Since it’s just a few of you having the issue (Works perfect on my fully updated install) then it’s very likely a plugin conflict. You can rule out the Official Facebook and Jetpack sharing plugins as I use both without any issues along side TD Social Counter. I also use Rotating Tweets within inches of the Social Counter output on every page with no issues.
Thanks. I have updated the theme to the newest version and no custom code has been added. My client wants the time stamp for each post to be displayed. How can this be done? Or does your theme not support it? I need to know so my client will have a definitive answer.

The social counter plugin was last updated on 25 April according to what I just downloaded via Themeoforest and it was working fine for me until today 30 April so I don’t think it makes any difference to delete and reupload?
Hi, When you release the 3.8 theme? on the page, I saw that there are already all the information contained in the update but that is not yet available. When can download?
I still have version 3.6 but look to upgrade when version 3.8 will be available.

Guess I assumed the update was installed as before (and missed any extra details??).
Now installed and some pages where I have used Visual Composer are missing showing the image boxes. I did try deleting the images and remade those image boxes in the pages but it still leaves a blank space. Am I missing something else?

you can edit the style.css file (not recommended if you later update the theme).
the order is important for css, one rule can overwrite the other.
try find the correct order.

Visual Composer is not working now I have updated to Newspaper 3.7 (previous home page a mess etc). Looking at the files there are 560 compared with over double the number in previous versions…

How you have updated the theme? You need only to replace all files via FTP.
An update, if I place the css rules FIRST in the Advanced CSS Desktop box, they work with no problem. If ANY other rule, that has no relation with the id and div is placed before, it doesn’t work anymore.

Your site code seems to be minify. Please disable the minify! Do you use W3 Total cache plugin? Use W3 total cache only with Page cache enable.
Also please make sure you have copied all files on the update, what you can do is to make a full update to be sure you have all files.

I’m still trying to get to the bottom of it.
I updated Newspaper to 3.7 and WP to 3.9 and activated the extension and had the problem.
My next step was uninstall it and revert back to the old versions of Newspaper and WP.
It appears that the AJAX problem doesn’t return until all three are activated.
Originally it stopped any of the “Load more” elements on the blocks from working.
I’ve now managed to get some of them working but not all.
If you look on my staging site you’ll see the main slider still isn’t working. And none of the actual features of the extension itself.

Its a shame because that extension would be a really good addition to the them if i could get it working! I’m going to drop the plugin authors a line too but I can’t replicate this problem on other themes.

The tagDiv Speed Booster works with our recommended plugins, with others plugins could cause incompatibility.
I recommend to deactivate it if you have other plugins active.
About the issue above, I’m not sure what you have there, but what you can do to be sure that everything is fine, is to make again the Theme + Child update and remove the tagDiv speed Booster if you don’t use it. Everything should work with no errors.

while reading the instructions to upgrade to version 3.7, it says that I need to activate the parent theme in order to install Visual Composer (now as separate plugin).
In my case, I installed the plugin while using the child theme, I just uploaded the plugin zip file and installed/activated it. And it works fine.
Is there a problem doing it that way? Or is it mandatory to install the way you indicate on the instructions? New future version of VC will be supplied by you?
BTW, I would suggest that any new upcoming version special instructions would be published on the main Newspaper forum as sticky post, because, it’s kinda hiddend on another forum category “Updates info” that maybe the major of the users didn’t read and found that after upgrading there where problems and “bugs”.

Hi, this morning I updated Visual Composer and installed TagDev Speed Booster and since that time our images no longer pop-up with lightbox effect. I have Simple Lightbox installed and this no longer works and I ahve tried others.
Any ideas to get this wokring again – for example http://www.viewpointsandreviews.com/george-inn-molash/ these images are now opening in new pages and not light box.

I’d like to replace the images in the Newspaper/images/no-thumb/ folder. I can obviously do it from the folder but I’d like to make sure that the theme uses my images in the child folder. Trying to make sure after theme updates I don’t need to worry about adding them in again.
