Doing it in a child theme would indeed be helpful in this case, but unfortunately it is not possible for that file, it’s not supported.
You would have to make this modification after each update, or maybe backup the file and replace it after a theme update.

Note that the file could be modified by us as well, check in the list of modified files before you update the theme.

I said another domain for example but it’s not mandatory to do this. You can do it on your actual domain. No problem but make before a full update.

So you want to display the via you set for the post in the post edit screen, in the excerpt of the block? That won’t work.
You could display it below the excerpt, it will require modifications in the code.

The theme can be updated like other themes, nothing special about it. Updating the theme is not difficult to do, certainly it should not cause such major issues with the website.

The most recommended, popular and reliable method in general is by FTP. If you follow the steps as they are mentioned then there would be no problems

Insufficient resources can cause problems with the theme or theme plugins. Low WP-memory can cause 500 errors for example.

In both cases, we recommend doing a full backup to your database to avoid losing all of your dates. If you have mad some customizations to your website, you can update your theme using the patch and otherwise, it’s recommended to update the entire theme folders. First of all, please update the theme to the latest version of it which is NP 9.0.1. I have inspected your source code and I saw that you are using an old theme version (8.1) -: you have to update it. Before doing this, please make a full backup to your database to avoid losing all of your data.
