Good day please i updated the website to a new demo site, my issue is, the post are not organized they all flood in every section. Like there is a section for web3 news on the home page but it just shows the latest news posted even if it does not belong to that category same with others. If i click on the menu, it works fine but on the hoem page its scattered
Please how can i fix that
Thanks
Like the title says, when I updated from Newspaper v12.3 to v12.3.1, the ads placed in the Single Post Content widget stopped showing. I downgraded to v12.3 and they show again.
Here is the URL of downgraded production site showing the in-article ads. https://citrusheightssentinel.com/2023/03/30/traveling-vietnam-memorial-wall-replica-set-up-in-citrus-heights/
Here is the URL of staging site with v12.3.1, where ads do not show. The ad below the article is in a seperate ad widget after the Single Post Content widget. https://staging.citrusheightssentinel.com/2023/03/30/traveling-vietnam-memorial-wall-replica-set-up-in-citrus-heights/
So one of the theme demos, has on the top area a scrolling marquee of crypto currencies prices. I am not using that theme demo. I am using the Magazine PRO demo/prebuilt website. I have finished customizing it and it works fine.
The crypto pro demo.
On the Magazine PRO…there is a scrolling marquee TRENDING NOW element.
So I am wondering if the element that is in crypto pro demo, can it be put instead of the trending now element of Magazine PRO? But instead of crypto currencies…exchange rates and stock prices? Don’t have to update live, it could be once a day update. I am not picking on that part.
Yes I know I am sure there are WordPress plugins but if I can change what crypto pro has, that would be better.
Our website dies immediately when we activate the theme. I download again from themeforest. I downgraded to the previous WP. I closed all plugin (except the ones the theme required). I deactivate the child theme. Nothing.
The moment the theme is activated all the front-end dies with no error log. It kills the php-fcgi-starter and the php as a whole. With all other themes the site works fine.
We need to find a solution as soon as possible.
Thanks
In the linked video you see how slow the composer is and how fast the website is. There must be an error in the composer. It was Carey fast and after an update…. not more useable. What must I do on the Webserver? Which configuration?
Hi,
You need to have the latest version to have those options.
If you want to update the theme, you should download the latest version of it from Theme Forest account and download it.
Please make a full backup to all files and database => https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LAJXrSI-dDA
Here you can find information about the changes that have occurred in each update over time https://tagdiv.com/newspaper/
I recommend that you update the theme manually https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ via FTP/cPanel/File Manager, also if possible disable extra plugins during the theme update to avoid any problems that may arise and make sure that you have activated the tagDiv Standard pack plugin to keep the website’s look. You can try to update the theme on a staging website.
After you update the theme, you need to update the theme plugins too.
In the worst cases, the settings in the theme panel may be lost (there have been isolated cases), in these cases, after the theme plugins that were previously used are activated, you will have to use a backup for the theme panel -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/import-export-theme-settings/
Thank you!
Hello!
The tagdiv Composer plugin is a bigger one with a lot of functions and settings. Our developers tried to improve it more and more, optimize it as much as they could in every update, and also bring in new features. We will try to do our best for this, but it will always need a little bit of separate optimization depending on each website. And, without a doubt, good optimization entails using the tagdiv Composer plugin’s features less.
Thank you!
Hi,
If you use a plugin to add these banners, then maybe this interferes with the theme.
The theme doesn’t have an option like that, you have a code or some settings.
Also, please check this topic https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/update-required-newspaper-12-1-1-brings-extra-security/
Thank you!
Why it happened only if i updated the header?

Update: I did attempt to do an install on a new dormant domain just to see if I get the same results. I cannot get past the license key as it says it cannot validate. Not sure if this is because the key was used in the previous install I deleted, or if there is an issue.
Hi,
MaxMegaMenu is updated to newest version. I’ve also disabled plugin to check if it interferes with theme but it didn’t change anything. I will contact plugin authors but I think it’s not problem with MaxMegaMenu.
I’ve noticed these two problems after updating Newspaper to newest version. Before update anchor links didn’t work at all(similar problem was decribed in this topic https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/issue-with-anchor-tags/). They didn’t send to corresponding part of site. After update they started to work, but at same time these 2 problems appeared.

Update:
That email I was suppose to receive, just found it in my junk. I tried logging in via the ‘recovery link’ they provided and also visiting the error page link, it made no difference. Ultimately the instructions they gave haven’t changed anything and the issue still persists.- It reads the following:
Hi!
Since WordPress 5.2 there is a built-in feature that detects when a plugin or theme causes a fatal error on your site, and notifies you with this automated email.
In this case, WordPress caught an error with one of your plugins, tagDiv Social Counter.
First, visit your website (https://fightgameinsider.com/) and check for any visible issues. Next, visit the page where the error was caught (https://fightgameinsider.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=329&action=edit) and check for any visible issues.
Please contact your host for assistance with investigating this issue further.
If your site appears broken and you can’t access your dashboard normally, WordPress now has a special “recovery mode”. This lets you safely login to your dashboard and investigate further.
To keep your site safe, this link will expire in 1 day. Don’t worry about that, though: a new link will be emailed to you if the error occurs again after it expires.
When seeking help with this issue, you may be asked for some of the following information:
WordPress version 6.1.1
Active theme: Newspaper (version 12.3.1)
Current plugin: tagDiv Social Counter (version 5.3 | built on 24.04.2023 13:52)
PHP version 8.0.27

