Hi,
Could be the same issue mentioned here – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/forward-slashes-error-when-building-a-page-with-tagdiv-composer/
If that is the case, you should consider to update the theme.
Thanks
Hi,
It could be that it is disabled in the Gutenberg options – http://prntscr.com/mbwerq
Note that compatibility with WordPress 5 and Gutenberg was added in theme update 4.7, a changelog can be seen at the bottom of this page
– https://themeforest.net/item/newsmag-news-magazine-newspaper/9512331
Older versions may not work properly with the latest WordPress. Consider to update to the latest theme version and check again. I tested this on my end and seems to work alright
– http://prntscr.com/mbweg8
Let us know if there still is a problem.
Thanks
I have an urgent problem.
I’ve updated the theme via FTP, and as soon as I activated it I got HTTP ERROR 500.
My site is https://atma.hr/
For last 3 hours I’ve been trying diferrent solutions but nothing works.
I don’t have a hosting provider, I have rented my own server with hosteurope.de and have 2 more sites there which work fine. So I can’t contact my hosting provider since I’m hosting it.
I was prolonging this update for a few moths and my worst fears came true. It’s really frustrating. makes me never want to update again.
Please help me resolve this matter.
Thanks
Hi,
Unfortunately or theme do not have any option to do that, but you can edit the header file and set there a condition -> https://www.screencast.com/t/HjpZnf0qSBp also if you do this in a child theme your changes will remain after theme update.
The path is this -> wp-content/themes/Newspaper/header.php
Thank you for your understanding.
Hi,
You seem to be using an old theme version with the latest WordPress, that may not work properly. Compatibility with WordPress 5 was added in the theme in update 4.7. The changelog can be seen at the bottom of this page
– https://themeforest.net/item/newsmag-news-magazine-newspaper/9512331
For a good functionality you should consider to update the theme when updates are available, here is a guide

Thanks
I just tried to update the theme via FTP. As soon as I activated it I got HTTP ERROR 500, and can’t resolve the issue.
I have tried following:
– define( ‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ‘256M’ );
– changed the name of plugins folder
– reuploaded wp-admin and wp-includes folder from fresh wordpress
– renamed .htaccess file
– tried changing the PHP version
Nothing works!
Please, help me resolve thins urgent matter.

Thank you so much for the kind words.
They have not set up my site, I have set it up. I have asked that they fix something that is broken, I did not break it. And for the record, I’m happy to pay support some fee if required.
My concern was not that it has not, as yet, been fixed, it is that they have not updated me at all, which is not good customer service. A simple email saying, “we’re working on it”, or a post here would have been sufficient.
Many thanks for your reply, Calin – I understand (hence “Flex” box, I suppose) but this would be a very good feature to add here – then I could load posts without constant adjustment to element depth.
I see that setting characters could fix this but it doesn’t look professional for a publication to end words half way through! You know journalists! Please consider make element depth fixable in next update. Newspapers would love it.
Regards
MG
Hi,
I am TD Composer to create landing pages for a while but since one week I have an issue to work on it.
Everything is fine except that when I try to edit a text block from TD composer, the editor is empty from any text. It is the same for all my pages / all the blocks that are text. Only way to update the text is to move out of the TD Composer and update in the classic WP editor finding where the text is located… which is a mess actually…
Hope I have been clear on that one
Thanks in advance
Hello,
I have a bilingual site and I am using WPML to translate. I have translated all the values I need except one.
I was able to translate the title of a “tagDIV block 1” a couple months ago and then recently tried to translate the “td_filter_default_txt” but was unable to. I can see the in the “WPML translate text in the admin screens” the field with the value I want to translate and when I check it and hit the Apply button it doesn’t show up in the String translations.
I did some testing and found that when I add a standard WordPress widget I can still translate using this method. I created new “tagDIV block 1” and “tagDIV block 7” widget then go to “WPML translate text in the admin screens” area and check off the custom title and/or the filter default text, hit apply, and they never show up as option in the String translation area.
I have not updated WPML or the Newspaper theme since I had first translated the title of a “tagDIV block 1”. Can you please help me figure out what might be the problem?
Thanks.
Also not working for me when building cloud templates for categories or building pages with tag composer. Should the meta be updated on the category or in the cloud template or page? Neither seem to work. Thanks in advance!
