Hi Ana

Thanks for help.

Initially I chose to change the header color through the theme panel, as you said in the second option: Header modified on the Theme Panel -> Theme Colors -> Header
. However, there is a single space (https://i.imgur.com/Et1IRBX.png) that it is impossible to change the color through the panel, so I do it by code, but whenever I update the newspapper, I need to fix it again.

So I decided to do it through the cloud library header template, as you suggested, but it works differently between home and pages and posts. In posts and pages (https://i.imgur.com/lllFknH.png) it’s ok, but on the home page it’s all misaligned (https://i.imgur.com/uSUQvuO.png). I’ve already made several changes to the editor, but I couldn’t fix it.

I left the original template colors online so you can understand it better: empreenderonline.com

The title says everything. Using the Magazine Pro theme, but now it’s just a bunch of gibberish. What happened?!?

My version is V 9.6.1, which means it does not have auto-update function.
I hope to update the latest version from V 9.6.1

How would I now install new downloaded files so that my customization does not affect?

I downloaded default Demo from “install demos”, and customizes it for my website.

When I tried to update it on my development environment, the page needs re-downloaded default Demo again.
However, my customization is gone.

So, I would like to ask you how to install new downloaded files so that my customization does not affect from V 9.6.1.

I was testing updates in a staging environment before taking the changes to live environment. Everything seems to work after updates, except the mobile plugin. Activating the mobile plugin causes critical error on mobile devices.

To troubleshoot, I deactivated EVERY plugin except tagdiv composer, tagdiv social counter, and tagdiv cloud library. Yet, enabling the tagdiv mobile plugin causes a critical error (only when accessing the website via a mobile browser).

Please look into the issue. WordPress 5.8.1 and Newspaper 11.3.1

Same problem with me also. Everthing got deleted after this 11.3.1 update & my website looks horrible. What to do now ?

This update version 11.3.1 didn’t solve the problem.
The bug remain exist..

For example if you set the row stretch to (stretch row and content with padding)
The css of margin & padding not working as well in responsive mobile view
Even if set one by one, row by row, the margin or padding setting generate an error.

The update to 11.3.1 resulted in code appearing on our front page. We had to go back to 11.3 to get everything to work again, activating these plugins: Composer, Cloud Library, Social Counter and Standard Pack. Why isn’t the update working please? Is a higher PHP required? What else are we missing??

These updates are becoming a nightmare! All of my Google AdSense code was deleted. My custom CSS was deleted. My newsticker was deleted! Beyond frustrated with how this is going. I have specific code I use for the blockquote? As it is not being read in the custom CSS setting, where in the h*ll do I put it now or where can I go change the size/font/color and add my code?

Hey, I can’t find where to remove the “Fitness blog” reference at the top of the page. We need to update that to our topic.

Ok I solved.
the layout scramble was generated by some garbage html in one post with a “double author” set by a plugin.

I updated the theme and suddenly a huge tagdiv icon bumped at the top of the page

Can I fix it just displaying it as “none”?

I’m connecting and using Chrome browser.

Regardless of the api update made by Facebook, this is not the problem.

If that was the cause, the Like button wouldn’t work in previous versions of the theme, don’t you agree ?

Something in version 11.3 or higher that is interfering with this button.

Hello!

We do not have a list with the compatible version for each update. But, we recommend to be sure you have the latest version of the plugins in every update by accessing the Newspaper -> Plugins and see if there the plugin are active or not. If they are active it means you have the correct version, otherwise it will appear a button with Install and you should install them.

Thank you!

Hello,

As I said above the Facebook API was changed and then became deprecated. in the last update of the API, in order to be able to use the like button, the user who accesses your articles must be connected to Facebook on that browser.
For example, I am connected to Facebook on Chrome and the like button is displayed => https://i.imgur.com/PKuOlGL.jpg but on Firefox I am not connected to Facebook and the button is not displayed https://i.imgur.com/eNKzgFD.jpg
I hope this information is clearer.

Thank you!

Hello!

Let me explain you which options of mobile versions are:

1. Responsive version: A responsive version of your website is looking similar like on desktop, edit the page with TagDiv Composer, click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB ; there you can see your mobile version and you can edit the elements there.

2. Mobile pages: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/

3. Mobile theme plugin: The Mobile Theme is a performance optimized theme included in the Newspaper main theme and it loads only for mobile devices. It comes with its own templates for page, post, category, etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. For more details, please take a look here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/

A full explanation you can find here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY

Now, you can use which one is more suitable for your needs. In your case, I recommend the mobile pages(2), so you can have a different page than desktop version editable with the TagDiv Composer. All what you should do is to create a mobile page and assign it to the desktop page.

Thank you!

Hello,

Yes, you can update the theme to the latest version 11.3.1.
Also, I saw you use WP Bakery. This plugin is a conflict between tagDiv Composer/tagDiv Cloud Template which is why I recommend you to shift from WPBakery to tagDiv Composer because WPBakery is an old builder plugin => https://i.imgur.com/O4CA0y0.png -> https://i.imgur.com/bFnzNtQ.png -> https://i.imgur.com/mv8AhFU.png -> https://i.imgur.com/IMyLYiY.png
Also, if you use standard templates for header and footer from Theme Panel, then please make sure you have tagDiv standard pack updated and activated, please check this topic https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/header-styles-not-showing-on-theme-panel/
Also, please update the theme via FTP/cPanel => https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/

Thank you!

Hello!

We have only a situation when your plugins may display the install button in the Newspaper -> Plugins. If you had an old version to your updates, then the theme update is not updating your plugins automatically.
A workaround there could be to delete the plugins and then install them again to make sure their version matches the theme’s version.

Thank you!

Hello!

We provide a fix for this JSON error in the 11.3.1 version. Please update the theme and plugins. Note that some CSS settings from the CSS tab of the elements which you adjusted in the 11.3 version will be lost. A workaround there could be to switch the last revision of the page.

Thank you for understanding!

If you need a responsive version, then please deactivate the Mobile theme plugin and see the results!

Just as a follow up to this the latest Newspaper update resolved the issue, can now select the template.

Can also change it in phpMyAdmin, although it’s a little complicated.

Ana Maria,

I updated to version 11.3.1 and the problem remains.

If it was a Facebook problem, it wouldn’t work 11.2 and earlier, wouldn’t you agree?

Alto is interfering with the Like button and certainly with other users of the Newspaper theme.

I am having the following error code when in query monitor.

Still have to do the update from 11.2 to 11.3.1 but on my test website, the theme is messed up (footer, headers) http://www.aviation24.fr

Did you test the theme before throwing it online ?

GET https://api.envato.com/v2/market/buyer/list-purchases
?filter_by=wordpress-themes 403 Forbidden
Envato_Market_API->request()
Plugin: envato-market 14 0.1579

Hi there,
I genuinely used to have a recurring nightmare about updating the Newspaper theme.
Each time that I get an update, something goes wrong, by the way, the most evident problem is that, even if it was disabled, the amp plugin got activated.
So, mobile users see a completely wrong version of the website.
I’d like to know if it’s a knowing bug or there’s something to know about the amp stuff settings, to avoid it (but I mean, if the amp part is disabled, why it goes activated, presumably by the theme version update?) ?
Thank you for your support
