare deactivate everything and set CDN only.
Another thing, use similar ads positions like before you switch to newspaper
And the last thing, every january are less advertisers

Is there a way to cycle through images in the header ad without using Google Adsense? I tried adding a script tag in the area provided (using this example: http://jquery.malsup.com/cycle/basic.html), but it stripped all my other photos on the live page.

Hi, I have to solve a big problem.
Basically I need that I can have a different template from default single post template (complete layout) because
in one case I have certain ads (article ads TOP, BOTTOM and INLINE…..and also sidebar ads) and in other case I have other ads (article ads TOP, BOTTOM and INLINE…..and also sidebar ads)
I need some clarification:
1) Creation of custom sidebar is possible only when I’m editing the article? I did not see anywhere else.
2) Once I have a new custom sidebar, for the posts for which I want the new sidebar I only can configure posts one by one?….. there is only this way? it cannot manage an association of a sidebar to certain items (for example by category, by tag, by date or whatever that speed up the sidebar association if there an high number of posts without having to do one by one?)
3) And about article ads (top, bottom and inline) I cannot diversify somehow configurations of adv inside the content of the article (top, bottom and inline)? Once I configure….this configuration is valid and it’s the only for all posts?
4) If there is no direct way through configurations to have different single post ads configuration
and I have to edit the source code, you have any suggestion about which way is best to follow?
In my case All items from the year 2007 to 2014 must have certain banner ads (article ads… and sidebar ads)
and all the others the current ads configuration (article ads… and sidebar ads)???

I created 2 fixed divs either side of the content, one with left=0 and the other with right=0 and use OpenX ad server to display the ads.

I don’t understand how can I change the font in Pagebuilder mode.
If I add a text block It loads the correct font only if i set paragraph text, when I change in title (H1, H2, H3) the font is another and I can’t find where change these.
I tried with the “Custom Heading” in Visual Composer but my google font there isn’t in list. How can I add It?

Our theme only renders the ad code and displays it on the front-end. For example a custom ad containing just an image of those dimensions can be seen on our demo here: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/
If your code is adnsense then you only need to insert it in the theme panel and then you can set dimensions from the ad settings: http://screencast.com/t/2QXkMVjlr8LH

Another quickie…
I want the ads under titles to be of 728×90 dimension atleast on desktop screens. But currently on my laptop with resolution 1366 x 768 the ads are showing in 468 x 60 dimension. This is definitely hurting the revenue as well…
I have tried expanding the td container class to 1170px to test if it resolves the issue but it didnt. So I need help in this regard

Unfortunately, our theme does not have this such option to change the header Ads depending on Category Page/Post Page/Home page. You should try using a plugin with this functionality and test on your side and see how it works. You can try to use AdRotate plugin. Most of our users have used this plugin and were satisfied.
If you want to add more ads, it is necessary to create another custom ad (custom ad 6, custom ad 7, etc). Please follow the steps in the topic to create another custom ad: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/create-additional-custom-ads/

Your code is adding extra parameter “?fit=700%2C466” and due to that images are doubled up.

Just for the information to have visual composer in the footer I am using combination of two plugins as theme doesnot allow anyway i can edit footer using VC elements. [If there is a way do let me know asap please!]

I solved the align problem myself. Thanks! But I have another problem. My article bottom ads is 728px width and they are cutted a few pixels. Is it possible to adjust the space slightly so that I can see the full ad without breaking the responsiveness?
