If You use [end] key to go to the bottom of the page and [home] key to go again at the top the smartbar stay at bottom. Same problem on your demo site 😉

yes I mean smart sidebar, I add also the clasname “td-ss-row” in the “dynamic sidebar” widget of visual composer but it don’t work.

I have activated my Smart Sidebar and input all the social networks. However, sometimes I notice that my default sidebar shows up on some of my articles and the Twitter and Facebook “numbers” are at 0. I can’t figure out where to go to input the correct info so that the correct number of fans will show. I appreciate any help anyone can give me. 🙂

Please make sure that you disable html/css/js minify option because usually the automatic compression of these resources could cause issues like the one you describe above.
We don’t recommend using an autominify tool as this could generate js conflicts and break features that use js to function, like in your case smart sidebar did.

Hi guys,
I am having a problem (not sure when it first started, only noticed it today while fiddling with widgets) where the smart sidebar does not work on Google Chrome – works fine on Safari and Firefox.
Traced the issue down to my CDN (maxCDN). When I switch that off, my smart sidebar sticks correctly. Do you have any suggestions on how I can resolve this?

As long as it is not just ads only scrolling. This means you have to have other content or widgets besides ads. So lets say one ad and at least 2+ widgets on the sidebar. They don’t like just ads only scrolling and it is considered floating ads, which is against their policy.
Not any issues with not scrolling or not smart sidebar but without other widgets it looks like big white space when going down the page.

Yes, it is possible. To achieve an sticky sidebar you have to put in Visual Composer (row settings),
in Extra class name, this extra class -> td-ss-row .

I have enable “Smart sidebar”, I have 2 sidebar and I only want one side bar to be sticky while scroll and another stays at top.
Example:
1st sidebar at top (It will stays on top while scroll)
2nd sidebar after 1st sidebar this will be fixed/sticky while page scroll
Can someone tell me how I can only allow specific side bar to fixed or stays at top.

Unfortunately it is not our call to determine if websites that use our theme break the adsense rules or not.
The only known problem we had with adsense is debatable and is regarding the smart sidebar: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/smart-bar-against-adsense-tos/
Our theme was built to work with adsense and it respects the adsense TOS.
So, unfortunately we have no answer to provide you with. The best thing you can do is contact adsense so they can provide more details to the problem and maybe a solution.

I have 2 sites which i am making fairly identical
The sidebar has ads – some are 160 and some are 300 width
one site if i place the code for 160 ad it shows as 160 fine
the same code on the other site shows it at 324 – full width of sidebar
both sites are 6.5.1
when i use the inspect element the wrong site has this

1) Please send an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide your envato key and the username you used to buy the theme.
2) The tabs were modified so the default color (grey) would keep the style of the theme. any other color except grey will use the visual composer styling. If you want the look of the grey style but with different colors, you can use css to change them:

4)The hover color for the news ticker is affected by the color set in the theme panel: http://screencast.com/t/jkS3x0wJKTB . You can either change it from the theme panel or use custom css to keep your style and only affect the news ticker.

Perhaps you need to read the TOS in future; I sure did. I’ve been part of the Adsense program since in beta. SO I do know more about it than you.
If you were blocked/booted it was likely for some other reason as they would have given you warning before actually booting you for non-compliance, based on my own experience on behalf of clients.
So, again – for those who think the newbies on here know what they are talking about – they don’t.
If you use the smart bar properly, to not focus on just ads, and your ad is only part of the content then it’s fine.
Read the TOS again — it relates to “bringing unnatural attention to an ad” — which is not done if the whole sidebar is sticky, and the ad is not the dominant element.

