Same issue here. Fortunately I was able to move successfully to the tagDiv Composer to update the theme but now I cannot update using the TD Composer 🙁
Hello, I’m having the exact same problem and to make sure it’s not caused by other plugins or custom code I created a fresh WordPress installation on https://update.rahetbally.com/ and installed ONLY Newsmag & the attached version of Visual Composer (I even deleted Jetpack and other default plugins) and yet it doesn’t work.
The page at https://update.rahetbally.com/test/ is supposed to have two columns “Desktop”: should be visible on lg,md,sm and “Mobile”: should be visible on “xs” only. But you can see clearly that none of the classes (vc_hidden-lg vc_hidden-md vc_hidden-sm vc_hidden-xs) are added to the columns.
Here’s the backend code for /test:
[vc_row][vc_column width="1/3"][/vc_column][vc_column width="1/3" offset="vc_hidden-xs"][vc_custom_heading text="Desktop"][/vc_column][vc_column width="1/3"][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width="1/3"][/vc_column][vc_column width="1/3" offset="vc_hidden-lg vc_hidden-md vc_hidden-sm"][vc_custom_heading text="Mobile"][/vc_column][vc_column width="1/3"][/vc_column][/vc_row]
You can see that the ‘vc_hidden’ classes are ignored in the generated HTML:
<div class=”vc_row td_uid_2_59889dbb6feb4_rand wpb_row td-pb-row”><div class=”vc_column td_uid_3_59889dbb6ffe4_rand wpb_column vc_column_container td-pb-span4″><div class=”wpb_wrapper”></div></div><div class=”vc_column td_uid_4_59889dbb7009e_rand wpb_column vc_column_container td-pb-span4″><div class=”wpb_wrapper”><h2 style=”text-align: left;font-family:Abril Fatface;font-weight:400;font-style:normal” class=”vc_custom_heading”>Desktop</h2></div></div><div class=”vc_column td_uid_5_59889dbb705e4_rand wpb_column vc_column_container td-pb-span4″><div class=”wpb_wrapper”></div></div></div>
Thank you,
Hello Somion this is clear to me, but don´t want to edit the them files. Will this bug be removed with the next update or are you pushing and supporting in future only the tagDiv Composer? Your theme should also work clearly with the Visual Builder. Don´t Want to recreate 1.000 Post with the tagDIV Composer.
Hi Guys when I try to upload the Theme via WordPress this is the result:
“REQUEST ENTITY TOO LARGE”
the requested resource /wp-admin/update.php does not allow request data with post request, or the amount of data provided in the request exceeds the capacity limit
Thanks!
I tried replicating the problem but couldn’t.
It’s related to the same page I posted about here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/do-we-need-to-update-td-composer-upon-updating-theme/
Had originally gotten a blank page for that page and the only other one I’ve used TD Composer for. Then I posted that question…then later got this error message.
But as I mentioned, I haven’t had a problem again.
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Is there a way to modify that so it won’t be overwritten with theme updates?
I finally updated to v.8.0 after months and months.
How I can reproduce 4.0 footer? I mean with light colors and three columns.
Thank’s a lot!
Hi,
This isn’t a problem for me but I found little something so I want you to know it for next update.
First, please check the picture below.
https://yahoo.jp/box/NO037U
If you look at this part on your demo page very closely, you can see that the left edge of the first letter (of the post title) disappears when the post title moves from right to left.
Can you see it?
It is very tiny (maybe 1px?) so I guess many people has not realized it.
If you have time, please check.
Hi,
Sorry again for this inconvenience. This will be fixed as soon as possible, and you will not have to make this modification after future updates.
Thank you!
Hi,
Updating the theme will not remove your theme panel settings, or custom code from the theme panel. You can always make backups to the theme panel settings like this
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/import-export-theme-settings/
This is a guide to help you with the update, the FTP method is usually recommended
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
You can also make full backups, it is safer this way just in case something goes wrong.
Thanks

Hi,
If you used Visual composer to create your website, then deactivate the tagDiv composer and everything should work fine. Maybe something went wrong during the update process. Please try and reinstall the theme by FTP
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
Than temporarily deactivate all your plugins except Visual composer and theme plugins, and clear any caching installed. If the error is still present, it would be helpful if you could provide some screenshots so we can see.
Thanks
Hi,
Unfortunately this is a problem in the latest update. Please use the fix mentioned here:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/problem-after-update-3/#post-187032
Thank you!
Sorry but unfortunately this is the case with premium themes. It cannot be compatible withe every plugin out there. For the ones on the list mentioned by Edward above, we maintain compatibility in each theme update. That means we test the plugins in the new version and fix the compatibility problems if any are found. That is why we can keep the plugins as tested and recommended. As you can imagine, we cannot do this for every plugin.
Thank you for your understanding!
Hello,
Please download the theme again as there was a faulty theme package uploaded. The correct one is now in place. Please download the theme again from envato and update your theme again.
Thank you for your understanding.
My website All Ports Blocked after update newspaper theme its shows error in function.php file whats that because your theme my all websites are down
Hi,
The tagDiv composer will automatically be installed and activated when the theme is updated, or installed for the first time

Thanks
After I’ve updated Newsmag to version 4.0 and visual Composer to 5.2, I found that Responsive options in Visual Composer (from the pencil above each column) is not working anymore. I tried to make some column to hide on mobile device and show only PC but the result is it shows on every device regardless the size of the screen. Please check if this is a bug. If it’s not a bug, please let me know how to fix this problem or what cause this problem.
Thank you.
Hi Simon,
thank you very much. These works fine. Is this a general problem and I do this after every update?
Thx, Johannes
Hello,
I want to update Newspaper 8.0.1, but there’s a problem.
I have installed Visual Composer and visual composer add-ons, there are
Ultimate Addons for Visual Composer, Visual Composer Extensions All in one and
Youtube Video Gallery-Youtube Channel For Visual Composer with Video Advertising.
When I will change to tagDiv Composer, Does not visual composer add-ons work?
Update: I have found the file but can’t figure out how to get it to upload following the tutorial instructions. I’ve also tried drop and drag. Doesn’t work.
Dear tagDiv Team,
I would know how to update Newspaper 8 theme to 8.1 version without losing all the changes I have made on the themplate.
I didn’t write any code or css changes, but of course I modified the homepage via TagDiv composer and the theme via the Newspaper8 Theme Control Panel.
How can I keep all the changes I have applied on my website? Will I lose them?
Waiting your courteous reply,
Best Regards,
Marco
