Hello,
I am trying to update the newspaper9 theme. I completed the download step.
“Log into your ThemeForest account, in your Downloads tab look for the Newspaper theme
“Click the Download button next to it and choose to download the Installable WordPress Theme (the WordPress file)”
Now
” Step 1 – Deactivate the current “Newspaper” theme from the Appearance > Themes section by simply activating a different theme. Once you activate a different theme, delete the Newspaper theme. Don’t worry, your content will not be lost.”
I can’t do this step because my doesn’t have the Deactivate button at the corner.
Right now I am running on Child Theme of the Newspaper9. When I log into “apperance”—“themes”—I see 2 themes :parent theme and child theme of the Newspaper9. The child theme is currently activated. And I can’t DEACTIVATE these 2 theme.
After updating the theme, and plugins, the mobile homepage no longer works and shows shortcode. The homepage works on desktop, but the homepage doesnt work on mobile. What is causing this?mobi
We’ve tried to install each of your Past three (3) Theme Updates, but in each case, we had to reverse course. Our latest effort occurred this morning as we attempted to install Version 10.2. See below.
1) We observed that only when we installed and activated the “Standard Pack” plugin included in their bundle, our website would immediately go down with a “…critical error…” – When we deactivated, the website would again be available.
2) Without the “Standard Pack” plugin, no code (as described) is displayed.
3) Version 10+ changes the display in the front end display as follows:
The website title appears below the header navigation (the title should not display).
The website logo is displayed three times below the header (each of the three same logos on a separate line, one immediately under the other).
The navigation in the header displays as bullet lists.
The font in the header and footer is changed.
The background image for the footer no longer appears.
The setting for Default post template (site-wide) >> DEFAULT SITE POST TEMPLATE gets changed to default (it should be left as is).
Please let us know if you need temporary Admin access, as we’re missing out on your many patches and fixes along with the enhanced functionality included within your last 3 updates. Thank you!
I am using default post template. After Update the theme there are not showing post date beside author name and blocks.
Hi, I am having a problem saving anything in theme panel. Can you please have a look. I have installed the latest update of the theme or 10.2. When I try and save anything, I get the loading wheel constantly. I might be incorrect but I think these are the errors that are coming from this;

Sorry for the inconvenience for the moment the Autoptimize plugin is not tested with our theme, therefore we can not recommend it, but to be sure that these problems will be avoid I’ll ad this plugin on our list for testing and I hope will be supported in coming updates.

Please make sure that you still have add the analytics code set and this is working, we recommend to set it in theme panel -> http://prntscr.com/q3snxb in this way it will not be lost when you’ll make a theme update.

Updating from 10.1 to 10.2, do I need to upload everything or just the files from folder patch_10.1_10.2.
Do you recommend updating WordPress to version 5.3, I am still on 5.2.4 (I had problem on other websites with 5.3 and had to roll back to previous version so I am hesitant to update)
My bad. I mixed up schema.org and open graph.
Initially meta=”og:…” existed in html code, but after update to 10.1 they disappeared. I have no SEO plugins.

yes, the schema was not disabled (although I use Yoast SEO). Preview is working now.
But you should fix this with the next update, so the output does not show an error. The best solution would be a message to turn off schema, when a SEO-plugin is enabled 🙂

The best way to update the Newspaper Theme is to delete the current Newspaper Theme version and TagDiv Plugins and after that you can install the new version.

The 10.2 Version includes only some quick fixes so is not necessary to make a clean install. You can simply upload the new version over the old one. Make sure to update your plugins.

Hi after thema update my home page shows the first 4 pages normally, then it already shows all the complete articles on the home page, instead of showing only the images and the short description. How can I solve it?

I’m sorry but is this a joke! Your theme is causing an error in GTMetrix and the best support I get is a list of links to posts! You advertise this new Newspaper X update as blazing fast with a high gtmetrix score. I have errors and when I PAY to renew support your first reply to my issue is an additional ‘paid service fee’ I’m assuming there is NO MORE support here! You then blame other plugins and I replied this is coming from the tagdiv editor and standard plugin! You can’t be serious with your replies for support considering I bought newspaper 4 times and recommend your theme to all my clients! This will no longer be the case!
We are now looking at Elementor and Divi as an alternative! If this is what you consider professional support I’ll add this to my in depth review and why I would recommend one of these alternate 2 page builders! Absolutely shameful!
