Since I made the update of the theme, the social counter widget for my twitter account is not working.
I try deleting it and rewriting again and still doesn’t work.
Do I have to go to the theme panel for solution?

I found something weird about it:

In “Themes”, there’re three Newspaper themes (as you see), i try to delete two 7.2 version (not use) > it tells “Theme doesn’t exist!) > i check in host ftp > there’s only one Newspaper in “Themes Folder”
For you knowing more clearly,
> when i update from 7.2 to 7.3,
>i deactive 7.2 theme
> active thirteen theme
> FTP to host
> Rename Newspaper folder to “Newspaper_”
> Copy via FTP 7.3 folder from my PC.
> WordPress admin > Active 7.3.
Weird thing begins
Please help me reset newspaper theme to get out this weird problem. I think there’s someway to work around with Database to remove or reset newspaper. Then i can active newspaper version 7.3. Hope everthing fine again.

Unfortunately from version 1.3 there is no way of updating and keeping any settings. Switching to newspaper 7 will be like switching to a totally different theme. You will have to add a bit of time and effort into re-creating your site elements with the new theme as compatibility between newspaper 7 and newspaper 1.3 is very limited.
Lots of things are different. I recommend deleting the old theme and installing the new one as a different theme. Automatic updates will not work with your version so you have to install the theme and delete your old one. Please use this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
Sorry for the inconvenience but we only provide backwards compatibility until version 4 of the theme.

If you do not want to use this feature, you will have to disable the option from the panel and then you will have to remove the code from the source td-login-modal.php core file, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/GytLxFqUV and then the code will not appear in the source page.
I have added this suggestion to our list of fixes and improvements and we will try to find a solution for implementing an option in the panel for this in our future updates.

I’ve tested the code provided and those warnings disappear from google’s report after the css was added. Those issues will be fixed in next theme’s update.

There was new version of WordPress released today; if you have automatic updates turned on, then something might have broken. Often you can resave permalinks, clear caches on site and in web browser, to clear things up.
Usually best to disable automatic updates, and also make sure you keep backups prior to updates!

I am just getting used to this theme and I really enjoy it! I have some feature requests for future updates:
1.)
An option to make JUST footer wide would be great. Visually, it would balance out the wide top if a wide top is chosen. Right now if you choose a wide top it looks fantastic but when you scroll down the footer looks quite narrow in comparison. Like maybe put it in a module? I don’t care about the page margins, just the footer. A wide footer would balance out any top wide settings in the menu or post settings.
2.)
On the wide post setting it would be great to be able to pick the color of the background of the content. Right now it forces you to keep it white. If there is a color setting for that please let me know as I have missed it.
Other than that, I am really loving this theme and I can’t wait to use it. Also, I really appreciate the quick response of the questions I have had. Thanks!
Furthermore, I am unable to delete the previous version of the theme when I tried to Update the theme via WordPress. When I click on delete, I get this error message “Deletion failed: The requested theme does not exist” and but the theme is right there

Hi,
You can prevent the css code from applying to any other parts of the site by adding the smart list class so the code will only affect the smart list of your choice. It is recommended to use it that way so the other parts do not get affected. Here is an example of how the code should look:
.td_smart_list_1 .td-sml-caption div{
position:relative;
top:-25px!important;
left:10px
}
You should add the .td_smart_list_1 class at the beginning of any code you want to use only on the smart list or another smartlist type you want to use. You can simply change the smarltist number and add the code so it will only affect the smartlist.
Unfortunately I cannot find a viable solution for the caption to be positioned on the left of the image. You can move the image but the caption stays in place. If you do not align it center, it will not stay on the image.
The only simple viable solution is to have it align center.
Ad for the images being clickable, it is the same on my end. This is not a default implementation of the theme as smartlists were designed to ignore caption links. Sometimes forcing things to display causes other issues. I will add this to our list for future updates and pass this information on to our development team so we can maybe add support for link captions in future versions of the theme. Sorry for the inconvenience.
You could try one more css trick though to remove the link from the images and only have the caption clickable:

}
As for the transparent grey backgorund you can use this code

Before making any changes in your site make sure you do a full backup to your current wp-install and the database also: https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups
Make sure you do a clean install, please check our documentation for more details in this regard: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ and also update Visual Composer at V 4.12 which is included in theme’s patch: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/ During the update process deactivate all plugins, just to make sure that there is no conflict.
After the update is complete clear all caches, purge the cdn if you’re using then test the site and check how it works.

How do I get the Newspaper theme to work on a full blown site without messing anything up.
I was previously using Newspaper 6 on my site before I switched to another theme, after the switch which I used for some time, I discovered that Newspaper is still the best and tried switching back but when I tried to install one of the predefined layouts for the homepage, the visual composer tab kept on loading for ever.
How do I get this theme to work and how do I update to the current version without messing anything up?

I am doing a test with Tagdiv Mobile plugin deactivated, and it seems my site is working perfectly on every browsers i tested from yesterday until now.
Just to let you know what i found from after my testing, i will update you when i turn the plugin back on and see if it still happens.

Slight update to this:
It seems Big Grid cuts the titles off after 25 characters while elsewhere on the site (breadcrumbs etc) it is 12 characters. Hope that helps in finding out how to change this setting!

Hi Catelin, thank you for the reply. The Travel Blog deomo was the reason that i bought the theme but I assumed I would be able to change out all of the images to fit the updated design. When I open the Visual Composer, on the dashboard, I don’t see a way to replace those three images. How do I replace them with new images? Also, when I try and activate Visual Composer, I get a pop up saying no license found.

Usually this issue is caused by cache or cdn. Please make sure that you update the theme according with our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ also try to deactivate all plugins except Visual; Composer, clear all caches, purge cdn files if you’re using then test the site again.
Note that we didn’t W3 Total Cache with the theme and we can’t guarantee that it will work fine. As a cache plugin we recommend WP Super Cache with this configuration: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
