Maybe you have updates set to automatic and a plugin got updated and the new version is not compatible anymore with the theme. Please test this without plugins. Disable all plugins except the page builder, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.

I am for the third time reporting a problem that has been occurring with the newsmag theme, and no return. If this does not happen this time I request a refund.
When activating the theme, it deactivates the features of a particular plugin that uses wp-cron, leaving it constantly updated.
I made a test, and I bought another theme and the plugin worked perfectly, which confirms that there is a configuration problem or incompatibility in the theme newsmag that for the operation of this plugin, when using cron.
I would kindly ask for a feedback as soon as possible, because from what I found the problem lies in this update of the theme, not the third-party plugin, should you come to question.

Our server continues to crash after the lastest update. Our techs told us that the theme is the issue. Below is their response.
According to the logs and server tests, the culprit is your theme. It is loading more than 2200 autoload elements on your database, coming from the theme, and you still have an error on the wp-booster, included to the theme:

About 1.5 years ago I contracted a developer to work on a new website for me – https://rotadocanguru.com.br. I paid him to purchase the newspaper theme version 7 (from tagdiv) and work on some customization for me.
It has all been working fine since then. However, I would like now to upgrade my theme to version 8.6 and I can’t do that as my theme was linked to his account and not mine. See the details here: http://take.ms/k7F7mD

Disable Visual Composer … just use the new TD Composer if you only use ‘pages’ on your site; and you will need to modify to work with the new plugin in some cases.
Or, continue to use VC and disable TDC.
Usually good to do one update at a time — meaning, update WP, and when site is stable THEN do the theme upgrade.
So, in theory, you could roll back theme and keep the WP update which is a security update.
I don’t know if it’s the new WP update or a malfunction with Jetpack itself, but the 7-day sorting seems broken on each of my pages for https://onesource.cloud. Any ideas?

If you customized the socials in the child theme, then you might need to modify and adapt the customization. The socials have changed since the latest update, there were changes to the classes used as well.
Depending on what you want to do with them you will have to make modifications in the child theme customization. Use the inspector to identify what has changed regarding the socials

Note that there are many styles available for the socials in the theme panel, you might not need modifications

We have tested the theme with this amp plugin only

It works with that plugin, we plan however to implement amp support by default within the mobile theme plugin provided in the theme package. This may happen as soon as the next update, I could not say for sure.

Please also make sure you update the plugins as well. Delete the current theme plugins you have installed and install them again from the latest theme package.
Also in the current version, please make sure your theme name is Newspaper. The current theme version does not support a theme name change.

Hi,
WordPress changed the implementation of the post content images and captions, this conflicted with a theme condition. We fixed the issue after the 4.9 WordPress version, in a theme update (I believe 8.2).
Since you are using an older version of the theme the issue is not fixed. A solution would be to manually make a small modification in the theme stylesheet here
