Hi,

Please provide some more details about which pagination you are referring to, in which location. If it is the latest articles section displayed on the bottom of the page
https://www.screencast.com/t/l7kLCzT3
This section will be removed when a different page template is selected

Hi,

There already is a Related articles section in the post page
https://forum.tagdiv.com/related-articles/
Each post template has a structure. If you want to change the location of this section, you will have to modify the post template files

Hi,

I am using a template(Pagebuilder + Page title) to show a Page title.
Is it possible to stretch the Page title area(page header)? I would like to change it just like category template(style2).
Now, I see some margin on both side.

thank you.

Hi,

1. On mobile, mega-menus will not be displayed. The mobile menu is limited to drop-down style. Some of the menu items in the header menu do not link anywhere on desktop and on mobile. If these are categories please re-add them in the menu as categories
https://www.screencast.com/t/VbJqb7X7
If they are custom links add a link to them
https://www.screencast.com/t/wGu51kcH2LBY
So they would lead somewhere on the website. Regardless of mobile plugin used or not, the mobile menu will still look the same in design. A difference would be that if the mobile plugin is used, a different menu can be set for mobile
https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Page content built with composers will not be displayed on mobile if the mobile plugin is used. Mobile pages are restricted to the mobile editor.
The mobile theme is intended to present a lighter version of the website, optimized for mobile devices. There will be predefined front page templates, category page, post page etc.

2. You could add the link in the description field of the team member element
https://www.screencast.com/t/zLGIA9ZW9ecE
There are no dedicated options to add links in this element, or the other information you mention, except the description field.
The composer will receive more options and feature over future updates however.

If that option does not appear for you, in almost all similar cases plugins were to blame. There could be a plugin installed that is responsible. Only way to check is by deactivating all plugins except theme plugins. Then see if the option appears.

Thanks

Hi,

1. Please make sure the comments for pages are enabled in the Theme panel->Template settings (the setting should be like in the screenshot)
https://www.screencast.com/t/gcvRa4F5azZf
Also the comments must be enabled in the page settings
https://www.screencast.com/t/WRm0ZXYvoT
The comments should be displayed on the page, like this
https://www.screencast.com/t/Xvyfo7xY3

2. Each page can be constructed as you wish. The composer allows many possibilities. If you are not using the composer for the pages you mention, then the page content is fixed in width. Without a sidebar it will occupy the whole available space.
There are some padding options that can be used to align the text
https://www.screencast.com/t/YQtzljy4

3. The menu can be constructed in any way you wish, simple drop-down menu, mega-menu, page menu
https://forum.tagdiv.com/main-menu/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/mega-menu/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/page-menu/
The “Guides” menu is created by setting a primary category with no sub-categories
https://www.screencast.com/t/0PHrFacmVspI
https://www.screencast.com/t/cX6KfX6e2

That is a category page, each category page can be customized in the theme panel
https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-category-settings-work/

For posts there are many templates to choose from
https://forum.tagdiv.com/post-templates-2/
See them live in the Features menu in the live demo
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/

Please let us know if you have further questions, or you need help with something.

Thanks

Hello,

I’m currently working on developing my site, but I had some questions that I hope you’ll be able to answer.

1) I’d like comments to be enabled on all pages, but when I enable it in Screen Options, it still doesn’t have commenting ability on pages.

2) Removing the right sidebar widget but without expanding the page text, so I’d like to keep the 75% look of the page but without the sidebar. However, I only wish to do this for two pages.

3) The biggest changes that we’d like to figure out are these:

3. Main menu: I’ve rethought the main menu, and this is what I would like now:**

Travel guides Trip ideas Explore CPH Culture City Districts Blog**

Drop down menu under Travel guide, but with no left side bar in it (like “GUIDES” in the main menu of the demo: https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_travel/)**

Template style inside this page should be like this:

https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_travel/category/travel-guides/

Template style inside the actual posts should be like this:

https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_travel/td-post-luxury-hotel-debuts-in-french-alps-lapogae-courchevel/

Drop down menu under Travel ideas with left side bar in it.

