When using the path make sure you’re updating the theme from it’s previous version, in this case you need to have V2.0 installed.
If still not working you can try to update the theme as we recommend in our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-theme/ and make sure you backup your site: https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups

It seems like with every update your theme becomes even more terrible and buggy. Last time also during update I had to clean install whole site again due to lots of fatal errors. This time again! This time the problem was due to conflicting CSS classes of Visual Composer and main theme that made theme layout distorted. So I again reinstalled complete theme package, now when installing demo content, showing up this: http://screencast.com/t/3JJsjHrAhqn
It’s been 1 hour, it was stuck there so I had to finally cancel it and showed this error: http://screencast.com/t/EVuHkyRHxfR
My permalink structure in fine and .htaccess file is also on 644 permission.
What to do now?

download theme update file then I found nothing
You just need to connect to your account go to your downloads section: http://themeforest.net/downloads and download the theme, that latest version is available there.

Hi there,
I have updated to Newsmag 2.0 and find that I am unable to save changes in Visual Composer on my home page. Specifically, I can’t change the number of posts that appear in the slider beyond 5, despite changing this several times. In addition, in the blocks and modules I have on the home page, the posts don’t change when you refresh the page, or return to it (i.e. the same posts appear every time the home page appears.)
I would be grateful for your help on this.

Before update to last ver of theme and speedbooster i have only one load blocking js (jquery) and one css (style.css), so i just want to move this google fonts css to speedbooster again.

since I have updated from newspaper 4 to newspaper 6 I can’t properly access the theme panel. It doesn’t allow me to access for example “Thumbs on mundules and blogs” or any theme color related panels. Why is that?
In addition it always asks me to update tagdiv social counter plugin but there is no way to to it.
My site looks weird since the update and at the moment I do not see a way to change that without accessing the theme panel proberly.
I update my files in the folder patch_2.0_2.1 white page opens 🙁

I just updated the theme to the latest version and it looks like template is missing.

I just updated from NewsMag version 1.7.1 to 2.0. In your updated documentation I see several files changed including several files I moved to the child theme folder to make some slight customizations.
With each passing update will my modified files be outdated. Should I make these modification to the new updated files? I made slight changes to the category.php, loop-single-3.php, loop-single.php, single.php and page.php files.
I want to make sure I am not missing out on any new features by using older files?

I really love your theme – it’s great! But now I am facing a problem – when I choose to sort reviews by best rating, it doesn’t show them correctly. (lower rated reviews are before higher rated reviews and so on).
Most ratings are pretty close. Like 90.3%, 90.7%, 92%, 92.4% etc, but I’m sure that theme should recognize that.
I have a newest version of Newspaper (updated few minutes ago).
Also tried to disable all plugins – no luck.
Also updated each review – still no luck.
Maybe you can help me?

nope.. I thinks actually i wanted to clean the cache because the editingthat i made didnt show up in the site, so everytime i do an configuration update in the site i hit the clean cachhe button in the plug in .. but i guess i hit a different button..

Thanks for your quick reply. Just got around to this.. I’ve followed the exact instructions on answer #4 of the link you gave (https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/many-issues-with-new-v6-update/). I’ve done this for modules 1 and 11.
However, the views are still not showing on our page (www.askdrmaxwell.com). Can you please take a look and advise on what we need to do to get the views back up?

Note that Google rolled out new version of PANDA recently. They continue to refine placement, and are putting emphasis on mobile friendly, ORIGINAL CONTENT, “answers to questions,” https capability, pagespeed insights, sitemaps, and the usual stuff still relevant:
a) inbound links from organic sites, not paid text links or text ads, help placement
b) blocking bad links from “bad sites” such as low quality scrapers – you can disavow bad sites (we do this with sites like ‘searchnaked’ which had thousands of links to us)
c) proper schema markup
d) limit junk posts (e.g., youtube video and one sentence — is not original content)
e) limit content you “steal” from other sites then link to them as source — write your own version, get your own photo; that helps your ranking
f) site structure matters; good navigation, prioritize the POST over categories, tags, etc.
g) don’t sell text links, avoid popups, interstitials that block content loading for Google bot
h) READ the free Google guide to best practices for SEO
i) write original headlines – check your headline to see if it already exists; do something different!
j) posts should have at least 5 paragraphs so it looks like original post and not excerpt of another post
k) don’t use “next page” for home page; conflicts with your category indexes
l) update site regularly — updates every 6 weeks shows lack of new content
m) create your own images where possible, vs copying somebody else’s
n) learn to use your Google webmaster tools (now “console”) properly
o) don’t overload pages with too many ad modules from adsense, amazon, other ad system, etc. — too many ads pollutes your pages
p) use h tags for your relevant subheads in your posts, not just bold sub heads — couch your subheads as answers to questions people might ask “The right way to boil spaghetti” … etc.
q) make sure guest posts are not also being posted on other sites (!!)
r) share the heck out of your posts to social media, but use the social media worth sharing to and ignore the stuff nobody uses anymore (sorry, delicious, diigo, Technorati, etc.)
s) don’t use sock puppets for clicking your ads; paid likes on social media; or similar
t) answer comments on your posts to create dialog
u) make backups of your site often and carefully (!) — if your system crashes, and you’re off the web for prolonged period of time — very bad for SEO after xx days
v) do you have a backup plan if your host goes out of business, or GoDaddy DNS crashes again and your site is down?
w) consider spending a small amount on Google ads to promote your best posts or site on the topic you most want to be found under, like “horse breeding” or whatever
x) make sure your site is verified with all the top search engines
y) ignore stupid things like so called “ranking sites” like Alexa which are completely wrong on traffic, including their inability to track shortcode use
z) check your site regularly to ensure it’s secure ! Make sure you have security plan. Make sure you have privacy policy on your site.

We have approached this subject many times since last year, yet we haven’t managed to find the right implementation for this to also work with cache and without damaging or crashing servers on sites with high traffic. We had reports regarding this implementation so this is not an option.
At the moment we are considering using Jetpack’s plugin statistics which are held on their servers however this is still under discussion we don’t have yet any certainty that it can be done and we still have to document in this regard.
When we will have a certain answer on this we will update this tread and if we can’t make it work properly we will announce this and consider removing this sorting option.
