Hi, I cannot see the settings of the post loop.

In particular I want my latest article to be shown with just a preview, while actually I can only show them entirely, and you can understand by yourself that on an homepage is not possible.

php 7.4, composer uninstalled and reinstalled, theme updated right now.

How can I solve?

My Posts Won't Show Up in Categories - topic

Hi There,

I was wondering if someone is able to help with this problem:

For some reason my posts won’t show up in category. I have checked individual settings, post settings, category settings and universal adjustments for posts and categories and they still won’t show up. They will only show up before I updated the theme with Newspaper Mag – so they will show posts that were published before Newspaper, but not the latest ones. Please advice!

Same issue here, the update 11.3.1 breaks my site, no more background image on home page, the footer is brocken too, no more colors on my header etc. I am forced to go back to 11.3.

If you need COVID19 Updates, then you can use Covid 19 statistic counter for displaying numbers for a certain country, and Covid 19 statistics table which display numbers for all countries: https://www.screencast.com/t/wFlntvwO2

I answered yesterday on email about this problem, seems the Sucuri Security plugin blocks access to the Facebook video https://i.imgur.com/0BRji6f.png and to update the post.
Please check the answered by email and make sure you have set the settings for this plugin correctly.

Please make sure you have tagDiv plugins activated (tagDiv Composer, tagDiv Cloud Library, if you use elements from tagDiv Standard Pack plugin).
It is also always advisable to back up all files and database, no matter what update you make to WordPress, theme, plugins -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/

Also, to be able to help you efficiently, please provide more details, screenshots, link to your website to can understand the problems.

Please Help I Updated my Theme to The latest Version and My Site has Reset.

I feel like crying, I’m deeply devastated, it took me like ages to get my website to perfection just the way I want it. But now everything is gone! I regret updating my site, I shouldn’t have, I didn’t know it was gonna reset my site ?? please help me I want to recover my site the way it is just before I updated.

Hello,

Please make sure the tagDiv Standard Pack plugin is updated and activated.
Those shortcodes and the error are from tagDiv Standard Pack, and this plugin is not required from version 10.4, because the new demos are using cloud templates.

Hi, how are you?
In this image:

is possible to see that, after last update, isn’t possible to edit with tagDiv the Footer template in Clouds Templates. Even the button in the editor page (when I click ‘Editar’ link) doesn’t appear.

How I can do?

I tryed to create e new template, but when select a Footer template, it appear the same problem.
I tryed to copy the code (click on Edit, copy the raw code of page) in another page that have the “Edit with TagDiv Composer” link, but, after saving, the page doesn’t load again…

It seems that have a miss understanding between footer code and TagDive composer.

Can you help me please?

Upgrading to PHP 8.0 worked to update the theme. Please update your requirement section if possible when you make a major release change; it still says 7.2. Thanks!

I just updated the site and get this error:

wp_booster error:
td_api_base::mark_used_on_page : a component with the ID: single_template_3 is not set.

Hi There
We have just updated to Newspaper 11 – Our desktop mega menu now only shows the ‘parent category tag’ instead of the sub category tags on the mega menu – before they showed the sub category tags and not the parent – everything shows as ‘Auto News’ instead of the relevant sub category. See here

Critical Error with td_subscription.php when opening Theme Customizer - reply

Hello!

I’ve tested on my end with the same demo, in the Appearance -> Customize and there is no fatal error or anything else like: https://kinsta.com/knowledgebase/there-has-been-a-critical-error-on-your-website/
Please make sure you have the latest version of the PHP, WordPress, theme and plugins(11.3.1).
The issue can be from a plugin conflict, that’s why, please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.

Help me with a question please, is it possible with the NewsPapper theme to make an announcement with a slide? With every slide change, automatically update the banner link?

If it is not possible to do this with the NewsPapper theme resources, is there a plugin that NewsPapper recommends using?

Hello Thomas!

Yes, you can if you will use a cloud post template. The options there could be to split a row into 2 columns, add a flex block with limit 1 in the left column and for the right column:
1. If you need a list, then you can add it with the element “Text with title” for example, but you need to add them manually.
2. If you need a list with the posts automatically updated, then you can achieve this with a flex block, but without the points into the list.

Opt-in builder is a new feature. In the next updates, we will try to implement also these functionalities.

You can use a flex block with a filter ( choose the category you want ) and a sort order : Popular (all time).

Unable to edit 'Text with Title' - topic

Hello, since the last update of the Newspaper theme, I am unable to edit ‘text with Title.’
I tried restoring the theme to a previous version, still, it is not working. It keeps showing loading symbols. I have a screenshot but can’t upload the image here.

Hello,

Normally, the settings that you have made in the Theme Panel or with tagDiv Composer will not be affected by the update of the theme, but if you made changes in theme files, then yes, the files will be overwritten.
Also, before update please make a full backup to all files and the database, in case something goes wrong. => https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/

Hello,

In most cases, this problem occurs because you have the latest version of WordPress with an older version of the theme.
Please check if you use the last version of WordPress 5.8.1 with the last theme version Newspaper 11.3.1 and see if the problem persists.
If you need to make an update, before please make a full backup to all files and the database, in case something goes wrong. => https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
Also, if the problem persists please check if you do not have a plugin conflict, please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv plugins, also if you are using a child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache (also from your browser) and try again.

I’m not sure what’s going on, but I would like some urgent help please.
The website was fine last night and this morning it is not working.
Change happened from updating Newspaper Theme from 11.3 to 11.3.1.
