Hi, team tagdiv.
There’s a bug in your theme. You gave us flexibility to use beautiful animation, namely placeholder travel, on searchbar. When user is typing in the searchbar, the placeholder goes up and becomes invisible because of the opacity set to 0 on focus. That’s great and how it should be.
But the point is when the search is done and user lands on the search page, the search term is still in the searchbar which is fine. But the placeholder is also there and it creates mess in the searchbar. Neither the placeholder nor the search term is clear since one is overlapping the other.
Got a solution without using a custom css? If you think that this is not an issue or a bug and won’t be addressed by the developers in future update, then please give me the css code (cross-browser-compatible).

I don’t think i am using ‘header logo elements’ as i don’t have the options shown in your screenshot. Just to make clear, header and footer logo on desktop are fine. Header logo on mobile is fine. It is only logo on mobile footer not showing. I think this started since i updated theme. Any other suggestions?

Here at Tagdiv, our team is running the theme on 7.4.2 and couldn’t notice any issues at the moment. You can update and test to see. Just do not forget to create a full backup before updating.

In latest update , Newspaper 10.3.1 we added a better support for Custom Post Types (CTP) on the content blocks, but the blocks you want to edit do not have this option.
Unfortunately for the moment the CPT can be set in related articles and more article box only with custom work, and this is not covered by the theme support.

We tried everything, we have high-end hosting as well with lot of RAM and dedicated CPU.
We disabled all plugins and then enabled it one by one. the problem is with AMP being enabled in Theme panel with Yoast turned on.
Some severe compatibility issues. We faced this in the past too, but after the latest newspapwer theme update. It is just painfully slow and server times out.

So, Envato is sending me these emails saying that I need to download an update for the newspaper theme. I don’t see an update in my envato account. I don’t see one on my back end dashboard either when I log into my website that I am working on. I followed steps, WP Admin, WP Theme, Plugins, Enable standard pack, but I don’t see the enable standard pack option. How do we update the theme ? Thank you

Everything I put in the footer1 area (HTML cde, widget), brokes and does ot appear right. I can’t use the tag div composer, this is not appearing in my posts nor home. I don’t know how to update (if have a link post, please provide me).

we recommend to update the theme for the features and security reason, but if you want or not to make the update is your decision.
The design and settings should not be lost when you make an update, especially when you don’t skip any updates.
Also please provide some more details about the problems you are facing when you made the update and please provide some details about the way you do it.

Please notice that you are using an very old version of the theme, we recommend to make a full backup to your website and database also we recommend to make first time the update on a staging website were to set your current version and make the update.
Also the Newspaper Default Pro use only cloud template sand flex blocks, if you have set a demo in this moment and you do not overwrite the pages, post from this demo then should not be a problem.

Unfortunately in the most recent updates, Wp Bakery plugin is causing a lot of conflicts. Also please note that our developers have came with a lot of improvements to TagDiv Composer which should be helpful.
Please note that tagDiv Composer is a required plugin in order to run Newspaper theme.
Our latest version is Newspaper 10.3.1 and we suggest your making this transition on a development environment first and make the adjustments necessary in order to have a smooth transition.

So if I have version 10.3 (not 10.3.1) – it means that the VC version should be 5.0.1?
4. Sorry, can’t really accept as an answer.
My complaint was that the block was created with VC and is not recognized for some reason by TagDiv Composer.
Your reply was: “As long the theme updates were made correctly then there should be no problems for pages”
Updates went ok. And we have this issue. How can we solve it?

As much as I enjoy Newspaper theme (rated it 5 stars), this is something that was implemented years ago in VC and it is something that every developer expects from the visual composer. Please add it to the whishlist, or at least count my vote for it 🙂

Hi Team, any update on this?
When we tried to save a minor update to our home page — changing the text of a header from “Notice” to “Advertisement” — we received a “Success” message followed with by this error message:
“Invalid page template. Current state has involved an issue. You could try an UNDO operation (CTRL+Z / CTRL+SHIFT+Z)”
What would be causing this error message? We have not edited the home page since we launched the website, and we have never seen this error before today. All we did was change the text of a header.
How would we troubleshoot what is invalid about the page, if anything?