Since the last update, when I edit a page in TD Composer and click on save, it goes around and around and never saves. So I quit the TD Composer and find that it is saved. Can you assist?
Hello… It had been long time and we haven’t seen the latest big update on newspaper9 with good features.
when next update will come.
I updated my page this morning. I think that there was a power outage during the save process. Now I am not able to edit it to correct it. this is the message below. I have cleared all caches, but I am still not able to access the page to make the changes needed. How do I solve this issue?
Errors at columns elements: 12(models) : 10(dom). The model does not match the content
Question 1: Any thoughts why this might be happening?
I’m decently familiar with WordPress. I have cleared W3 Total Cache, cleared the browser cache, closed the browser, etc., but nothing has worked.
Question 2 (nearly related):
I made a row with 3 columns.
For a desktop, I’d like the 3 items close together, so I used “right, center, left” alignment.
But for a mobile device, it obviously looks strange having “right, center, left” alignment on top of each other. What is the work around for this?
Thank you!
Edit: For Question 2, in the TagDiv Composer, the elements are centered, but on an actual Android device, they are not. #scratchingmyhead
Hi I have problem on admin side dashboard, when I add new post or changing something there’s always not update anything. After I refresh cache (shift+f5) then changes occur.
I already tried activate, deactivate cache plugin but the problem still not clear.
Hi,
I have recently updated the Newspaper theme with the latest version 9. The previous version of the website was built with WPBakery and after trying to use the new TagDiv Composer i haven’t been able to make it work properly (slow, cannot delete rows etc.) I read the instructions on how to setup PHP.ini and Htacess (default values) and still it doesn’t work. After disabling TagDiv Composer i was able to get the homepage running like it used to be and decided not to use TagDiv Composer for now.
Could you help me with activating TagDiv Composer?
Secondly, I’m not able to visually edit tables like i used to before the update. What seems to be the problem? If you need the credentials to access the website and cpanel please let me know how could i send you this information.
Many Thanks,
Dejan
I just updated it to 9.2.2. Seems like the issue is still there.
Is there another fix needed?
I had to use some short code on my website by using column text box on tagdiv editor, but it didnt update the contents when I write down the short code inside it.
is there any other way to insert the short code on tagdiv editor? or any way to fix the current problem? thanks!
the website address is chicagokoreatimes.com
Guys, what about an update??? I’ve sent the email, I’ve asked for an update, but all I get is silence. I love this theme, I’ve even influenced others to buy it, but geez, I’m sitting on my thumbs and can’t move forward. At least let me know the status. Asked with respect, but also running out of patience.
any updates?
Hi,
The multi-purpose plugin was removed and included in the tagDiv composer plugin, this happened in theme update 8.7.5, please check the changelog at the bottom of this page
– https://themeforest.net/item/newspaper/5489609
– https://www.screencast.com/t/cql6czdT
So no need to keep trying to activate the plugin if you use a theme version newer than 8.7.5, the multi-purpose plugin and the tagDiv composer were combined. All the multi-purpose options are now part of the tagDiv composer.
Also you can make a full backup to your website an make a theme update -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
If there is still a problem, you can send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login, as well as cPanel or FTP if possible. We will take a look. Include a link to this topic in the email.
Thank you for your understanding!.
Hi,
Basically you will have to modify the module you want to display a time ago date. An example is provided in this topic
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/the-time-ago-in-block-3-is-correct-but-another-block-is-wrong-time/
The theme modules are here – https://www.screencast.com/t/pgEdt29bC
Each block and grid is made of modules – https://forum.tagdiv.com/theme-blocks-modules/
If you want to display that date in a module or more modules, each will have to be modified.
They can be modified in a child theme, this way you won;t lose the customization after a theme update when the theme files are replaced
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-child-theme-support-tutorial/
A guide or documentation about such a modification is not available, if there was I would gladly provide it to you.
@Simion I already corrected the faulty entry in my robots.txt and updated it as well. Heck, my mobile pages are also “friendly” according to Google’s own page friendly tests. But, Google is still showing that nagging error in at least 5 pages (not all luckily).
Maybe Google bot is having a rough day. Or, do I have to wait for a day or two, maybe?
I learned the hard way, you should have a staging site, a copy of your main site. First, test the updates on the staging site. Then, update your main site.
