I have a few questions about the newspaper7 theme I bought
I am trying to set up my site at http://www.laserbeaver.com
Currently Iâm setting up my homepage
I want to have a full width image slider on my page (as you can see, I allready added one there).
ButâŠ. If I set the page attributes -> template to Pagebuilder + latest articles + pagination then I get the image slider wull width and the Welcome-textblock also full width. BUT… UNDER that welcome block I see that latest articles is coming (intended) and on the right there is the sidebar.
This is not really what I want. I would like to have the image slider full width (like it is now), but the welcome text block and the sidebar should start directly under that image sliding block. Currently the welcome block uses full width too and sidebar only comes UNDER that section.
Changing the page attributes template to Pagebuilder + page title doesnât solve the problem because I donât want breadcrumbs and on that setting the sidebar starts allready directly under my header.
Can I solve this somehow ?

I experience several problems with Newspaper 7.3
I couldn’t find anyway to fix them, so here I am.
First, I use Big Grid 7 from visual composer for my homepage.
Looks good on the desktop, but not appear on mobile.
Second, I use post template style #8.
The header background looks good on the desktop but not appear on mobile.
In fact, the author name falls behind the social buttons so it’s not visible to the readers.
Third, the sidebar in posts not appear on mobile.
I installed the theme on 2 different websites and they both have the same problem.
I’m using Newspaper child theme.

The Say Way demo has not an available template which may be selected from Visual Composer. I have inspected your website and I saw that you are using the pagebuilder+latest articles+pagination as page template. I am trying to replicate manually. Any idea how the demo has the first block on the homepage flush with the header?
Using the radio button, I should be able to revert back to posts from static page. I did this, unable to modify the template using the theme editor.
OK, so I will modify the static page using the limited Visual Composer. I suppose I could upgrade this in addition to paying for the template, but I canât afford that right now.
Maybe you can tell me how this works:
In classic mode: Homepage latest articles > General > Sidebar position. How do I unselect the position? I want the sidebar to load. This allows three selections, none show the sidebar.

Modules and blocks only work with visual composer. No visual composer means no modules and blocks. On pages you will not be able to use theme. You can use modules on category templates but that;s about it. If you want to build a custom homepage with block elements, you will need visual composer. If you select a blog style homepage, you can change the module used by the theme to display the articles but you cannot customize anything beyond that.It will be just likie a category page. I just updated the newsmag theme to the last versiĂłn and after i uploaded it throw ftp acces the mobile menu appears in the head of the theme, What is happening?
Also some features of the homepage get wrong, and i get a lot of blank spaces
PD: I had to keep my old version of the template in my website beacuse i couldn’t fix it, but i want to update it as soon as possible. Thanks

I would like to know if it is possible to customize the blocks used on the homepage layout ? I try to get the look and feel (color, typo) of the “animal news” template but without the date or # of comments showing on the homepage (like on the other theme “food recipes” for example) and with the title in uppercase.
Is there a pannel to do that in the theme settings ?

The mobile theme will not allow any blocks to be added on posts. It only uses on grid created specifically for the homepage and the rest are modules again created specifically for the mobile theme. The theme blocks you can see on desktop cannot be used on the mobile theme as it;s a totally different theme. You must think of the mobile theme as a separate theme that does not have those elements. You cannot use an element from one theme on another. If you want to have the default blocks from our theme on mobile, simply deactivate the mobile theme and use the standard responsive version. That way the mobile version will be able top provide the blocks you need if you add a block to the post template with a do_shortcode function.
As for the social icons, there is no easy way of adding a new social network. They are hard-coded and can only be altered from the theme files.

Hi Im having a few problems –
#1 Using Block 5 in a 1/2 + 1/4 + 1/4 row – in th 1/2 block
Im getting a huge gap between the feature image and the title.

#2 The crop on a feature image when it it is in a 1/4 column
is not favoring top – center. it seems top-left.

Wp Rocket is not among tested plugins and we can’t provide an accurate answer why it breaks theme’s functionality. From other reports some of the pluginâs features, like page caching works fine, but some of them like css/js minification are known to create issues with our theme.

The theme set a 1068px width for content and this value can be changed easily. All theme’s blocks, modules and post/page templates relay on this value so if it’s changed all layout must be re-built.
