SOLVED.
The problem was with Nginx version with HTTP2 and ssl combination. We changed too Apache with no support for Nginx and now all works well. 🙂

Edit: I just tested Slider Revolution (using the .zip file provided by you) on a different theme and it works flawlessly with WooCommerce enabled.

We added SSL to our website, we think this can be a problem.

You can load any ad format into AMP as long as mobile friendly. We do it all the time …. simple function filter hooked into footer for AMP, you can load any shortcode in place.

In any case, again – not trying to contradict you in any way. I was just posting a different “vote” on the subject, as I personally would prefer we not get more code bloat.

Why not use Newspaper if you need the mobile theme ?

Not huge fan of AMP, personally, but we’re learning to live with it since we do want AMP stuff ‘featured’ in mobile, much like we are in midst of converting all our sites not already done, to https. Since Google will shamelessly pump up mobile + https + amp content over sites not using that.

Don’t really fully understand your post, but whatever. I don’t use the plugin, but some here do. The comment I posted was from the article source, not my voice/opinion.

I have no dog in the hunt; and just sharing the info, since I stay on top of this stuff along with the latest openSSL vulnerabilities, etc. as we are a PCI-DSS certified system here. Most people here don’t stay on top of security hence so many “hacked” sites this year from TD theme users (unrelated to theme, of course).

Anybody using the plugin should look into the issues, if they care. 🙂

People get their sites hacked by not staying on top of this stuff; so shared in that spirit.

I don’t know of any free version of the plugin I use from Themeforest which is $9.

Basically – use the visibility tab top right of your post edit page; toggle visibility of the ‘featured image’ box; unless you have a featured image for your post, no thumb will be created in blocks. Period. Full stop.

So, you need to use some type of plugin to generate a local image then set it as ‘featured’ in the WP media folder (WordPress itself has no function to make thumbs from external site images). Auto Post Thumbnail PRO, can create image from “first image in post” even if external; then that is set as featured image, then thumbs built from that now local featured image.

We do this on our news network where main site creates news, hosts image, then some of our satellite news portals for local news grab the national story and load the image from main site in post, then the plugn makes the local featured copy so that thumbs can be added to the national news page/index.

In any case, not a theme issue — as you know — since you’re doing something custom/unique unrelated to theme.

You can spend the $9 for legal copy and try it; I’ve been using it for 3 years flawlessly. I rely on it every day for hundreds of images. So, it solved the issue for me. Also solved issue when we moved to Newspaper in 2013 (rev1.0) and our old content on some sites from say 2005-2013 had no featured image, but had image in post. Solved that, too.

I have no interest or relationship to the plugin; but rocks for me 🙂

Just to be clear, this is the one I use on ALL our sites: Best $9 I ever spent on anything. I would have sent him more money if it was donation ware! 🙂

Note that Facebook sets a redirect for all links from FB to a website as well as tracking cookie; if your site does not properly allow redirects or has “too many redirects” then some devices will fail, especially mobile.

If somebody can access your website from any other link except Facebook, then it’s fairly clear the issue is how the site is setup to accept inbound traffic from Facebook.

If your site has popups, popunders, conflicting Facebook data on page, etc. these can also impact FB links on landing.

I don’t work here, just some feedback.

Also note if your site is https and SSL3, TLS1 and 1.1 are deprecated (which are insecure), some older web browsers cannot connect at all over https and will not load page. For example with http/2 and https, old web browsers cannot connect to an https page properly in many cases.

Hi Catalin,

I managed to update the path in the CSS that was causing that error. Now, however I’m still left with a broken padlock. Something inside the theme is breaking the padlock as illustrated by the section “Secure Calls made to other websites”:

demo.tagdiv.com returns some sort of error) when visitors go to my webpage. My SSL is installed correctly and HTTPS is configured so I know it has nothing to do with either of those two. Do you know why I would see the padlock on the admin dashboard (i.e. logged in) but not when i’m browsing as a visitor (not logged in)?

I would really like to resolve this. I have a store on the site and consumer confidence is important to me.

I am re-optimizing my network sites since upgrading from v2 v3, and needing to revisit all the past steps from past 3 years with new TadDiv tech, code, etc.

This project presumes I will do several advanced things
1) run mod_pagespeed on deploy; currently disabled for all other efforts; with proper webp format support added as mime type and in htaccess (MPS converts some png files to base64 inline, and others to .webp format when better than jpeg)
2) compress main css and js files not already compressed after ‘thinning’
3) decomment some TD files loaded by pages which are (ahem) overly commented
4) have proper gzip/deflate/TTL elements on server
5) no caching used for initial deploy (MPS uses opcache/memcache)
6) move CSS to footer and use critical CSS generator for inline above the fold CSS
7) test free SSL cert and http/2 on our new server for 2017
8) test move to PHP7 from PHP5

Follow along if the mood strikes; I’m just sharing my info not offering to consult with you (you cannot afford me, in most cases). Please do not post any questions until I post the info during last half of August 2016, as you can “try” any of my changes if you wish, at your own risk.

I am using Unix/Linux, CentOS, Plesk 12.5x (will likely move to ONYX when releases for 2017); Apache with NGINX in front; dedicated server, 1GB connection to network in Class A datacenter in Texas, USA. Running PHP 5x with PHP7 installed and will test ‘7’ once initial deploy stable with my ‘thinning’ and optimization.
