I’ve been your customer for 3 years. I’ve always like this theme, but I think it lacks something very important: Post customization
It’s good that you guys focus on visual appearance of theme, but post is an important area. To make the post interesting, we should be able to user different attention grabbing boxes, tables, impressive pros and cons tables product reviews, and so on. Take a look at this page for example: thankyourskin.com/how-to-get-rid-of-acne/ (notice boxes like ‘key takeaways’, ‘information box’, another boxes with built-in CSS and so on) and this: 10beasts.com/best-wireless-earbuds/ (they use thrivetheme and they offer built-in post customization options with custom tables, navigations, pros and cons.)
It would be great if you guys can build these and focus on post elements options. For posts like reviews, buying guides, these elements are very important. Visually appealing post also increases visitor’s average time on site. I hope you consider this in the upcoming updates.

thank you for your kind response, the problem persists even I deleted and installed the theme from zero. The theme icon in WP admin panel is also missing, just this icon, rest are visible. If you check my site with gtmetrix.com for example you will see on the preview that the icons is also missing, and this preview is generated on different location from my local machine. Also I’ve tried to deactivate SSL plugin in order to isolate mixed content problems. Same result. It is theme-related problem, but I have no idea how to deal with it.

I have inspected your website and I saw that your icons work as expetected. Try to clear all the caches, purge all CDN files if you are using the CDN system and check the results.
Regarding on page speed, please notice that thing depends on how well your site is optimized. Dear Sir
I tried the following CSS Code in the theme panel,
.woocommerce ul.products li.product h2 {
overflow: hidden;
text-overflow: ellipsis;
white-space: nowrap;
}
This helped me to shorten the product title to 1 line, with three dots at the end. However, this does not take effect in the “related products”. Whenever we open a product page, at the bottom, the related product title is too long.

All the titles are limited to 1 line, with 3 dots at the end of the title
Open a product page, and go down to the related product section, the above CSS has a weird effect on it. The title is in one line alright, but is the full title, not the shortened title like on the shop page.
Do you have any fix for that?

You will probably need to search for plugins that can offer those options.
The theme uses the default WordPress user roles and capabilities
– https://codex.wordpress.org/Roles_and_Capabilities
You can the create the roles needed based on these specifications, and then the guests can create posts, edit posts, submit for review posts etc. based on their capabilities.

My site – AjijicToday.com was created with the TopNews theme which I have had a number of issues with. After much research I bought the Newspaper 8 theme. I imported the demo without the content as instructed and now I’m trying to revise my pages, but I am really struggling. I’ve read forum posts and the documentation but I’m still lost. I’m trying to use the Visual Composer to add elements to mirror the ones I had on the pages, but even though I save the edits, when I preview the page there’s nothing there. All I see is code from the previous theme. Really appreciate any help to get me started because I think this theme is going to be awesome.
Hmmm… this link I do have a sidebar and its still vertical? Am I missing something?

Hi,
There is no extra charge or payment required for installing demos. However I believe the theme key should not reset after you uninstall a demo. There should be no problem if you enter it again though.

I am using Visual Composer. See example here. I tried it in a text widget, in a smartlist and a blank post, but none of it worked.

Hello,
i have a problem with grids.
After some editing posts i noticed that grids are not complete.
On front page i use big grid 9 with 4 columns. But only 3 are showing. I did not edit that home page today at all.
I also tried grid with more column and everytime just one is not showing up. It is empty space there.
Before i started reviewing posts everything works fine.
The only thing i did was to install and activate Duplicate post plugin. I now deleted it but no luck.
What can be the problem, please help ?

as a consequence of upgrading to 8 and the subsequent image thumbnail regeneration of all new image sizes, the number of files in my uploads folder went through the roof and pushed me to the limit of my host allowance.
there are one or two plug ins trying to do that job, but reality is that if you are on the type of hosting where that file number is an issue, you probably won’t have the resources to run them. very buggy anyway looking at reviews.
i found a very useful and relatively straightforward method of deleting all of the old and no longer needed image thumbnails, in my case about 60,000, using ftp – sound advice from a hard core tech at cPanel.
I would be happy to write a ‘how to’ post the benefit of other users in the same boat – but do you allow that sort of thing? a guide written by a user?

Slight issue when sharing articles or posts on one of our sites. Seems to be adding an exta @ when sharing to twitter. Not a huge issue but will eventually lead to issues regarding SEO and Social Media. Has anyone seen a fault like this before.

I totally understand your comment on this and I will look forward having an inbuilt feature for this in our themes.
Everyone wants to get extra traffic to their site and for any news/magazine site whose main source of revenue is based on RPM, it’s very much needed.
TagDiv is the best and the most popular news/magazine theme still available in the market but with this sudden surge in ‘mobile first’ users and with the inception of new features like ‘infinite scrolling’ etc., I believe your dev team must need to review their priorities.

I manage a website, which is powered by your Newspaper theme (https://www.law-news.ch). We use two category-systems to order our posts: one category-set is for the wider topics (reports, court decisive, law changes, book reviews) and the other is for the jurisdictional topic the post belongs to (so every post has at least two categories). In the homepage image grid, we only want to show the links to the following categories: reports, court decisive, law changes, book reviews (but not to the jurisdictional topics).
Is there a way, to filter the categories, which are shown as links in the homepage image grid?

Unfortunately, all the photos which are presented in our demo preview cannot be saved or distributed to our clients because we do not have any license to do this, sorry! We use these only to present our products.
