Hi,
This problem appears when you install the theme on a site that already has content. The theme comes with it’s own thumbnails to minimize the page size and increase the page loading speed. To fix the problem, you need to regenerate the thumbs -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/
If the problem persists, make sure that you do not have a plugin conflict, please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv plugins, also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.
The tagDiv Cloud Library plugin is only in Newspaper theme, Newsmag them do no have this plugin.
Thank you!
Hi,
I use the “Regenerate Thumbnails” as you suggest in your guide, but the plugin does not optimize the size of the image.
This can be impact not only on the free space required on the server, but SERP.
What tool, plugin or script do you suggest to optimize the image?
thanls
Hi,
The theme need to create thumbs for each thumb enable in theme panel -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/theme-thumbs/ if the images that you are uploading in media library are to small the theme can not create these thumbs, therefore you need to use a plugin to regenerate the images to the size that your theme needs -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/
If the problem persist please provide me a link to your website and some example.
Please enable only the thumbs dimension you use.
Hope this will help you!
Thank you!
Hello Calin,
Yes, for small screens Banner size looks okay, but if you open this blog theme into more than 1900 width like I am using 1920px X 1080px. In those screens Banner size not looks good.
I also visited:- https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/, but, yes I installed this theme on Existing Blog, as their mentioned “This problem appears when you install the theme on a site that already has content. The theme comes with its own thumbnails to minimize the page size and increase the page loading speed.”
How can I solve this problem, so the user experience will increase. I also installed https://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/ plugin too for regenerate thumbnails. But still have same problem. Suggest me what to do?
Should I need to give you Login details to check the status ??
Waiting for your quick response.
Hello,
every time I post and attach an image, the server creates 20 different versions of that image with different sizes, which apparently are needed since each one is used for each individual Blocks.
We would like to avoid it. How can we do?
Do we need to disable the blocks we don’t care about in Block settings> Thumbs on module blocks?
If we turn them all off, what happens?
Also … what is the module blocks of the mobile version?
Last request: our server is overloaded with 20 different versions of the same image, is a reverse procedure possible on the Regenerate Thumbnails plugin, or can I delete all 20 regenerated versions and leave only the original image file?

Hi,
What you can do is to regenerate the thumbs and check to see if there is a difference -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/ normal our theme create a thumb image for each thumb enable in theme panel -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/theme-thumbs/
If the images look blurry on homepage, what you can do is to use some flex blocks or a Big grid flex you have some more control over the featured image using this element -> https://i.imgur.com/9eZ0pJe.png

Hi,
The theme need to create thumbs for each thumb enable in theme panel -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/theme-thumbs/ if the images that you are uploading in media library are to small the theme can not create these thumbs, therefore you need to use a plugin to regenerate the images to the size that your theme needs, that is way the problem persist. Usually we recommend to use bigger images, do not worry, the theme will use only the selected size, will not use all of theme, only the seize needed.
Hope this will help you to understand the situation.
Thank you!
Hi guys,
we updated our website from Default to Default Pro and struggle with a few points.
First off, when i import a new header (Header Template 51) all of my thumbnails of the homepage disappear. Is this a bug?
Furthermore thumbnails are gone for ‘related articles’. Do i need to regenerate them? Because the size from old to new hasn’t changed, but still no images are displayed.
PS: Which template should i use to get the nearest to the ‘Default’ post template?
Best,
Yannick
Hi,
So you can chose from theme panel the thumbs you want to be created -> https://i.imgur.com/LD8QXWM.png also the WordPress create some thumbs -> https://i.imgur.com/7SnVN9C.png also you can make a backup and go in wp-content\uploads and delete manually the images that you do not longer want; do this only after you deactivate the thumbs you no longer want to use.
Another plugin for thumbs is Thumbnail Regenerate plugin you can get it from our documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/ unfortunately this will not remove unused thumbs.
Hope this will help you!
Thank you!
Hi,
Yes, the theme create thumbs for all images when these are add in media library.
What you can do is to use the Regenerate thumbnails and delete unused thumbnails plugin -> https://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails-and-delete-unused/ or this one https://wordpress.org/plugins/force-regenerate-thumbnails/ there are many plugins that can do this.
Or you can add only the images for featured image using the media library and the rest of them you can upload using ftp in this way it will be upload only the original size.
Thank you!
Hi,
1. Make sure that the thumb 648×320 is enable in theme panel -> https://i.imgur.com/1xEduLe.png, also you can regenerate the images, this should fix the problem -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/
2. For this you can use a custom css like this one -> https://i.imgur.com/iomR2FA.png also you have assigned an empty tag.
The code need to be set in Theme panel> Custom code> Advance css> iPad -> https://i.imgur.com/5IbXg8Y.png
–
.tdb_single_tags .tdb-tags li{
display: block;
}
.tdb_single_tags .tdb-tags li:last-child{
margin-top: 8px;
}
3. Indeed there is an issue on Internet explorer + Flex Blocks.
Please try this code:
[class*="ie"] .td-module-container {
display: block;
}
[class*="ie"] .td-image-container {
height: auto;
flex: initial;
}
The code must be inserted here: https://www.screencast.com/t/J1Nxw5s5
4. For me your website look ok when I zoom it -> https://i.imgur.com/aL2Uy7E.png the website that you provide as example indeed seems to be boxed you can achieve similar by setting a background color.
If you want you can check some demos -> https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_style_pro/ -> https://demo.tagdiv.com/select_demo/select_demo_newspaper?utm_source=live_preview&utm_medium=click&utm_campaign=demos&utm_content=demos_button#demos
5. Our theme can not force the users to open the Facebook app, but for the most users there should by a popup to choose the way you like to open the link (if the user do not have set one option by default).
6. For this you can use a custom css like this one -> https://i.imgur.com/OccJXEZ.png this code will be apply only on this page
.page-id-1089 .tdm_block_button .tds-button .tds-button1 {
pointer-events: none!important;
}
The code must be inserted here: https://www.screencast.com/t/J1Nxw5s5
Hope this will help you!
