Please make sure that you’re using V 7.2 of Newspaper theme which is available on themeforest and also check if Visual Composer is update at V 4.12. Try also to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches then test the site again.

Currently the theme does not have such a filter and unfortunately I can’t provide a solution for the moment. However I’ve added this on our todo list and if more people will make similar requests we will consider it for implementation in future updates.

The envato market updater will work with any theme bought from envato. It will not work for any other themes though. The update will not affect any changes you made (except for code customization).

We are glad we found a solution for this and it was a bit of a lucky shot as there could not have been one at all without serious code modification. Unfortunately old browsers are hell for every web developer out there. When you create anything web related, you have to make it compliant with all of the current technologies and in most cases this means it will not run on old browsers. Unfortunately the end users do not understand this issue and still use these old versions not knowing that technology advances and they have to keep up and not stick to a particular version of any software. Updates are a key element.

Unfortunately the iOS bookmarklet was not included in the mobile theme code so for the moment the bookmarklet will not work with the mobile theme active. We will add it in the next update for the mobile theme plugin though.

Hi I have searched this forum in hopes of finding an answer to change my main menu hover color, but to no avail I am currently using header 3 and my hover color is limited to a dark grey and no option in theme colors seem to address my need ( FYI include this in next update please it only makes sense to). Can someone please assist. Thank you
I have just downloaded Newsmag and wonder if it is necessary or more beneficial for me to use the child theme. I am editing within the given styles etc., so will my customisations be preserved with updates? I will take regular backups and it seems to me reading past posts on child theme issues, that it has complications which I would like to avoid. Reading documentation guides on when it is advisable to use a child theme, it is unclear to me exactly when it is not necessary to use the child theme at all. Hoping you can provide me with some clarity.

after the last update, the first sub-menu-item of the first main-menu-item is hidden behind the first main-menu-item. The submenu of the other main-menu-items are ok, so it is a problem of only the first menu-item. I use the Default menu-style and pages as menu-items.
Do you have any ideas?

I have updated Visual Composer however now when I try to make changes to my homepage (using VC) they will not save. I have access to all the VC options, but when I click ‘save changes’ nothing happens. I updated VC yesterday and have had this save issue since then.
I have a msg on my dashboard saying to activate the update of VC however have read in your forum that this is not necessary.
Any tips?
Hi, I want to combine the css for the demo I use with the main style.css file. Combining css files is one of the recommendations I get on speed test services. I realise that I’ll have to do this step each time the theme is updated, but that’s not a big deal.
Adding the demo css to the end of style.css is straightforward, but in which file do I find the code that links it?
We upgraded to 7.2 today and immediately got blank pages. We got our managed server techs to take a look at it and they came up with the following:
“The theme is using a wrong path to get the “includes” directory. Instead of getting the files from deeperblue.com/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/includes, it’s looking for the files on deeperblue.com/includes, which by default, this directory doesn’t exists.
To temporary remedy this situation, we’ve copied the directory deeperblue.com/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/includes to deeperblue.com/includes and your site should be properly working right now, however, the issue is still present and can cause numerous issues with it doesn’t get a fix as soon as possible.”
I re-installed a complete fresh version of 7.2 (rather than the patch) but the issue is still there.
Any ideas?