Hello Anamaria,
I’m using the official webstories plugin created by google. They are working fine, I can see, publish, edit, and everything. The problem is showing them on my website. Webstories are not cpt. They are considered a different thing.
There are posts, pages, categories and there are webstories. And I need them to be shown in my homepage, but there are no options available. Is there a way to do it or the theme is not updated to suport webstories yet?
Thanks,
Please don’t activate this by default, for next updates.
I am considering steps to replace the Newspaper theme itself. Do you want a progress update?

Hi,
After updating my theme from Newspaper Version: 12.3 to Newspaper Version: 12.3.1, an error is showing, https://prnt.sc/aQxB82g1wlgI and https://prnt.sc/YH2mRY7wpUTc. Please help to solve the problem immediately.
Hello,
If MaxMegaMenu is a plugin, then maybe there was an update and this interferes with the theme. Please try to use our element for the menu, and check if it works.
Did this problem appear now? Please also, contact the authors of the plugin.
Thank you!
Hi,
Please check if all the plugins have been successfully updated and are active, Also if you have external plugins please disable them temporarily to make sure that it is not a plugin conflict.
In case that the problem is still there we’ll need to take a look at it, for this please make a full backup for your website and contact us at contact@tagdiv.com and provide cPanel and wp-admin access. Also, include the link of this topic. We’ll check it as soon as possible.
Thank you!
Hello,
after last update trailers in the articles are not clickable (tried on PC/Mac/phone in all available browsers – Safari, Chrome, etc.).
I can just click on right mouse button and open in the new tab or window to see the article.
Normal click doesn’t open the link.

Can you help us?

Hi,
Using our theme you can choose from 3 mobile versions
-> mobile responsive => https://www.screencast.com/t/oJ2ShOp47
-> mobile theme plugin => https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
-> mobile page => https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/
If you created the mobile pages with tagDiv Composer, then when you install the Mobile Theme plugin, your pages will be overwritten by the plugin (the mobile theme comes with its templates for page, post, category, etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout, the page content is made without builders in mobile editor => https://www.screencast.com/t/xbgZG8kH also, the options that are provided to edit the mobile theme version are limited (this keeps the things simple)).
This is a video about Responsive Newspaper Theme, AMP & Mobile Theme, Mobile Pages & Templates -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
So, the mobile responsive is what you see then that you select the viewport on phone => https://www.screencast.com/t/matV17hH, so some settings may apply for each viewport(where is the border blue), and others are not(where the border is black).
The mobile page has the mobile templates from Cloud Library => https://www.screencast.com/t/YCcZ8rL8
Mobile responsive version of the theme and the mobile page editor can be edit with tagDiv Composer, the mobile theme plugin not.
For example, you can have the mobile theme plugin activate and use the mobile page/mobile responsive version for the homepage/pages, but for the categories pages/404 page you can’t use the mobile page/mobile responsive version if you have the mobile theme plugin activate.
So, if you want to design the pages with tagDiv Composer, you can use the mobile page or mobile responsive version.
Better deactivate the mobile theme plugin and see the results, and assign the mobile page for page, like this => https://www.screencast.com/t/lektAhyjd
Also, clear your cache.
Also, please check this topic https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/amp-pages-not-working-well-with-this-theme/
Hope this helps you!
Thank you!
Hello,
1. These are in alphabetic order, the option to see the child taxonomies is to have a dropdown.
2. No, this can be done only with custom work.
3. In the next update will add a new option to create your own modules, but until then you need to edit the plugin -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/edit-modules-flex-block-x/
Thank you!
Hello,
On my site(https://kopia.pti.org.pl/) I’m using anchor links(# links) in menu on specific pages. For some time there was issue with them, they wre not scrolling to corresponding IDs while viewing page in mobile device but I belive You’ve fixed it in one of latests updates of Newspaper. Right now they problem is that when I try to navigate to one of IDs from diffrent page it works correctly, but when I do same thing while beeing on that page already it creates 2 problems:
1. Mobile menu window doesn’t close when i click any section of site(besides 1st element but it reloads page anyway).
2. When I chose menu item with #link to same page it scrolls to correct row(or inner row) but when i close mobile menu window manually page content is getting scrolled above that row. My bet would be that there’s some problem while closing mobile menu window. Actually if you take a look you can see that after clicking link page is scrolled correctly and content is getting scrolled up after you close mobile menu window.

As reminder these issues happens only on mobile devices. On desktop everything works as it should. Also I’m using MaxMegaMenu on my site but it’s not causing any problems.
Hi,
For Newsmag there will be an update soon.
Thank you!
