Hi all.
I am having some problems with posts that have a featured video. Some weeks ago, when we set a youtube video as a featured video, we can see it with the same width as the post body. But some days ago, new posts and also older posts just show the video with a maximum width of 600px. Checking the source code of the page it seems that the iframe tag defines that 600px width.
Is it related to any recent update of Newspaper theme? Is it a configurable item from theme panel?
I also tried to downgrade to version 10.3.9 but with same result.
Any help?

If it helps anyone, the answer to this problem is to execute this sentence in the database:
update wp_postmeta
set meta_value = ”
where meta_key = ‘td_post_theme_settings
(You must replace wp_ with the prefix of your table, or it will not work)

The thing is that, although it works, it adds a negative score in lighthouse audition, thus it’s not a thing that I can just ignore (neither do you)… Hoping, again, that the next update solves it!
Another thing, in the same area: this result shows that a mobile element is loaded in my desktop version. Is there nothing to do to deactivate this, in particular?

I am using the same code on some of my websites and it’s working as expected.
Tip: You must remove the old code you have added to theme’s functions.php before adding the code I have mentioned in the previous reply.
Instead of using Async plugin I will recommend using WP Rocket plugin it comes with all the features and options you need to speed up WordPress website.
They also have defer JavaScript option for both internal and external scripts.
They are also working on removing unused CSS code functionality and will be available in coming updates.

There can be an old plugin that is in conflict with something new in the theme. Please deactivate all the plugins except tagdiv ones and try the update.

Hi, Since the most recent Newsmag and WordPress updates I have found that the Lightbox slider in the block editor is greyed out. The carousel seems to work by default on all posts but it is impossible to expand an image by clicking—a click just moves to the next image.
I am not sure whether this is a theme problem or whether it is something to do with the latest WordPress update. However, it is frustrating and I am receiving complaints from the readers of my blog (www.macfilos.com) about this function. Any guidance would be appreciated.
Page randomly goes to mobile mode on a desktop. Then I have to clear cache to get it back to look normal in desktop mode.
It usually goes back to normal desktop mode in about half an hour or so if I don’t do anything. I’m having this problem since the last update I believe.

I have the same problem. The social media counts are not getting updated 🙁
I just updated my Newspaper theme to the most recent version. However, now that I did that, the tagDiv blocks along with my header no longer display correctly. You can see an example of what I mean here:
