2. How to remove the search button from the menu panel?.
3. How to i remove the date and tags and the name of the post on the slider.
Thank you in advance.
Hi,
If you don’t need it you can also disable the plugin to remove that css file.
Make sure you follow this tread: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/can-i-add-plugins-css-to-footer/#post-6348
Thanks
Hi,
If you don’t want the light box you can remove it like this: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/dont-want-light-box-for-images/#post-17108
Please let me know if this helps!
Thanks
Hi,
You can disable jetpack plugin to remove it or follow this guide and use the function which moves the js to the footer to do it: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/can-i-add-plugins-css-to-footer/#post-6348
Thanks
hello fedor2333
Whenever you post the issue, please post the affected URL, that will saves lot of time to the support team.
http://wuyeteke.com/autorretratos-frutas-cristina-otero-7673/
First of all i will tell you what happen with the above URL, earlier when you save and published this post, you have used <—-next—-> page tag, so google bot crawls it quickly.
But you have removed next page tag after some time, thats what why its showing duplicate page URL in search index.
in future avoid indexing such paginated pages, Set canonical URL via yoast seo plugin, that will resolve this issue.
Once you added the canonical tag for the above URL, don’t forget to remove the duplicate URL via webmastertools.
Hi,
The Visual Composer Frontend Editor button was removed from the theme as it’s not compatible with theme blocks.
I think you can leave it if you want, should work with the default elements.
You can enable it like this: http://screencast.com/t/ObPqoA4By
Regarding the CTA button please note that we plan to add a new grid which will support all VC elements so we have this on our todo list and we are working on it. Sorry for the inconvenience. You could try to use a plugin for that until we can provide a fix for this.
Regarding the other buttons you can import the Visual Composer css style sheet which will style all your buttons: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/buttons/#post-21825
Thanks
Hi,
Thanks Christopher!
@titikkoma
Like Christopher wrote you can remove the date using Yoast SEO: https://yoast.com/articles/wordpress-seo/
For the date plase follow the topic I have pasted below as I have posted a solution for this in the last one:
* https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/remove-date-time-stamp-from-all-posts/
* https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/remove-several-date/
Thanks
You should likely learn to use YOAST SEO, as this allows you to build proper site maps for Google for your site, and let them know which pages NOT to index, and which are a priority. E.g., not index tags and categories, and only index posts.
Google keeps track of when the story was first indexed so you cannot hide that from them or other sites like archive.org which may index your content, etc., however you can remove the date stamp from your post pages (there are instructions in the forum, if you search; or wait for Marius or Lucian to reply with help).
You should also learn to use Google Webmaster tools as this identifies which pages have been indexed, you can deprecate (push down) pages, and submit your sitemap once you have YOAST (or similar) fully configured.
Hi,
Thanks Christopher!
@skotina
You can change the uploads folder by editing the wp-config.php file and add this line define('UPLOADS', 'wp-content/myimages'); like this: http://screencast.com/t/LYPM7Uqova6q
This will create a new folder for your uploads: http://screencast.com/t/eE8bWdB13bL
Note that you will also have to add again the images for existing post and regenerate thumbnails: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-fix-strange-thumbnails/
If you just worry for the amount of thumbs that are created when uploading an image then you should consider as Christopher pointed to remove from functions.php file the thumb sizes you don’t use and reduce the number of thumbs being created when uploading an image: http://screencast.com/t/uP620qI8C
Hope this helps!
Thanks
Hi,
Go to Facebook Comments plugin settings and disable the automatic position like this: http://screencast.com/t/xhduGF2G
Add the FB Comments using shortcodes anywhere in the post template you use, like Emil suggested above: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/move-fb-comments-after-post/#post-17659
You can remove the native comments like this: http://screencast.com/t/C09Rdr28Z or you can move them like this: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/hiow-to-reduce-gap-between-box-10-headings/#post-23980
Thanks

