Hi,

The like button and social sharing buttons can only be displayed in post pages, as an option to share the whole post. You can’t add them anywhere else. If required try a sharing plugin for additional sharing options and more advanced settings.

It would have been useful if you could mention the website where the large button is present, so I can see how it is made. On the website you provided there is no such button.

However I tried something similar, like this
https://www.screencast.com/t/cu0SOvvY

.td-post-sharing-bottom .td-social-facebook,
.td-post-sharing-visible {
display: block;
}
.td-social-facebook .td-social-but-icon{
width: 50%;
text-align: right;
}
.td-social-facebook .td-social-but-text{
width: 50%;
text-align:left;
}
.td-social-facebook i,
.td-social-facebook {
font-size: 20px;
}

You could modify the code if needed, then enter it in Theme panel->Custom CSS code section.

Hello moulshi,

Sorry, the theme does not have any such an option that allows you to do this, sorry! I saw that you are using a smart list and you want that buttons to be displayed under the smart list pagination, right? So, this task can be made only through the code. You should edit the smart list core file and insert there your custom code which adds the sharing buttons. If you are not aware of the steps which are needed to take in this case, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide custom work at the moment, sorry! Usually, we recommend the developers from studio.envato.com.

Thanks for the message!

Hi,

That could be done with CSS code. If you could provide the website where that sharing button is located, I will see how it is made.

Hello AhoraRoma,

Try to use the code below and place it in Theme panel -> Custom CSS area.

.page-id-1169 .td-header-wrap, .page-id-1169 .td-footer-container, .page-id-1169 .td-sub-footer-container, .page-id-1169 .sd-sharing-enabled, .page-id-1168{
display:none;
}

The result is here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/RDAeHS6RqH The bottom section comes from such a plugin with this functionality like Jetpack or something like this and if you want to remove that section we recommend to disable that plugin and all of untested plugins.

Thanks for your understanding!

Hi there,

I have the same “missing sharing buttons” issue too. It occurs only in desktop mode.
Do you have any solution on this?

Thanks

Hi,

When I share a post pressing Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Viber and so on button, a new window opens.
When I send a post by email (e. g. Gmail) pressing email button, the corresponding email is created in the same window. In other words, the visitor actually leaves the site.

Is it bug or feature?
How to correct it?

Thanks.

Hi,

As a post sharing option Xing is not available at the moment, this social can only be displayed in the header and footer social links (social networks section in the theme panel)
https://www.screencast.com/t/HdpE0hMm5s
Maybe it will be added among the post sharing options in the future, I believe it is already added on our list.

Thanks

Hi,

I don’t believe that is possible. That data can be controlled with the Yoast SEO plugin for each post, but it cannot be removed as far as I know
https://www.screencast.com/t/5WTMVwu4t01
Maybe there are solutions online as to only display the article title when sharing, I did not find any however.

Thanks

Hi,

That would be the old sharing, it is not available anymore. There are 20 new styles to choose from in the theme panel
https://www.screencast.com/t/xN4eD5Cuewt
The socials were updated in theme update 8.6 I believe.

Thanks

Hi team,

1. i’d like to know how to have the first two sharing buttons to be larger than the others in single posts.
i have 4 sharing buttons + Whatsapp for mobile.
What I have now: just like the top sharing buttons on this demo post

Expectation: I would want to have it like top sharing on this post

The order i have is FB, Twitter, G+, Pinterest for desktop and Whatsapp, FB, Twitter, G+, Pinterst for mobile. I would like to have FB & Twitter on desktop, Whatsapp, FB on Mobile to be bigger than the rest.

2. Just curious if there is any option to have the share buttons float at the bottom in mobile and any option to show sharing button when hovering on images.

thanks.

I have checked one of your posts, indeed it seems you resolved the problem. Facebook now has access to and finds the meta tags in the page sorce
https://www.screencast.com/t/nYKk6XYKxlD
That would mean that the sharing will work as intended from now on. Glad you could solve the problem and also also provided an update here on the forum.

Hello Thephatvegan,

Please notice that by default, the Facebook Sharing works as expected, without any problems. So, if you will check our demo preview you will see good results. Do you have setup it via Seo Yoast? Clear all the caches and check the results. Also, you can try to make a new install to another sub-domain for testing only with the theme, without any untested plugins and check the results.

