Hello,
Please first of all make sure you increase your system status parameters like so: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
If you get all of the settings in the green zone: https://www.screencast.com/t/t6Zr0efJGD2g and the issue is still present, please disable all plugins except the page builder, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
If you have a firewall, set it to learning mode.
Thank you!

Hello Olive,
Yes, the screenshot is wrong. Here is the right one -> https://www.screencast.com/t/j8FOakZvVYO and there you can see that you have some issues with it. Please try to disable all of the untested plugins and use only the plugins that come bundled with the theme core files and rule out any conflicting plugins. Also, check the system status parameters to be according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/ Most likely, your PHP memory has exhausted and that’s why you cannot save anything.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello mubodhi,
First of all, please check your system status parameters to be according to our useful guide here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/ YOur PHP memory can be exhausted and that’s why you cannot save anything.
Thanks for the message!
a) check the system status in the theme panel
b) check php settings in your hosting panel
c) increase RAM allocated to WP in wp-config.php and php settings in hosting panel
d) consider optimizing site for https via proper server side redirect for http > https queries, add https admin required in wp-config.php vs using plugin for https
e) try disabling plugins that load CSS/js onto admin panels and pages/posts, even if not actually used on those pages (e.g., Contact Form 7 doesn’t need css/js on pages without the form actually being used)
f) test one of your post pages with GTmetrix.com to see if you need to optimize server settings for gzip/deflate, expiration headers
For images
A) better to optimize in Photoshop prior to upload to site (e.g., 40kb image vs 124kb image — slows down system if server has to do that for you)
B) better to set the WP default compression level to 50 in functions.php than use plugin to do that, this will make thumbs uploaded more optimized
Hello,
Please first of all test without any plugins active. Disable all of theme and clear all caching.
Then make sure you increase the memory allocation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
If the problem is still there, please check your file permissions and ask your host about any blocked content. Check the htaccess for blocked content as well.
I hope this helps.
Thanks.

Hi,
If settings in the theme panel cannot change, please check your firewall and disable it temporarily.
Also make sure you use this guide to increase the memory allocation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Also please contact your host and ask for any blocked files on your install and check file permissions
Thanks.
Hello,
If the sections in your theme panel are not working properly, you should increase your memory allocation like so: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Also please disable all plugins except the page builder, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. Hello,
When I attempt to use the Tagdiv Composer, I just see white space on the right of the screen. After contacting my host with System Status guides that I have found in the forum, they suggested that I reach out to Tagdiv. Please help me to resolve this issue.
Thank you
Hi,
Please provide more details about the issue, what exactly is happening with the widgets. Maybe the theme did not install properly. You could try a fresh theme install
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
Use only theme provided plugins, and no custom code. Check the theme system status as well
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Please also check with your hosting provider if the mbstring extension for PHP is installed on the server (this can cause blank widget page)
Thanks
Hi jmisenti,
First of all, please check your system status parameters to be according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/ Clear all the caches and check after the results. For a right way of demo importing data, please consult our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/installing-demos/
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello!
Now, thanks to Namecheap, all lights in the system status are green and the max_input_vars is 5000. However the theme is not saving and when I press on save it actually says that it is saved but there is no move on the top of the window; I mean it does not turn around like normally whenever you change page or save anything.
Please solve this issue. You still have my login and pw for WP.
Regards,
Nerissa
Hi,
1. For a more accurate solution it would be helpful if you could provide a link to your website.
2. Please follow this topic to remove the More from author
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/related-articles-remove-or-hide-more-from-author-newspaper-theme/
There is no dedicated theme option for this, at the moment.
3. Please follow this guide for more information
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
The modification can be changed either in the htaccess file or the php.ini file. You could ask your hosting to make these for you, as they might have a recommended method in this regard.
Thanks
Hi,
If the theme system status parameters are set properly, and you have tried while having only theme plugins active, there should not be any problem.
Please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login information so we can take a look.
Also paste a link to this topic in your email.
Thanks
Hi jmisenti,
Please ensure that your demo has been installed according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/installing-demos/ and then, check your system status parameters to be increased according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Thanks for your understanding!
Okay thanks!
Just a few more questions …
1. I’m using style 7 for the Header and I would like to reduce the white space above my logo and menu. Can I do that?
2. I would also like to get rid of ‘More from Author’ next to ‘Related Articles’ at the bottom of my post pages. Can I do that?
3. I would like to change the max_execution_time and WP Memory Limit to reflect the recommendations of the Newspaper theme under System Status but I don’t understand where to go to change those things.
Thanks!
Hi,
It could be related to these parameters
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Please check the theme system status and make the modifications if required.
I also found some topics that might be useful in case of these errors

Thanks
Hello,
All other parameters are correct. I do not understand that in the file php.ini I have this:
; Maximum allowed size for uploaded files.
upload_max_filesize = 64M
max_input_vars = 5000
but the system status keeps on showing me 1000 instead of 5000
For all other parameters I have the correct numbers after changing.
As a matter of fact, I already talked many times with the hosting provider and they made all sorts of checks, even with deactivate all plugins, like I did now but still do not save. The php version I am using is 7.0. I did not add any custom code or at least I do not remember (can you make an example to me of a custom code I might have written?).
You ask me to switch to the main theme from a child. I am currently using lifestyle theme. Is that a child theme? And in case I do it, will I lose all my job? Or is there anything to switch safely? Sorry for my doubt. I am just a passionate beginner and so I am not so professional.
Is there a way you could check it fast for me and find the solution. The theme panel just stop saving after I change something in the home page… I took out a grid that also had a witing “You should put some html…” or something like that.
Regards,
Nerissa
Hi Catalin, thanks for getting back to me.
I’m using version 8.1 of the Newspaper theme and only bought/downloaded it a few days ago.
The parameters in system status appear to match those in the link you sent.
I’ve tried disabling all plugins except for Tagdiv composer and the results didn’t change.
Any other suggestions?
Hello lukehodge,
First of all, make sure that you are using the latest theme version and then, check the system status parameters to be according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/ If you are using some untested plugins, you should disable all of them, leave just only the plugins that come bundled with the theme core files and check the results.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
Please check the theme system status and make modifications to the parameters mentioned in this guide, if necessary
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
You could ask your hosting to make them for you if needed. Then see if the issue is solved. Also check the PHP version, the theme is tested with PHP versions up to version 7.1 anything higher could cause issues.
If there is still a problem please try to deactivate all plugins except theme plugins, and clear any installed cache. Then check again.
Thanks
Hi,
If you have the Yoast SEO plugin installed, please check this setting and disable it
– https://www.screencast.com/t/n8Cc35EofLh
This has been identified to cause the error in combination with the tagDiv composer. If this is the case disable the option and check to see if the error is still present. Also do not edit pages created in Visual composer, with the tagDiv composer.
You could take a look in the theme system status and check if these WordPress and server parameters are set according to the documentation
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
You could ask your hosting to make these for you if needed.
Please let us know after trying these suggestions if you still have problems using the page editor.
Thanks
