Unfortunately the theme doesn’t have an option to enable modal(lightbox) for content images from older articles, you will have to enable manually. We try to find an accurate solution and add an option also for this in Theme Panel in future updates.

You can use the patch files to update your theme, but only if you have used the previous version of the theme. For example if you use 1.7 version you can update to 1.7.1 using patch files(there are files that were modified in version 1.7.1 – fixes, new files, theme’s plugins new versions…).

Please try this custom css in Theme Panel > Custom Css for your main menu height – http://screencast.com/t/k2mUmDMgq

For that white space you will need to remove margins for logo and header ad, but you will need custom work for that for different screen size and also it will break the main menu. Unfortunately you will need custom work to integrate events categories so you can use theme like articles categories on page blocks and it is not an easy task. I suggest to hire a freelancer to do this for you as we cannot provide any type of custom work at this time as we work hard on development, updates, fixes and support.

What theme version do you use? I also checked this with the latest theme version 4.6.3 and did not found any issues. If you need to update please follow this guide(FTP method) – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme/ Also check this without any plugins active leave just Visual Composer active, clear cache and check again if you still have this issue.

We haven’t made any updates theme’s code therefore no updates on this but as I’ve stated before we will fix this in the next theme update which will be the new fifth version which we are working hard to finish and have it released within approximately two week form now.

Visual Composer plugin will be updated in the next theme update after it is tested with the theme, the current version provided with the theme’s files is 4.4.4. We currently working on version 5 of Newspaper and try to release it as soon as possible.

@bcnjmlopez We also use the full version of Visual Composer(unmodified) but some elements of Visual Composer don’t work fine with Newspaper for the moment. They are hidden from functions.php file – http://screencast.com/t/bGrOfosrdT All these elements will be available in version 5 of the theme.
Also please note that the theme was not tested with Visual Composer 4.5.2, the latest version of the plugin included in the theme files is 4.4.4. We provide updates on a regular basis, after we test the plugin for theme compatibility the plugin is included in the latest theme update, inside the /plugins folder.

@Jeni Please try to update your theme at the latest version 1.7.1 using this guide(FTP method) – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-theme/ and also update the plugins that come with the theme’s files from the /plugins folder. And then check if you still have that error.

@lospicos I have also checked your url on testing tool and did not found that issue, please provide a screenshot with the error and the url where this error appears.
