I’m trying to create the same About the Author/Me as in Baby Blog demo (picture with a circle), or travel blog demo. Is there a tutorial where I can learn how to do this, and add a picture, with text underneath? Also, I would like to have the same social media icons underneath.

If you want to have just part of the sidebar scroll, that can only be realized on pages. If you have a smart sidebar enabled, you will not be able to determine parts of it to make it scrollable on posts or category pages. I have remove all plugins, and than reinstall the theme, finally i found that WPBakery Visual Composer plugins to make My sidebar Theme not to be smart.
Our WPBakery Visual Composer plugins problem, i see the plugins need to update. i have many times install and reinstall, but same result.
As You Know, I have install the Newspaper theme V 7.5. and plugins that come bundled with the theme.

I have inspected your website and I saw that you have many errors in your console, as you can see here -> http://screencast.com/t/z8ZyxllV Please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme packet and rule out any conflicting plugins. If the problem is still there, please make a new clean install from scratch and install the theme via FTP method because this is the surest way in this regard. Well if your sidebars do not work when you activate the smart sidebar it means that something is wrong and needs troubleshooting. Unfortunately without removing the plugins there is no way to troubleshoot anything. Sorry.
We only recommend these plugins: http://screencast.com/t/9fgiQW3V94rx and sometimes even these ones can provide errors. Plugins get updated, wordpress gets updated, the theme gets updated, sometimes the code does not match between them. If your plugin updates are set to automatic or you just update them all manually, you could experience issues without disabling or adding new plugins at all. Sometimes updates make the plugins not work anymore. Plugins can conflict between them as well, not just with the theme. Plugins are very unstable and we do not recommend using a whole bunch of them together.

I do have a lot of plugins – they are necessary for WP to work as a CMS and support a real website. But I guess I’ll live w/o the sticky sidebar. It’s a fact it was there from the day I installed this theme, without the smart bar and there’s been little change in my plugin configuration since. But it’s not worth a half day’s work to troubleshoot.

Our theme does not allow any sticky sidebar if that option is off. Your sidebars could not have been sticky at all without that option unless they came from a third party solution. Please read this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/smart-sidebar-2/
Without that option on, our theme will not show any sticky sidebar
If your sidebar is not sticky with that option on, then you have an error on your site that needs fixing. It is most likely a plugin conflict as it;s the number one reason for such issues. It could be other things such as customization, a faulty child theme, a js optimization…it could be a number of things. Please provide a link to your site so we can inspect it. If you do not want to post it here on the forum you can provide it via email at contact@tagdiv.com
I suspect it’s a plugin though as you seem to be using quite a lot of them on your site.

I definitely had a sticky sidebar without any plugins. I’ve turned on the smart side bar but it’s still not sticky.

If you never used the smart sidebar, it means you never had a sticky sidebar. The only way the theme sidebars can be sticky is if that option is on. Unless you used a plugin …

Hi,
Smart lists will igonre inline ads as smart lists have a different implementation than normal posts. Smartlists have their own ads.
Here is an example from a different topic regarding smart list 6:
Smart lists have a specific ad spot in the theme panel but the smart list 6 ad will not position below the pagination. If you want it to show below the pagination, you will have to edit the theme files to do it as there is no option in the theme for it. You can use this code :

And place it like so: http://screencast.com/t/zvRezg4R8rva Then your ad from ‘custom ad 1’ spot will show below the pagination. Unfortunately this will not be a 970 width ad if you use a sidebar because if you do, the main content area is only 696 pixels wide. There can be a large 970 px banner only if you remove the sidebar.
You can adapt the method from smart list 6 to your smart list 1 in this file:

The sticky sidebar does work on infinite scroll if you implement it correctly. Here is an example: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/homepage-infinite-scroll/ Even without the load more button, the sticky sidebar will work as expected. Please use this guide to implement it on pages: https://forum.tagdiv.com/smart-sidebar-2/
The smart sidebar will also not work if you have a plugin conflict affecting the theme js. Please also try to disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files.

Please provide your website URL so I can inspect it closer. Do you are using the page builder+latest articles+pagination as page template? 1)The Editor Pick is a simple block style 7 which is set it by Featured category. You will not bring any results because you do not have any posts in your Featured category. If you want to change the structure of this block, please notice that you have to edit the core file from here -> http://screencast.com/t/nbhSshOO
2)The mobile theme is just a simple plugin. If you want to disable this, you can do this from Plugins area.

How do I get my sidebar on my site to stay fixed? When I go to “widgets” and click on the widgets that are under “Newspaper Default”, I can’t make the widgets fixed even when I clicked “fixed”. Smart siderbar is enabled and doesn’t seem to be working either. http://www.exposingthenewage.com/

Like the STAFF said you, try to disable third plugins or modifications.
You have two 404 not found errors from child theme:
1. …/wp-content/themes/Newspaper-child/images/icons/newspaper.woff?8
2. …/wp-content/themes/Newspaper-child/images/icons/newspaper.ttf?8
And the third one regarding scroll up/down,
It can be from everywhere, try do disable the “Tickbox” pop-up because is not working (almost on my Chrome & Firefox).
Why is added on wp-includes???

-I don’t know how to disable the LATESTS ARTICLES, on the bottom of page.
and
-I would like have one block for one category, its not a trouble for that but, i would like have my sub-category on the list, already i have all category on the list to the right of title of block. You know what I try to say ? I hope…