Thanks for your understanding!

Hi,

I tested one of your posts, and ran it through the Facebook debugger, that seems to have done the trick
https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/og/object/
This is the result – https://www.screencast.com/t/eYrfadyXI0
Seems all the meta tags are present so there should be no problems with the sharing.

Hello Surfaceru,

Unfortunately, does not exist another version for sharing buttons than the one present in the theme. This functionality has been fully checked and it seems to work as properly. If you want to implement other sharing buttons you should implement it yourself through the code because we cannot provide custom work at the moment, sorry!
Unfortunately, please notice that we do not recommend to edit the predefined style of the blocks because you can easily break them, sorry! If you want to do this, you should do it yourself or please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you.
Another alternative for you would be to use the Big Grid 4 and hide the below thumbnails, like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/FrkqpryFDf1s
Use the code below and place it in Theme panel -> Custom CSS area.

.td_block_big_grid_4 .td_module_mx10{
display:none;
}

Sorry but the Big Grid 2 does not have any such a load more button. I do not know what kind of changes do you have made on this but please notice that we cannot provide custom work at the moment, unfortunately!

Thanks.

When I share posts using Facebook social icon (by TD social plugin), previously the blog title along with featured image or the image specified in the share settings used to appear on the facebook post, but after I upgraded to 8.7, it shows nothing except this: http://prntscr.com/jdnscw This forces me to add the URL, heading and the image manually. Interestingly, when I share an old post, everything seems to work fine. In other words, I am have problem sharing new posts written AFTER the upgrade. Not sure if this is due to recent changes Facebook is making but looks like it’s something else. I am suspecting the issue is with the upgraded TD social plugin but your input will help understand it better. Thanks.

Hello. Updated theme Newsmag to the latest version, good update, thank you for your work. But I have questions:
1. I see that the share buttons on post take a very long time to load, sometimes they are not displayed. This may be due to the blocking of Google Font in Russia? How can this be avoided?
In another version I made new buttons to share directly to the file td_module_single.php, now need to make changes to the file td_social_sharing.php. How to do this? To reduce the load I think to use the share buttons from Yandex https://tech.yandex.ru/share/.
2. I like block 14 (td_module_mx1.php), but I want to have 2 large pictures to show (resolution 509×300 as in the top level of the block .td_block_big_grid_4 .td-big-grid-post-0). How can I do that? I created my own Grid Builder, but this plugin doesn’t work well with categories and comments.

Hello nytix,

I guess that you are referring to the Ajax Filter menu which can be disabled from here
-> https://www.screencast.com/t/d62i9Zsk1h8s The social media icons can be managed from Theme panel from here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/nmX26ZGn and also, the social sharing buttons can be handled from here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/AOt0S4e3Dh

Thanks for your understanding!

Hello there!

I’m still using WPBakery Page Builder because I’ve not time to make all my pages again on the tagDiv Composer.

The thing is that the image style is not working and not linking properly. The settings are correct but is not working.

Settings: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1y0eZQZ1UCliyFi9RsZasqwUa6VrjU2lO/view?usp=sharing
How it’s looks: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1hd6XqNH_Z6fTRT3-3T5_BVGuB8kU09U3/view?usp=sharing (they were circle, and smaller with thumbail).

please, help me! It happens on all my pages (not entrance).

Thanks,
Flor

Hi,

For me the socials appeared on every post I tried (I tested with Chrome)
https://www.screencast.com/t/S7eTFj0wo
https://www.screencast.com/t/9GSqH3OorNEi
If there are issues sometimes, these are usually caused by plugin conflicts or maybe code modifications or code loaded in the theme files or theme panel.
The conflicts could cause the socials to be invisible despite being loaded in their location. Enter this code in the theme panel custom CSS code section

.td-post-sharing {
opacity: 1!important;
}

This could fix the socials if the issue keeps happening.

Thanks

Hello,

You can try this method to add a new sharing option:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/how-to-add-xing-as-a-social-network/
But there is no simple way top add it to the social counter though.

Thanks.
