You will have to use custom css if you remove the crop function, the modules were designed to work with thumbnails so the images are cropped to that specific size. You will need custom work to achieve that and I suggest to get someone to help you with this if you don’t know how to do it as we cannot provide custom work at this time, sorry!

Unfortunately Newspaper 6 doesn’t support rtl, you will need custom modifications to adjust it for rtl. We had to make this decision as we changed the theme’s grid and designing the theme to be able to also support rtl would cost us many resources, sorry!

I’m not sure also so I can’t provide you an accurate answer on this as I’m not aware of the steps you’ve followed or the actions you made updating it or also what modification you’ve done to the theme, so first I suggest you follow the guide below to update the theme and please also consider the the new version 6 of the theme is practically a new theme with a new grid, new design, new features, it was basically rewritten.

Any modification you’ve made to theme’s code would have to be done again and adjusted to its new code and you should also consider that the latest theme version doesn’t include rtl support and we haven’t tested it with any multilingual plugins so unfortunately in this case you would have to do the necessary changes yourself or get some to help you do it because we cannot offer any type of custom work at this moment. Sorry!

Updating the theme right shouldn’t cause you any issues so you can try to update the theme based on this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ backup your current install, run the import settings script, update plugins and check the result. You can always get back to the previous working theme version if something goes wrong as long as you backup it but doing the update as instructed the theme should work fine.
You should also consider into the process at the following aspects:

– backup your current theme/WordPress/database: https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups
– setup a maintenance mode and you can use a plugin for that.
– empty all caches/purge files if you also use CDN host then disable any services of this type until you switch to the new theme
– disable all plugins
– install the theme then install the required plugins
– switch back the rest of the plugins and start other services

Unfortunately theme doesn’t have an option for users to add reviews, you will need to find and use a plugin for this, but I cannot make any recommendations as I did not tested any plugin like that, sorry! Thanks for suggestion I have added this on our list and we will think about this, however we have over 250 features on our list we have to pick very carefully what we implement.

That is how the smartlist was designed you can alter that behavior if you don’t like it or you hire freelancer to do it for you if you don’t have coding experience as we cannot provide any type of custom work at this time.
