The mobile theme is intended to provide a lighter version of the website on mobile. This plugin is optional, you can choose not to use it. It can either be active or inactive.
Please note that in the latest update an option to hide elements or rows has been added. So for example, if you have a page that you consider to be heavy for mobile, you could hide the rows/ elements you want on mobile

Try to clear all the caches, make sure that your theme’s updating was made via FTP way because this is the surest method in this case. The new theme update should not influence your ads, sorry!

Please only use 1 page builder, not 2. Choose either tagdiv composer or visual composer. Both at the same time will not work. Also, the Mega Addons For Visual Composer were never tested so even if they still work in this update, we cannot guarantee they will still work in future updates as they are not constantly tested and the code adapted for these elements.

@Daria The mobile theme will not work if the mobile theme plugin is not active. If it is active a different and simpler version of the website will be displayed. You can find out more about how the mobile theme plugin works here

The widgets in the existing sidebars will be moved to inactive, I believe that is happening because of WordPress. You might need to reinsert them in the sidebars, as they will be in the inactive section below the widgets area.

Hi,

After the latest update the header search can now be moved depending on preference. Either have it in the main menu or in the top menu. Nothing else has changed regarding the functionality of the search. It could be remove with some custom CSS code if that is what you want to do. A specific option to remove it is not available.

The latest version of Newsmag is 4.2. Before each theme’s update, it’s recommended to be made a full backup to your database to avoid losing your data. If you have edited the dummy content and if you want in the future to change your demo, notice that all of the data will be lost.

That would depend on the customization or modifications made through the child theme. Elements from the theme can change after updates, so the code you use might need to be adapted to work with the updated theme.
Try going over the modifications in the child theme, identify what is not working anymore and modify it if needed.

Sorry for the inconveniences you are facing using the theme and theme plugins. It is not our intention to cause such issues. The tagDiv composer is in continuous development, it’s functionality and features may change in the future. Currently this composer will be activated automatically the moment the theme is updated or installed. So if Visual composer is preferred and used instead, it will have to be deactivated in these cases.
The transition basically means that pages have to be recreated with the tagDiv composer. There is a level of compatibility between the two composers, elements like blocks and grids share the same shortcodes.
