Please make sure that you have downloaded the latest version of our theme and then try instaling it on clean wordpress ( no other plugins / themes to get in conflict with ). If you did everything right and the problem still persists, please contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login, as well as cPanel or FTP if possible. We will take a look. It is mandatory to delete all what was left from the older version before intalling this update. Overwriting the files would cause a lot of problems and maybe you’ve missed something while deleting the old files. Have you checked the plugins to be deleted too ? If you are certain that you have installed the updates correctly by deleting all of the older versions and made a clean install from scratch please contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login, as well as cPanel or FTP if possible. I see you are using theme version 9.2, that was when the new theme lazyload option was introduced, but there were some problems with it so it was improved in 9.2.1

Try to disable the theme lazyload in the theme panel, then clear all caching and check if the issue is solved.
If you should decide to update the theme to the latest version, note that the 9.7 update was a major update – https://tagdiv.com/updating-the-core-of-tagdiv-themes/
If possible test the update in a staging sob-domain, with a copy of the live website installed.

I updated to Newsmag 4.9 and the dropdown menus are not working any more for the mobile version. At the desktop and tablet versions it is working perfectly, but in the hamburger mobile menu, only appear the main menu parts, not the submenus.

Why? Why? Why? Every time I update something this entire thing crashes and everything goes bonkers. I can not have this happening. Being told it is because of Wp Bakery Page Builder is crazy. issue: my child HEADER.php seems not to be loaded
I am using newspaper v 9.7.3 and the child theme. I copied the theme’s HEADER.php to the child theme folder.
Then I added some stuff in the <head> section, just scripts and links.
In the previous version all worked, but since the update from 9.7.2. to 9.7.3 my child HEADER.php seems not to be loaded.
My script and links do not appear when the page is rendered.
Maybe because of the first few lines in that header file?:
php code in the first few lines:
do_action(‘tdc_header’)
if (has_action (‘tdc_header’)){return}
If I delete that code … my modified header file is apparently loaded … but the page is not rendered correctly any more (e.g. the logo is missing). So, I am stuck here.
What does that php code do? First registering an action and then returning if it is registered? Maybe something to look into?
HAS ANYBODY used the child theme with a modified header.php file.

I’ve made some investigation for import/export option from theme panel using the Newspaper theme v9.7.3 and indeed the message show that the settings was imported successfully, but there are no effects of theme, this seams to be a problem, will try to fix it for the coming update!
If you need this option to work you can send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and ask for the previous version 9.7.2 ( in this version the import/export settings are working).

After the recent theme updates, the composer has to be active at all times

Most of the theme files have been moved in the tagDiv composer, so it has to be active to maintain the same functionality.
If you want to use WPBakery you can use it. What are the problems you are having in using WPBakery?

Any suggestions why my site http://www.southantrimvox.co.uk (homepage only) is broken in Firefox and not in other browsers I’ve tried.
Any suggestions on what I can do to fix it. It’s built with tagdiv in WP pages. other pages are built using cloud templates. I updated from Newspaper 9.7.2 to 9.7.3 yesterday, but it broke the whole thing so I rolled back from a backup. I also updated tagdiv composer etc before I rolled back, it’s version 2.4.
I’m scared of updating this theme. Something nearly always goes wrong.

Hi,
By default that is not possible, that field can’t display shortcodes unfortunately. This will require modifications to theme/composer files to achieve. Modifications that will be lost after a theme update because they are not possible to do in a child theme anymore.
The better solution would be to maybe consider using a review plugin, that has the capabilities you require. Try some free plugins for example
