You could remove the function mentioned in that topic, and that should remove the live ajax search. By a setting it is not possible unfortunately.

Before the 9.7 update is was possible to use one of the theme single templates for CPTs, in a child theme, and also customize them if needed. But after the latest updates when most of the theme files were moved in the composer plugin, that is not possible anymore. Having them displayed with a different post template is not possible with theme settings at the moment. Maybe an option or a new solution will be provided in the future, can’t say for sure. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Overwriting the files would cause a lot of problems and maybe you’ve missed something while deleting the old files. Have you checked the plugins to be deleted too ? I’m trying to have multiple loop post elements on Category and Author pages. Started with a blank template. Inserted in 2-3 “loop post” elements so that I could have different sections with different sized elements for the loop. I offset the additional posts as appropriate. The template looks fine. But when I implement on the site, the same posts appear in all sections, or sometimes it is the same single post repeated in each section. Pagination does show (as there are multiple posts), but each post repeats in all sections.
I saw a similar post here but wanted to start new thread since that one hadn’t been updated.
Essentially the loop is broken when multiple “post loop” elements are on the same page.
I was curious if a fix has been identified or if there is a workaround in place.

Before today there was no problem. Once site was updated with newer newspaper page builder just shows blanks for everything. Can edit anything, cjange anything . Ive had to reinstall back ups 4 times today alone.
It seems after updating to wordpress 5.2.2 the updates I make in the Ads Settings in the Theme panel do not reflect on my site. I thought it was the entire theme panel, but other changes do work. Its only the Ads Settings.
Update. After I just fixed everything I updated the Newspaper Theme and everything came crashing down again. Im also running WPBakery 6.0.2

I was just wondering with all the recent changes with theme, is it no longer required to use a child theme.
Before recent updates, I was using child theme on my site but have noticed today that it has switched to Newspaper them and the child theme is now inactive.
Any info on this would be much appreciated.

Hello! My website is https://savoriurbane.com/ After the last theme update (I did it today) some of the widgets on the sidebar disappeared so I had to put them back one by one. OK. Everything seemed fine until I edited the Homepage with TD Composer and modified only the content of some blocks (I changed the recipes according to season). Brilliant – thank you setting are back. I have reverted to version 5.6 as its the only version I have available. I think that automatic’s updates of plugins may have been turned on at the host side. I will correct this today. Thank you for your help.

I’ve now tried adding the widget through the widget section and Live Preview. In Live Preview, when I add either a title or a Twitter handle and tab through to the next field, that information that I just typed disappears.
As usual, I am optimizing my pages for faster loading. Something that is benefiting me in the latest Google updates.

Last night WordPress rolled out 5.2.2, and when I woke up this morning our Twitter List Widget was missing from the site. When I went to r-eadd it, it won’t. Is there a cache that I need to flush to make that happen? It was working up until the WP update and nothing else has changed on the site since.

So when you attempt to edit the pages with WPBakery there is a problem? From what I can see you have (or the plugin did automatically) updated the WPBakery plugin to version 6.0.3, and from user feedback there might be problems in this case.
The version of WPBakery provided with the theme is 6.0.2 which should work fine. We don’t recommend to update the plugin before we first test it and include it with the theme

Regarding the drop-down arrows on mobile, this is a bug in the theme after the last update. It is a CSS issue that will be solved for the next update. The quick fix is to enter this code in the same location as mentioned above. It will fix it

All the theme modules, blocks, grids etc can display the article title of the post by default. For example this is a demo page containing blocks and grids that display posts

That also I dont believe to be the problem. I rolled back my website a week. This is a day before this happened. On the backend in my admin area I am still running 6.0.3. You can check that yourself.
There are two plugins there that need an update and they are:Facebook for WooCommerce and WooCommerce Admin. So I would suggest you guys test your theme with these two plugins. I lost a weeks work so I dont have the time to test the theme.
I don’t think it will be easy to do unfortunately, if even possible. Also after the latest theme updates most of the files were moved in the tagDiv composer, so they can only be modified there. When the theme and plugins are updated the modifications will be lost.
From what I know this request is added on our list and it may be considered for implementation in future updates. But I can’t say for sure when or if this will happen. Sorry again for the inconvenience.

@Sonjita The functionality is still the same. Excerpts are displayed in modules, in the post page the subtitle will be displayed. So you can use the subtitle field to display a chosen text in the post pages.
The solution from above will require modifications to the post templates, which after the latest updates are located in the tagDiv composer plugin. This means that they can’t be modified in a child theme anymore, only directly. The modifications will be lost after a theme update, the plugins have to be updated as well.

Most of the theme files were moved into the tagdiv composer plugin as per the requirements of envato: https://help.author.envato.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000472383-WordPress-Theme-Requirements.

Moving forward with such requirements, a child theme will only work with functions.php, and style.css as there are very few files left in the main theme as envato requires all functionality to be added through plugins.
