Hi,
Please make sure that you disable all plugins leaving just Visual Composer active then empty cache/purge files and check again. Also make sure that remove any custom modifications you have made to your theme as all this should not happen and check again.
I also believe that you are using an early version of the theme. We have fixed lots of issues in the latest theme versions so please try to update the theme to version 4.6 and also make sure you make a backup of your current theme installation so that you can revert back to it if something goes wrong.

Hello. I seem to be having problems with my post views counter.
This all started when i installed the caching plugin w3 total cache
Here it is
After i installed it my page views have somewhat been flactuating, sometimes they dont even move, then after a minute or more the pageviews are updated.
What could be the problem here? im using the newspaper theme, the W3 total cache plugin is used by my CDN and for cache purposes.

First please make sure that this isn’t happening due to some other plugins you are using so make sure you disable all plugins laving just Visual Composer and Social Counter and also empty cache and/or purge files if you use any cache plugins or CDN host services and try again.
What theme version do you use as we have included the fixed version of the plugin into the latest theme update 4.6 so if you do not using it we suggest that you get the latest theme version from themeforest and you should find the fixed social counter plugin’s version within the theme’s files in the plugins folder.

Hi there. Just installed the theme a few days ago. I am unsure if there is an update or not.
If I check WordPress>Apperance>Themes it lists version 4.6
If I check themepanel it lists 4.5d
The purchased .zip file contained a patch folder
The Envato WordPress Toolkit did not mention an update.
To patch or not to patch?

hello, thank you for this beautiful theme.
i have 3 issues
1) after your recent update the megamenu takes a lot of time to load each subcategory, before the update everything was fine, generally wherever ajax is used it takes a lot of time to load
2)the big slider on top of the homepage (i use homepage- bg- no article list template) is not responsive in mobile devices, images are not responsive
3)is there anyway to create a smart list function in posts like the one you use in newsmag, i am going to buy newsmag but i would like to keep newspaper as well.

Lucian, by the way, it would be nice to have an option in point 3. There are sites with no authors pages. So it is necessary to have Related post section under each publication, but not to have Other publications of this author. If you include this point into the following update, it would be very helpful.

If the theme works without the NGFB plugin active means that the plugin conflicts with the theme’s files and causes this issues.
You can check the the NGFB plugin change log for security update and if no changes of this type were made revert back to the previous version and wait for plugins next version and maybe they will provide a fix for this.

That should not happen. Try to check if this is not due to some other plugin you have first and disable all of then leaving just Visual Composer active then empty cache/purge files and check again.
If this doesn’t help try to delete and re install the Visual Composer plugin like this: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin-wpbakery/ and make sure you install it from the plugins folder that came within your theme files.

Site is responsive it updates all versions together as the “content” has nothing to do with “how it looks.”
Likely you need to clear your desktop web browser cache to see the changes. With some installs you also need to clear the site cache (e.g., GoDaddy) every time you do major updates to site.

As Christopher said Facebook updates data from time to time, the posts on our demo server didn’t changed in a long time so that’s a good reason on why the share data is correct. You can also update data manually using their debugger – https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/ and press Fetch New Scrape Information. 1. Nope, it’s still an issue, it’s most visible in Internet Explorer (11 under windows 7), half size in Firefox, and almost gone in Google Chrome.
That screenshot I’ve made is from IE11.
2. Then I’ll wait for you to fix this in an update of the theme. I cannot give up using Google Analytics by Yoast.

Sorry for the delay! Unfortunately due to the fact that the theme uses a custom template using a different code structure and as you have noticed as well the bbpress related plugins don’t work well or at all.
If you plan to keep the modified template then I suggest to try implement this yourself or get some to do it for you as unfortunately you will need custom work for it which we cannot offer at the moment as we work hard on the development, updates, fixes and support. You can always get a freelancer from sites like: http://studio.envato.com/ if you don’t know how to do it yourself.
Like I wrote before I have also added your suggestion to our todo list and we will investigate it and consider it for future updates but I can’t give you an exact answer on that as we have many requests on our lists and few time and resources so we have to be very carefully what we pick to implement.

after the update of Newspaper theme to the latest version (4.6) and the update of the NGFB plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/nextgen-facebook/) to the latest version pagination on every page doesn’t work anymore. I’ve tested with all the plugins disabled except NGFB and it still doesn’t work. Tried reinstalling the plugin and the theme but it doesn’t do the trick.
Tested with Twenty Fourteen theme with plugins on/off (NGFB was always on) and pagination works as it should.

You can add an custom css class like this: http://screencast.com/t/JcjeVNdfO2S then use Chrome’s or other browser inspect tool to see what css was used for the menu as would need more than adding a class to achieve this.