Hi,
Please make sure you follow this guide about how to use the mega menu and that you are using this menu right: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-the-megamenu/
To remove the sidebar from home page you need to edit the page then set the template to be full width like this: http://screencast.com/t/izWDNfvjoH5L
Hope this helps!
Thanks
Hi,
@Mr C
1. Please follow this topic, should find there the css you need to remove the white spaces on page: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/remove-white-space-between-blocks/#post-21229
2. I have checked your site and seems like you managed to add the leaderboard ad: http://screencast.com/t/IO5XkA7ki5N6
Please let me know if did refer to something else.
@monicacortes
Depends on the method you chose to update your theme. For example if you update using a patch you can check the changed files log and if changes haven’t been made to those files should work. Still the best way to update your theme is to make a back-up of your current theme and then update and overwrite the files via FTP so you would have to do the changes once again.
We will consider this though, and if more people request this we will try to implement it in future updates.
Thanks for the message!
Had to remove the code and put it in the footer file. I think it would be better if the template did NOT place javascript tags, But was simply a place holder for any code that we want to execute. This way I don’t have to keep copying the code to every footer file for every template update.
Not all code starts and ends with those javasript tags. I’m using Statcounter and Post Affiliate pro and those built in javascript tags in the functions file are messing it up.
=)
Hi,
Please follow this topic: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/move-search-icon-to-top-header-menu/#post-14285

Hi,
This happens when you set images/gallery to link to attachment page. You need to edit the gallery/image and set it to link to media file instead.
If you need them to link to the attachment page use this method to remove the light-box feature as it wont work with images linking to attachment page: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/dont-want-light-box-for-images/#post-17108
Thanks

@TheMediumUTM Thanks for the tips.
Jetpack: I’m now using only 4 features within this plugin. I’m now viewing my stats on Google and WordPress.com
Hide My WP: Since looking at your advice i’ve removed this plugin from my website. It’s true, i guess. If someone wanted to hack my website they could tell i’m using WordPress straight away. I’m using this plugin: ‘Wordfence Security’, so hopefully it will prevent hackers.
Wordpress SEO: I need some sort of SEO plugin to help with my news website. I believe this is one of the best?
Social Networks Auto Poster: This plugin saves time, really. I have it post to my social networks because it gives me more time to create new articles than trying to promote/share my content on social media, which takes up more time. Are there any better plugins than this one?
Easy Social Share Buttons: I removed the TagDiv share buttons because they weren’t loading fast enough. I found this plugin and it seems to have more features and allows me to customise it more.
Adminimize: Allows me to simplify the backend for my editors, and lets me hide specific plugins which i don’t want my team to see. But i suppose deactivating it creates more risk? Such as myCRED, most of the settings pop up for non-admin users, which i don’t want. See my problem? :/
Thanks 🙂

