Hello,
1. The theme will create the thumbs necessary for the blocks but it cannot enlarge images. Your image is smaller than the thumb needed for that block. Your image is 640×415 while the thumb requires 741px width minimum.
2. Please use the “force regenerate thumbnails” plugin to regenerate all your thumbs.
3. It seems this could be a plugin conflict. Please test this without plugins as it seems the js for the lazyload animation does not get through properly.
4. The width of the element comes from the iframe itself. Please check iframe controls to select a different width for your embed.
Thank you!
Hi,
You should upload images that allow the creation of the thumbnails you use
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/theme-thumbs/
That message is a prompt that mentiones that the thumbnail necessary for that module is not enabled in the theme panel block settings, so it will not be created.
Enable it and regenerate the thumbnails
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/
The images you use should be bigger, the theme will crop them center-top and create the thumbnails that are enabled in the theme panel, these will appear in the grids and modules/blocks you use
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-image/
Hi,
That smart list style uses the thumbnail size created by WordPress
– https://www.screencast.com/t/WgSMwtRB
So if you want to modify the size of the images in that smart lists style, modify the WordPress thumbnail size. Be sure to regenerate the thumbnails after you modify the values

Thanks
Hi,
You can ask as many questions as needed, we and other users will try to help you as best we can.
For that post template in order to achieve a quality result, the image should be bigger. For example the demo uses a featured image of this size
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/snow.jpg
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/td-post-the-new-screen-savers-the-show-that-launched-video-into-the-stratosphere/
If there is a background color or image set, the website will be boxed, so the post template would look like this
– http://prntscr.com/kaq0or
You could try some thumbnail cleaner plugins, make some tests with them. Maybe these one
– https://ro.wordpress.org/plugins/thumbnail-cleaner/
– https://ro.wordpress.org/plugins/force-regenerate-thumbnails/
Consider making a back-up before, in case something doesn’t work as intended, better to be safe.
You could try a third party pages widget, the default widget allows only to exclude. I believe there are also solutions online to modify WordPress files to make the pages widget include instead of exclude.
Note that our blocks can display pages as well
– https://www.screencast.com/t/CPaAjXzV8xNp
You can filter the pages by ID, adding specific IDs will only display those pages.
Thanks

Hello geekykant,
You should regenerate your thumbnails using the Force Regenerate and Thumbnail Regenerate plugin. -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/
Thanks.
Hi,
@spelling A general way to disable the cropping does not exist, each module will crop the original image to create a thumbnail
– https://www.screencast.com/t/AQ1Phu9m8D
You could try to modify the crop there, or remove it, then check the results. It would be the same as before if you modified this previously. Be sure to regenerate the thumbnails after you make the modifications

I am having an issue with the thumbnail images not displaying properly. On certain modules like module 10 some images are displaying correctly and some are oversized and overlapping the next image. I have tried to regenerate thumbnails, but this does not seem to have rectified the issue.
Can I send a private message with my URL for you to look at.
Thank you

Hi team,
could you please advice, how to resize and “regenerate” thumbnails for some modules, when there is streched row selected? Please see homepage http://www.tvguru.cz/

Hello dbshanta,
Try to regenerate the thumbnails using the Force Regenerate and Thumbnails regenerate plugin.
Thanks.
Hi,
Regardless of form of pagination, the block will always use the same module type. In your case the initially loaded modules are with problem, not the ones that are loaded with the load more button.
Block 5 looks like this – https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-5/
I see there is a problem with the thumbnails used for the first 10 modules in that block, please regenerate them and check if the problem is solved
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/
Also I see you are using some CSS in the child theme I believe to set a minimum height of 324px to a thumbnail that by default is 235px in height (module 3)
That would not a proper way to do it. Maybe try and use blocks which have a thumbnail size that works best for you, instead of that
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/theme-thumbs/
Regeneration using “Force Regenerate” worked.
Thanks for your help 🙂
Hello Soeren91,

Hello dwarkapuria,
Notice that the Block 12 should look like this -> https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-12/ Ensure that you are using the latest version of the theme, use only required plugins, all the theme thumbs are enabled from Theme panel -> https://www.screencast.com/t/onwaRGVRX Try to regenerate the thumbnails using the Force Regenerate or Thumbnail Regenerate and check the results.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello,
There are 2 important notes regarding small thumbs in blocks
1. Your image must be at least the size of the thumbnail because the theme will not enlarge images. it just crops them.
2. Your thumbnails must be regenerated. We usually recommend ‘force regenerate’
Thank you!
Hi,
When using the theme with existing content, you have to regenerate the thumbnails. Please use this guide
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/
Thanks
Hi,
From what I can see the thumbnails and featured images are displayed at the moment
– http://prntscr.com/jz3els
There are no errors in the page that would suggest problems.
For media library issues you could check some online topics
– http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-fix-image-upload-issue-in-wordpress/
Check the permissions of the uploads folder. Also try to regenerate the thumbnails
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/
Images are hosted on the server, you could contact your hosting provider and ask them to check if everything is alright in that regard.
Thanks
Hello emmalabbe,

If the problem is still there, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your log-in information (wp-admin) so we can take a closer look at the single image section from your Sidebar. Provide the link to this topic so we can quickly identify you.

Hello,
I just changed my theme to newspaper. Everything is working well except this one thing.
On the home page, below the slider, we have inserted 3 single images in a separate row in 3 columns.
On the test site, no problem, the images appear sharp. Once the settings are exported to my blog, the images appear blurry. They are well in real size, and the thumbnails have been regenerated. Any idea on how to solve this?
Thank you in advance 🙂
Hello commandeleven,
Try to regenerate them using the Thumbnails Regenerate or Force Regenerate and check the results.
