I found the problem. The one plugin that we use (Edit Flow – https://wordpress.org/plugins/edit-flow/) to manage our content calendar is throwing posts off. They have extra statuses for workflow.
Pitch (Default)
Assigned
In Progress
Draft
Pending Review
Published
When a post was classified as anything but ‘draft’ for preview, it wouldn’t work. Figured I would go into detail in-case anybody else has the same issue.

If the SEO is done properly (use seo yoast) you do not need any extra markup in the theme or spend extra money for it. The theme will allow you to get review stars in google. We did not use any extra markup than the one already present in the theme.

Specifically with Smart Lists that are not enabled by touch. there is text added to the URL, but it continuously reloads page 1 of the pagination. I was having the issue on version 7.5. I just updated to 7.6 today and it’s still happening.

Newspaper already has a schema implementation, and it already has owner/author ratings for products, so we’d like an update allowing 1-5 star user/visitor ratings for blog posts.
We DON’T want review comments, because they clutter up the page. Just stars rating, and then the aggregate rating added to Schema markup. The sole goal here is star ratings for blog posts in Google, which the boss asked for.
Should clarify: we are looking for an update to Newspaper, not a plugin. We’ve tried 5 schema stars rating plugins, they all either conflict with the theme or require destroying the existing schema framework to implement (and they’re ALL missing critical elements).
Ok thanks, then let me ask it other way. What’s the body font name? 🙂 Because it looks like review, article descriptions and everything are using at the moment one type of font, but posts have totally different font. If body type is excellent to read, then same time posts font is not easy to read.
And Theme Fonts panel does not show wich font you are using at the moment, it will show default everywhere until you change these fonts. And I would like to add posts same font as everything else on the page is using. 😉
After update theme and plugins ton latest version (theme 7.6 and rev. slider to v5.3.0.2) my revolution slider in home page and in preview not show futered image, post title and other…

And then I have this problem.
I deleted the page they specified, but I do not think this is the problem.
They have already demonetized half of my site.

Could you guys shed some light on problems I’m facing.
I’m trying to setting up a store in newsmag using woocommerce. Been trying to edit shop page with visual composer but found no luck.
I want to make the interface somehow similar with demo http://demo.tagdiv.com/newsmag/shop/
The way I edited: from the dashboard, page, and edit the shop page with backend editor. Whatever I did to the page, didn’t change the page looks like in preview.
Did I do it wrong?

I was having the problem in “Live Preview.” I didn’t want to activate the Child Theme until I resolved the issue. Your information was very helpful though. I didn’t realize that all I had to do was check the box inside “menus” on the left side panel. That should have been obvious. This worked perfectly to get the footer menu, but since we had this chat, now I no longer have any black header menu at all. Checking the header boxes on the left-side panel doesn’t bring it back. Before it had a “customize” message. Now it’s gone. Any ideas? If not, it’s not a big deal.

On our page, collateralrepairproject.org, we are unable to get Revolution Slider to work.
For the time being we are using another slider plugin, until we manage to get this fixed.
Revolution sliders show perfectly during ‘preview’, but when we place them on a page we see no slider at all and the following error when we inspect the page:
Failure at Presize of Slider:ReferenceError: jQuery is not defined
I tried disabling various plugins to see if it makes a difference, without success.

The review description inherits the body font(by default is – http://screencast.com/t/OLpNdIjlu3 ). So if you change the body font from Theme Panel > Theme Fonts also the review description will inherit it – http://screencast.com/t/jKBolgq6m

Our theme does not have any such an option that allows you a way to wrap the text of post titles to a new line on smartphones, sorry! If you want to do this, you should edit the Visual Composer element and this task involve custom work and we cannot provide this type of services at the moment, sorry! You should preview our demo -> http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/ in mobile mode and to see the News Sticker behavior in this case. If you want to display more levels in our theme and if you are not aware of the steps which are needed to take in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you!

You can try to use a plugin if you don’t like the theme’s review (which by the way is present on our live demo and you should check it before – http://screencast.com/t/KJgHt0u6LMu3 ) but you may need custom modifications to implement it and work properly with the theme.
If you are unsatisfied by the theme, please ask for refund here – https://themeforest.net/refund_requests/new and we will agree with it. We don’t want to have unhappy customers!

HI, i’ll try to explain better, on the home page with Chinese language (not latin encoder), the preview of each post description shows the full post, it does not stops after few words like in italian or englesh language.
The only plugin i use is “wpml” translation plugin. I suppose it is an encoding issue.

If you use the theme share buttons they will appear bellow the reviews.

Din pacate, tema noastra nu a fost testa cu nici un plugin cu functionalitati petnru topuri si recomandari si de aceea nu pot sa iti dau un raspuns precis sau vreo recomandare in aceasta privinta, imi pare rau! Tema noastra are implementat optiunea de author review la site, facuta de insusi autorulu postului, caracteristica a temei care probabil te poate ajuta in proiectul tau. 1. Demo did not gave me any information. So I asked directly from team, who said to my questions about overall score = yes, and now I found out that no there is no way to use only 1 overall score! <- WHYYYYY???
Also they said that ohh yeah of course you can add pros&cons <- and again I found out NO, you can’t.
2. I am happy with you if you find that review plugin is awesome. It means you never used it for sites who deal with game reviews. So yes it may work with you but with everyone else no. Also if there is really some people who like existing review system, then it’s good, because you do not need to ruin experience for them. Just add some simple options. Like:
A. One form “OVERALL SCORE”, so people who do not want add features can use overall score area to display score on page.
B. Add Pros&Cons option. So people can add pros&cons list. + & – / Good & Bad. Again if you are happy with exisiting form, you can still ignore pros and cons option.
See? And everyone is happy then. 😉 Also if you say that you have been using same system over 2 years now, without change, then this is the time to change it to better way. 😉
3. I asked about CUBELL THEME REVIEW SYSTEM. It’s installed and have all information there, since our site has been up years. But newspaper theme does not read that info, does not show cubell theme review system on page.
4. And newspaper review theme is outside of post. Which means that social buttons, post bottom ad and everything comes before that review block. <- This is clearly bug and should be fixed.

how do i get my featured images to appear when sharing a page on social media? when i try to share a page on a social site like Facebook or Twitter, it just displays a blank space.

You can add any commercial review plugin you wish, if you don’t like the one included with the theme.