I am using Adsterra on my website, which will let me use smart sidebar with their ads with no problems. I was surprised I was even accepted through them because their requirements are 300,000 pageviews a month and I am not even close to that.
Sorry, Chris but I have to disagree here about the ads on the smart sidebar. I even had been banned from them from doing it. I been banned and resigned up using different emails and still its the most pickiest monetizing network in the world. You can get banned for unknown reasons too. Been there done that.
That is why you read the TOS. Its there for people to read. If people don’t know that yet and it is all over Google search about Adsense and floating ads. They will ban you for it. Funny that people are just realizing that its been in the TOS. As far as I have even heard about Adsense. I knew that moving ads with scrolling was against their TOS. Adsense it the only network I have known to be against it.
Yes, I did do it even knowing that it was not right. So I tried to get away with it. I bet a lot have too.

Great fan of your work 🙂 I have bought both Newsmag and Newspaper themes to use on my websites. But few things/options which I really miss and am sure many publishers like me want them as well. So, here is a small list of features suggestion, which you guys can bring in future version of themes…
1. Many publishers like me have smartphone apps of their publication/website. So, please introduce a widget kind of thing for sidebar just like social counter widget which displays the logos of Apple App Store, Google Play Store, and Windows App Store.. through which we can notify and redirect our readers to respective app stores to download our mobile apps.
2. Please introduce auto load of previous or same category post on single post page. You can check Flex Mag theme to know what am talking about. They have given an option of auto loading posts below the single post using ajaxing, i guess. The auto load of posts increases the page views per visitor, brings down the bounce rate, increase average time spent on site.. and good in various ways. You can also check Digit.in website to check the auto loading of posts. Please introduce this option and we publishers will be very thankful to you guys.
3. Auto YouTube playlist fetching or Latest videos fetching from a specific YouTube Channel. Many publishers like me also have YouTube channel, which they updates on regular basis. So, if you can introduce a widget and Block/Module to display YouTube playlist or Channel’s latest videos list automatically just by adding the playlist ID or Channel ID… it will be awesome! In current block, we have to manually enter the IDs of videos which we want to display which is very painful thing to do again and again.
4. Please introduce native functionality of adding contact forms, no more depending on 3rd party plugins.
5. Introduce Quora profile option in Social Counter Plugin.
That’s it for now. I hope to get a positive reply on introduction of these features soon in the themes. 🙂

I uninstall 3 last plugins installed, empty the cache but it change nothing.
To prevent the widget to go on the middle of the page, I deactivate the SMART SIDEBAR

Today I have updated my theme to 2.2, but shortly after that I realized that there is a problem with smart sidebars. The problem was that smart sidebars are going up more that they should. And first widget in sidebar was always hidden.
Then I have replaced tagdiv_theme.js with old js file from 2.1 and everything was working normal. Finally, I have found what is causing the problem and decided to share it with you, so you can fix it. If you want of course.
If you check row 5002 in tagdiv_theme.js, you will see this: td_affix_menu_computed_height = td_affix.main_menu_height + td_affix.menu_offset;
If you remove + td_affix.menu_offset and row 5002 become td_affix_menu_computed_height = td_affix.main_menu_height; then this problem is gone.

Me gustaría aprovechar para preguntar una cosilla.
En la Smart Sidebar (tanto de página de inicio como la de los post y categorías), la que aparece con el infinite loop me apareceren las secciones como “Hot News” y “Most Recent” y no se donde ir a traducir eso.
Tengo en el theme panel todo traducido en translation y en la página de inicio e traducido todos los blocks que están en ella.
¿Como podría traducirlos? Espero haberme explicado bien. Gracias por la ayuda!!

The option you refer to is the smart sidebar option that comes with our theme: https://forum.tagdiv.com/smart-sidebar-2/. The Adsense TOS position is debatable and you can read more opinions here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/smart-bar-against-adsense-tos/.
It is not up to us if an ad in a smart sidebar is or is not allowed by Adsense. Use this option at your own risk or you can contact Adsense and ask them about it.

You are most welcome Charlie. It seems that you are using smart sidebar in your site. According to Google Adsense policy you are not allowed to use Sticky ads. Consider that in mind and use the ad in the sidebar.
