Unfortunately, until now we do not have any bad reports in this sense. Also, please provide more details about what exactly is affected on your analytics code in this regard…the code will be erased from the field with each update or what do you mean exactly by ‘affected’? After WordPress updated at V 4.5 there appeared a jQuery conflict in our theme. We fixed this conflict and the current theme version available on themeforest works fine, also we included last version of Visual Composer plugin.
Try to update the theme at V 2.3.6, and Visual Composer at V 4.11.2 following our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-the-theme/ – https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/ deactivate all other plugins, clear all caches and test again.
If you still can’t manage to solve this issue provide your site url so I can have a closer look.

The child theme unfortunately is not update proof. if you only use css in the child theme, you are better off without it as you can add custom css in the theme panel-> custom css box. If you still want to use the child theme, Unfortunately the css will have to be added again on every update as style.css is modified every time an update is available. The child theme was meant to help in the update process to not update the customization every time a theme update is released but it has it;s downside You still have to update the files that were modified in the theme update. For example if you modify a php file, let’s say header.php, and use it in the child theme, you will have to watch out for this file in every update and when you see it got modified, you need to replace it in the child theme and re-make the modification.

Please ensure that you are using the latest version of the theme and also, the latest version of Visual Composer. Also, please notice that this issue does not come from your untested plugins which can interact with the theme and could cause a lot of unknown issues.

Great news, it worked! Thanks for that!
However, I’m still having issues with custom permalinks — the home page won’t load since doing an update on both wordpress core and the theme… I had hoped that it may have been VC that was somehow breaking it.
If I keep it to the standard ‘post-id’ style, it works, but anything else it breaks.
Any thoughts / ideas?

I’m sure this has already been discussed but just thought I’d throw it out there to make sure. I updated Visual Composer to 4.11.2 and now I’m getting this message under Product License: http://i.imgur.com/OLdmK66.png
Is this something I need to be worried about?
I’m running WordPress 4.5.1 and Newsmag theme 2.3.6
This issue is still here after I requested a fix and there has been 2 or 3 updates since then. It looks like something is missing on the page.

Yes! I completely updated the Theme via WordPress (the first install, my friend used Filezilla but I found it difficult so I did via WP which was s easy) and made sure Visual Composer was updated! All visuals are displaying perfectly! I only had to redo my FB and IG Feed in the side bar which was easy. – I’m loving this Theme! http://www.davidmotivations.com

We’re using Newspaper theme and since the last update to the theme and WordPress 4.5 we are now seeing “missing” stories on the homepage layout.
I’ve “Shift-Refreshed” my browser to dump the cache, and still see missing articles.
For example, on the homepage under the ‘Insurance’ category there is only one article displayed. There should be two larger stories and 4 smaller ones like on all the other blocks on the page.

Also, “Use Cases” only has 2 small articles displaying beneath the larger ones on the grid.
When it should be like all others—2 large stores, and 4 smaller ones beneath.
We presently have over 400 articles in the site so there is no shortage of stories to fill each category.
What could be causing this issue?
How do I resolve it?
Running WordPress 4.5.1
Newspaper: 6.7.1

Sorry if this sounds basic, but do I update the child theme if I updated the Newspaper parent theme? In my child theme I have only used CSS. My child theme is Version: 6.7.1.1461400149 while the parent theme is Version: 6.7.2.
If I do not need to update the theme, is it because it is a minor update or if say the update is from Version: 6.7.2 to Version: 6.8.0 or 7.0.0, will I have to update then?

I updated as you instructed and I am still facing one issue. The video playlist does not work on mobile. I can play individual videos, but the playlist play button does not work. Is there a fix for this?
Oh my goodness, I think I sorted it, but of course I just updated now and… suddenly my bounce rate has shot up! Is it that the analytics code is affected in the theme panel with each update and I’m having to change it each time? I can’t manage this every time you post an update :-/

My Visual composer not found when I Update my wordpress version.
I am using an API plugin and have custom blocks, modules, thumbnails, header, footer and top bars. The blocks are no longer registering in visual composer after the update to wordpress. Is this a known issue? When is the fix coming?
I am on the latest visual composer and WordPress.

We need to update our Visual Composer Version from 4.9 to 4.11.2 in order for the plugin to work on Newspaper 6, when WordPress 4.5.1 is installed.
However after the last version of Visual composer in installed we are unable to find the license code to activate this new plugin. Despite connecting my Envato account via the API, no license codes are displaying, I assume this is because the Visual Composers i use across my multiple Newspaper sites are bundled within the theme.
So… How do I activate my Visual Composer licence once upgraded?

Where can I find the Purchase code on my current site.
I have 8 sites running the newspaper theme and have just had to update them so that I may then update to the new wordpress and finally update Visual composer.
However with multiple downloads listed in my Envato account I am unsure which download related to which build. Is there a way to find the purchase code in the backend/theme panel?