Same template style for page and posts as Travel guide.

Drop down menu under Explore CPH with left side bar in it.

Same template style for page and posts as Travel guide.

Drop down menu under Culture, but with no left side bar in.

Same template style for page and posts as Travel guide.

Drop down menu under City Districts, but with no left side bar in it.

Same template style for page and posts as Travel guide.

— My website URL for reference is http://cphexperience.com

Looking forward to your responses. Thank you for your time!

hello,

I already mentioned the images are needed for the multi-purpose plugin and cannot be removed unless you do not use the multi-purpose plugin. Disable the plugin and you can delete the images. Enable it, and the images will be back.

1. We have not tested ahmed kaludi’s ampforwp plugin Sorry
The only tested and recommended plugins to use with our theme are these ones:

WP Super Cache- caching plugin
Contact form 7- used to make contact forms
bbPress- forum plugin
BuddyPress- social network plugin
Font Awesome 4 Menus- icon pack, supported in the theme menus
Jetpack- plugin with lots of features *it may slow down your site
WooCommerce- eCommerce solution
WordPress (Yoast) SEO- SEO plugin
Wp User Avatar- Change users avatars
WPML – multilingual plugin

Anything beyond this list is not tested and I cannot say for sure if it will work or not.

2. That template does not come from our theme. This is your 404 error, not the one in your screenshot: https://www.screencast.com/t/h1bSr37XT1I
Your authoer pages work as expected: https://www.screencast.com/t/Ml9XlPLZdTgL

3. Please clear your browser cache. test from a different browser if you do not believe me.

4. We have absolutely no reports of any such occurrences. If likes disappear, they stay gone. They do not appear again. Please test this as well as the images issue on a sub-domain created for testing purposes with a fresh install of wp and the theme without optimization and plugins.

5. where are the post views not showing up?

6. the wp admin gets slow because you use lots of plugin and have poor memory allocation. Please use this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Please also use wp super cache and these settings: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/ and cluodflare and these settings: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloudflare-cdn/
The use this guide to increase the site loading speed: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/

Hi,

I see you are using the mobile theme plugin, this will present a different homepage then on desktop when active. The mobile theme plugin has a predefined template for the homepage, posts, category pages etc. More about it here
https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
This is meant to simplify and improve performance on mobile. Note that the plugin is optional. If you want the same content from desktop to show on mobile, simply deactivate it. The main theme is fully responsive and will adapt for all devices.

Hi,

@bdundar
The news ticker is a page builder element, the page builder is not available for posts. This could only be done by modifying the post template files and adding the shortcode for the ticker, similar to the solution presented above.
The post template files are located in the main theme folder
https://www.screencast.com/t/sE9JU9U2NJUt
Edit the template file corresponding to the post template used for the post, and insert the ticker if that is absolutely required.

Thanks

Hello,

@dita999
if your bottom ad is placed in the theme panel but does not show up on the post itself, please make sure it is not disabled from the theme panel ads section: https://www.screencast.com/t/1jtKrXuY If this is not the case, please contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp-admin so we can login and investigate. Please also include a link to this topic so we can identify you.

Hello,

I think you are referring to the page builder + latest articles page template. If you change page templates, then the page will look different. Please read this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/page-templates-2/

Thank you!

Simion C.

Hi,

The latest articles can be removed by selecting a different page template, for the page
https://www.screencast.com/t/Pbjvg0AsT
When the latest articles template is selected, the section will always be displayed on the bottom of the page.

Thanks

Hello vitalisv,

If you want to add something like this to your post template page, notice that you should edit the loop-single templated use by you and add the do_shortcode method with a custom ad 1 field, like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/j6DzLiT48Hv
The code is ->
<?php echo do_shortcode ('[td_block_ad_box spot_id="custom_ad_1"]'); ?>

Also, make sure that your Custom Ad is populated with an ad code.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the message!

