Hi,

You can downgrade to a previews version where this is working normally, the update to Newspaper 9.7 is all about the envato requirements, you can check the news and fix here section changelog.

If you need a previous version and you do not have it you can send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and we’ll provide the version you need.

Thank you!

Hello !

I’ve reviewed your page and on mobile the ad is there, under the Header: https://www.screencast.com/t/hKcPNfoK. In desktop you will need to add a code in order to align it better as you can see here there is some spacing under the header: https://www.screencast.com/t/Z8WrFC3qK

Here is the code:
.td-main-page-wrap {
padding-top: 0px;
}

The code has to be pasted here: https://www.screencast.com/t/vae3YqXdw

Thank you !

OK, I have made some progress with creating a header but still have some issues, basically I am trying to recreate what we have in Newspaper 8.8.2 using Newspaper 9.7.3 and the Header Builder. My issues are:

1. I can’t set my submenus to use “background” as the hover style, I only have Default and Underline. Not sure why background appears for the main menu but not for the submenus.
2. I cannot see a way to set the height of a menu. My top menu is twice as high vertically as it needs to be but I see no way to adjust that. I even tried creating a custom class for the menu in the TD composer and then adding CSS to set the height but that did not work either.
3. The logo and header ad elements I have in the Header Builder appear to be positioned correctly, but when I preview them the header ad (728×90) shrinks way down and the logo moves far to the left.
4. I have the live search in the header menu, but I had to create a 3/4 + 1/4 column and put the menu in the 3/4 and the live search in the 1/4, but now there is way too much space between where the menu ends and the search starts. Not sure how I can close that up. You can’t seem to click and drag to adjust sizes or spacing in the builder.

I have created three images to show what I am describing above. One is the view of the new header in the header builder, one is the wya it previews, and the third is the header I have on our live site, which is using Newspaper 8.8.2. Thanks for any guidance you can provide.

I think I’ve found out what happens. I get an infraction for adult content on an erotic TV channel. Before I had already put information on this type of channels and nothing had happened. It may be that the filter is now more restrictive. I have requested a review, although it may take a week or more. I hope that is the case, if I do not raise the problem here again. Thank you!

Update:

I’ve now tried adding the widget through the widget section and Live Preview. In Live Preview, when I add either a title or a Twitter handle and tab through to the next field, that information that I just typed disappears.

Hi Guys,

How would I change the button colour in certain posts?

As it is, all the buttons are set to my overall theme colour but I want them to stand out on certain blog posts.

Here’s an example: https://www.gardenseeker.com/reviews/machinery/best-robot-lawn-mower/

I want all the buttons in this article to be a different colour.

Can you help?

Thanks

Hi,

By default that is not possible, that field can’t display shortcodes unfortunately. This will require modifications to theme/composer files to achieve. Modifications that will be lost after a theme update because they are not possible to do in a child theme anymore.

The better solution would be to maybe consider using a review plugin, that has the capabilities you require. Try some free plugins for example

Hello !

I’ve reviewed your page and there seems to be no problem: https://www.screencast.com/t/szbmxj3fps.

There is a problem with general modal image in theme panel, please make sure that you deactivate it -> https://www.screencast.com/t/Nx6YmhF0
After that check to see if the image is set like in our documentation -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/modal-window/

This problem will be fix in the coming update.

Thank you !

Hi,

@vivreausmic
From what I can find this ads.txt file is used by publishers to declare who can sell ads on their website, found some info here

Dear TagDiv staff,
as you know, in the category page, articles can be ordered by:

latest
featured posts
most popular
7 days popular
by review score
random

I was surprised from the beginning at not finding the chance to order them starting from the first one.

In our case this order could be very useful where some categories contains articles that are created to be read in sequence. We now have some categories where we had to put a link in the category description to the first article while below the first appearing are the last ones 🙁

This missing function also causes a problem because we had to invert the date of 30 posts in a private area (to let the first one appearing at the top), but by doing so, the button “next article” at the bottom of the article shows now the “previous article” of the list, while the button “previous article” actually shows the next article in the list.

Please don’t take it personally but I found this confusing and time consuming, I really hope you decide to consider adding that listing option to future updates.

Of course, in my opinion it would be really useful if from newspaper_themPanel_LayoutSettings_Categories area, we could choose in which order the single category has to show the posts, so that readers already find the posts in the right order as they reach the category. Otherwise, if “last one” is the default setting, reader would be required to change themselves the order but not the best UX in my case.

Thank you for your attention,
best regards
Angelo

Hello !

I have reviewed your page and checked even on some posts and everything seems to work fine: https://www.screencast.com/t/dp2ql5d00kV Please try clearing your cache. For cache we recommend WP Super Cache – https://tagdiv.com/wp-super-cache-plugin-install-and-configure/

Let me know how this works on you !

Hi, had this problem from the update, was hoping that there is something with the caching, but the problem is still here, so decided to try and get some help on the forums.

The problem is simple. When previewing a still not published post, the post format preview changes to tablet, and I am doing this form a desktop, just to be clear.

The post looks like this post preview

Is there a solutions to this ?

Thank you.

Hi Vlad,

Thank you but I already have the default template and downloaded a few single post templates from library. So I can see my articles with the new theme, but I can edit posts using tagdiv.
In preview mode (pages) I have the “edit with tagdiv” button, but then a popup says “The current content hasn’t been created by TagDiv Composer!” So I can only add an element at the top, but can’t move it etc.
With articles, I dont even have the “edit with tagdiv” button anywhere…

Cheers,
Phil

I just viewed blog.tryandreview.com on a different computer but the Footer 1 is still displaying other blogs other than FEATURED.

Hi,
I’m moving my site to Newspaper9, so Id like to use Tagdiv on my content. As my previous theme was not using any page builder, it seems that the content is not compatible. I’ve tried to download templates for the gallery but they wont apply. So could please explain the steps in order to export the content with Tagdiv?
And surprisingly on pages I have the “edit with tagdiv” button (preview mode), but not on posts.
Thank you.

Hi
We’re building a new site on a test environment at the moment and need some help on identifying why the initial load time is either: 1) slow, or 2) delayed/animated upon loading. We have used your gaming demo as a base. I’m referring to the top ‘slide’ image with a black background. However the black background takes a while to load (starts off white for some reason). Can you contact me directly so that I can provide login details to access the site for you to review?
Thanks

Glad it worked. From what I can see you maybe deleted the featured category
https://blog.tryandreview.com/category/featured/
If that is the case, the block will switch to the default sorting, which is by latest. That way the block won’t be empty and have posts to display.
If you want to recreate the featured category you can you can do it like this
https://www.screencast.com/t/Y2QPRE7xeX
It should function same as before after creating it.

Excellent! This worked thanks so much!!

Last question, for my Footer under “FEATURE”, I notice it also shows blogs that don’t contain the “Feature” category. So currently, this blog is showing in my Footer under “FEATURE”: https://blog.tryandreview.com/2019/06/10/11-instagram-hacks-of-2019-you-need-to-know-to-stay-on-top-of-your-game/

I used a Block 7 widget for “Footer 1”. Is this not correct?

If this one is valid, it’s amp version doesn’t load. It still loads the normal page.

In the second screenshot that you have sent if I try to check the preview result, this is what I get – https://prnt.sc/nzxuki

The link I used is also valid as AMP. But the AMP version of the page doesn’t load.

This is what I see now when I test using the search console
Google Index – https://prnt.sc/nzxww6
Live Test – https://prnt.sc/nzxx1o

If you search for the link in the URL, it won’t open the AMP page.
