So it used to work initially, but now it does not anymore. Did you maybe install a plugin before this happened? if you temporarily deactivate all non-theme plugins does the composer work correctly?

It is important that these are respected, especially the wp-memory (we recommend 256M). Notice the code provided at the end of the guide, it has to be entered in the htaccess file. You could contact the hosting provider to make the changes for you where needed.
In case the issue remains, we can take a closer look at it. Please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide the website and admin login. Also cPanel so we can check the settings there. Include a link to this topic in the email.

If you want to make a theme update please check our documentation -> https://tagdiv.com/update-newspaper-theme/ but this will not fix the problem if you have a plugin conflict or the theme status are to low.

If needed you could contact the hosting provide and ask them to configure the server and wordpress parameters as mentioned there. There will most likely be problems if there aren’t sufficient resources, especially wp-memory (we recommend 256M).

In order to have a different and faster look on mobile you should use the Mobile Theme Plugin. Find out more about it here: https://tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-automatic-optimization-for-mobile-newspaper-theme/
Please make sure that you do not have a plugin conflict for the print button. It works perfect on our side. Disable ALL non-theme related plugins and delete your cache. For cache we recommend using WP Super Cache: https://tagdiv.com/wp-super-cache-plugin-install-and-configure/

Please note that child theme is not mandatory to be used in our theme. Most of the theme files were moved into the tagDiv Composer plugin as per the requirements of Envato: https://help.author.envato.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000472383-WordPress-Theme-Requirements. We wrote an article on the subject here: https://tagdiv.com/updating-the-core-of-tagdiv-themes/ Moving forward with such requirements, a child theme will only work with functions.php, and style.css, as there are very few files left in the main theme as Envato, requires all functionality to be added through plugins.