Hmm… I’ve never done this myself (create a new post template). Your blank page might have something to do with the content being loaded partly in single_template_#.php and partly in loop-single-#.php for each of these templates. Do you have all the parts you need?
P.S. If you’re going to repeat that code for each sidebar case, you can at least define a function in the same file. That is to say, have this at the top, in PHP tags:
function my_features_fields() { // No parameter because $post is still active
// Update this list using the same format for all the field names you want
$field_names = ['2g_network', '3g_network'];
// Set up tabs
$to_echo = '[vc_row][vc_column width="1/1"][vc_tabs]';
// Set up features tab
$to_echo .= '[vc_tab title="Features" tab_id="features"]';
// Begin a list
$to_echo .= '<ul class="features_list">';
// Loop through the fields
foreach ($field_names as $field_name) {
$data = get_field_object($field_name);
// Check if we have a value and set to a default if not
if ($data['value']) {
$value = $data['value'];
} else {
$value = 'No information on record.';
}
$to_echo .= '<li>' . '<span class="features_label">' . $data["label"] . ': </span>';
$to_echo .= '<span class="features_value">' . $value . '</span></li>';
}
// Close the list
$to_echo .= '</ul>';
// Close the tab
$to_echo .= '[/vc_tab]';
// Close the tab group etc.
$to_echo .= '[/vc_tabs][/vc_column][/vc_row]';
// We have to filter the whole string to make WP interpret the shortcodes
$to_echo = wpb_js_remove_wpautop($to_echo);
// Output
return $to_echo;
}
And then just have this one line wherever you want to place your tabs:
<?php echo my_features_fields(); ?>
Good luck getting the rest working! I’ll stop checking this thread shortly, but it’s been good.
Hi,
That is what speed booster plugin dose, it’s using minified js to speed up your site.
You need to remove the js for the light box from the site.min.js also, I have posted the solution for this here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/imagebrowser-not-loading/#post-22357
Thanks
Heya,
First of all, I’m far from the most brilliant guy on tagDiv. If I were, we wouldn’t have spent have a dozen posts correcting my tiny mistakes 😉 I’ll give that title to Chris to avoid favouritism among the actual staff…
Your ideal setup definitely requires some custom work that I don’t have time to provide at the moment. I would go to http://studio.envato.com, as tagDiv recommends — or you could do some learning, just like I did, and do it yourself 😀 But I will make a few comments:
Having content in these tabs that differs from post to post means you’ll either need to make extensive use of custom fields, or you could use Visual Composer settings to build the post itself. The question is what are you using the regular post content for? A comment on the phone, for example?
The first option would mean that you’d insert code similar to what I’ve been giving you, and have it appear on every template, using custom fields to determine the content. For example, as you probably know, ACF has a WYSIWYG editor field that you could use for your review. The buy now would not be as easy to automate through such a field, in my opinion (but you may already have a solution and just be looking for how to use tabs for it?).
The second option is that you’d construct these posts in the editor itself using Visual Composer, and then perhaps use custom shortcodes to display the content of your fields.
Or a real developer might suggest some much more sensible solution. :p
But I will give you one last thing, namely a basic tweak of my above code just for your “Features” tab.
The idea is the same. You’re opening up a vc_tabs, you’re opening up a tab, and then you’re looping through features-related fields. It could look like this, with lots of extra comments and line breaks to make it clear for you:
// Update this list using the same format for all the field names you want
$field_names = ['2g_network', '3g_network'];
// Set up tabs
$to_echo = '[vc_row][vc_column width="1/1"][vc_tabs]';
// Set up features tab
$to_echo .= '[vc_tab title="Features" tab_id="features"]';
// Begin a list
$to_echo .= '<ul class="features_list">';
// Loop through the fields
foreach ($field_names as $field_name) {
$data = get_field_object($field_name);
// Check if we have a value and set to a default if not
if ($data['value']) {
$value = $data['value'];
} else {
$value = 'No information on record.';
}
$to_echo .= '<li>' . '<span class="features_label">' . $data["label"] . ': </span>';
$to_echo .= '<span class="features_value">' . $value . '</span></li>';
}
// Close the list
$to_echo .= '</ul>';
// Close the tab
$to_echo .= '[/vc_tab]';
// Close the tab group etc.
$to_echo .= '[/vc_tabs][/vc_column][/vc_row]';
// We have to filter the whole string to make WP interpret the shortcodes
$to_echo = wpb_js_remove_wpautop($to_echo);
// Output
echo $to_echo;
My note above about only needing to change $field_names applies to this as well.
If you were going to put other tabs in, you would modify the lines that open and close the tab groups, and use those in a similar way. I realize that this is just a simple list and not a table like you wanted — more research would be needed for me to construct a way of getting the label of the field group and such…
Hope that helps. I do think what you need isn’t just “support” but custom work, although it will be fantastic if you can figure the rest out by research, trial and error.
Best of luck!
It has no impact on Google News, which is why that has also been removed from Google News results (we’ve been in GN since it launched a decade ago as beta). It won’t hurt you, but Google no longer captures the information at all so it’s kind of like the Dublin core tags of old, doesn’t hurt, since you can make any kind of meta tag you want to, but the rel=author is 100% dead as far as Google is concerned.
Here is the official blog post from Google on end of authorship support.
Again, Google has officially stated that rel=author is no longer supported for ANYTHING.
Original announcement of end of support:
https://plus.google.com/+JohnMueller/posts/HZf3KDP1Dm8
I’ll like to say since i bought ur theme back in 2013 it had been very stable and awesome support by ur team,and the last updates just prove how loyal you are to ur clients.
Thank you for a great theme and the support as well..

Yes, just checked your file and the problem is in the context — you forgot to wrap the new code in a <?php> tag. Hence it’s being treated as HTML. Your whole file should look like this:
<?php
/**
* The single post loop for post template 1

the_post();

} else {
echo td_page_generator::get_page_breadcrumbs($td_mod_single->title);