Hello.
I have a problem with my home page.

Suddenly WP in “modify the home homepage” shows me only half of my widgets.

It had already happened last week. Suddenly it stopped working correctly. Believing it was a bug of the WP Bakery Visual Composer PRO plugin, I tried to install another Composer but half of my home page was still invisible during editing.

I then updated the theme by switching to 8.6.
I also changed the subject by choosing a new default demo.
Then I created a new homepage from scratch.

Everything worked perfectly and properly, even though with the 8.6 version, the Tag Div Composer plugin arrived with it.
Although I had 2 layout plugins, everything worked fine.

I customized the homepage by placing the widgets, but without changing the titles that were based in English (even if from the template I selected the “Italian” language in the translation).

Today I opened my wall, I selected “edit the homepage” to be able to manually translate all the titles of the widgets but, again, suddenly, the template displays me only half of my homepage so I can’t edit or even delete all the widgets that are positioned under the Social buttons (there is a central area with the latest articles, a sidebar and under, the instagram widget, below the footer).

I no longer see either the content area, nor the sidebar nor the instagram widget or the footer bar so, I can’t modify them in any way.

I tried to uninstall the TD Composer plugin but nothing changed. I also uninstalled WP Bakery Page Builder and then installed it again. I emptied the chache, but nothing.

I no longer have access to the final area of my homepage.
Where have it been placed?
What can I do to view it again?

Hi,

You could use custom fields to display that information in the post page. Like in this example
https://www.screencast.com/t/7wBdSz3a9
Edit the post template file used like this (in the example I used post template 12->loop-single-12.php)
https://www.screencast.com/t/sF9iwk36Tr

<p>Adress:<?php echo get_post_meta($post->ID, 'Adress', true); ?></p>
<p>Phone:<?php echo get_post_meta($post->ID, 'Phone', true); ?></p>

The result is like this – https://www.screencast.com/t/rHHtpD5c3a
More about it here – http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/wordpress-custom-fields-101-tips-tricks-and-hacks/

Hello tmerigan,

For your first question, I do not exactly understand what do you mean by unlimited footer? For more information about the footer styles please check here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/footer-templates/
Do you are referring to the logo which contains your company name? Notice that by default, when you tap on the logo, this will link you to the homepage. You should make a new button with your company name with a link. For this, you should use our multi-purpose section from TD Composer and use the Call button from here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/tUHdT8FXL
If you want to get something like that, you should use the 1/3+1/3+1/3 layout and use some multipurpose element like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/an75nVjyjrR
Please check our multi-purpose settings because surely if you will check it, you probably find the answer there to all of your questions.

Thanks for your understanding!

Hi,

The link you have provided leads to a 404 page at the moment. I believe you are referring to the post templates, these are all of them
https://forum.tagdiv.com/post-templates-2/
The templates should look the same when you select them on your website. If there is a problem please specify all the details for a better understanding.

Thanks

Hi,

The theme does not have options to remove the ads on specific pages. If you are using Adsense then you could create such a condition in the code (display none is not recommended for Adsense). You could create the condition in the header style used. This is an example
https://www.screencast.com/t/NXo350HgT
Same for the footer template used
https://www.screencast.com/t/KyJWT2HXHF
This could be a solution. They could be removed with CSS as well like in this example
https://www.screencast.com/t/vD9egHWZ2M

Thanks

Hello,

I updated to Newspaper 8.5 from Newspaper 7 and all of my post pages aren’t working properly. They are now full screen and the sidebar is on top of the post content. My single images inside my post are too big now also. I have tried different post templates, but it does the same thing all of them. How can I fix this?

Hello,

If you click an author, you will be lead to the author page. There is no profile page in our theme. A profile page is created with plugins such as buddypress. If you want to change the default implementation of the theme and change the author page to a buddypress template, you can either redirect the link or alter the theme code.

Thank you!
