Hello fgmotta,
Unfortunately, this functionality is more complicated and we cannot provide support for this, sorry! Do you have tested the smooth scroll on mobile for that demo? Notice that some changes have been made and now work better. Notice that with each theme update we are trying to do the best with our product.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
The goal is to try and provide as many new features with each update, in time there will be many new elements and additions. We appreciate all suggestions and feedback from our users. Everything is considered carefully.
Thanks
Hello,
This happens because of the global header style chosen. Block template style 8 provided this result but this was fixed in more recent versions of the theme.
please either update your theme by using this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ or change the global block template from here: https://www.screencast.com/t/rcPC3C8KB
Thank you!
The message you get is quite common with WordPress. In most cases it can be easily fixed.
For example – https://wordpress.org/support/topic/the-link-you-followed-has-expired/
In that case the max upload size was limited, increasing it solved the problem. Usually this is the main cause.
Check this guide carefully and make modifications if needed
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
If everything is set properly there should be no problem. Contact your hosting provider if needed and ask them to make changes as the guide suggests.
You can also install the theme by FTP, that is not difficult to do and it’s very useful to know how to use FTP. If our guide is not detailed enough check some more online

Hi,
I’ve recently update to V9.0.1 but the search icon doesn’t work no more (in desktop version) and, in the mobile version of the theme, when you’re in any post, the search bar and the menù icon don’t work.
Can you pls check it?
Thanks
Before updating always backup the files and the database, in case something goes wrong with the server you could use the backup to revert to the previous state.
Update the theme via FTP:
Hello,
I’m running my client website with the Newspaper theme V7.8.1 and I need to update the theme to Newspaper 9.
I can not found the theme update option. How can I update the newpaper theme to latest version v?
Thank you
Ravi
Good Morning …
I’m sorry, but I think I’m going to risk it too much like this. The site is already set up for the client. I would like to move only on the code I need. I’ve already made changes to other codes and would lose if I make this update.
Would it be possible for the person who corrects me to move at least to where it should correct? Is it in java, html? At where?
thank you.
Okay. I’m sorry to trouble you with my incompetence. Perhaps there is a conflict with WP Fastest Cache.
It updated a few hours after I made the changes, and I don’t know why, and things are working properly again.
Next time I encounter this issue, I will post in this forum with a link.
Thanks for your patience.
I’m using the lifestyle theme of newspaper. Changing the link color in global settings does not work on the live site. When previewing the site in WordPress ‘appearance’, it works fine. No caching issues. Other colors update immediately. Just doesn’t work on links (menu bar, post title hover, etc.)
Hi Bogdan B.,
Thank for responding to my question! I hope your team will bring this function to the next update of the theme. It will be cool.
Thanks!
Hi, on my homepage I have the Youtube block on the sidebar. I have to insert a code for each video and do it manually.
I just want it to show the latest videos with automatic update. Is that possible?
Glad it finally worked for you. I will note these requests and they will be considered for future theme updates.
Hi,
You could check the changelog, bottom of this page
– https://themeforest.net/item/newspaper/5489609
It mentiones all the new additions, modifications and fixes for each theme update. If you have questions about something I will be glad to help you.
Thanks
I have tried this, both way enable and disable..
Not working.
Please update me…
Thanks
Hello fgmotta,
You should update the theme to the latest version of it which is NP 9.0.1. It seems to work as expected. You can try our demo and check the results.
Thanks.
There is an update in the matter in this topic
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/td-plugins-and-newspaper-theme-errors-causing-server-load-issues-error-504/
A permanent solution will be found for this issue. Sorry for any inconvenience.
Hi,
That is the image info box, that element does not have image alignment options at the moment. It will have the options same as a title over image element for example, in coming updates
– https://www.screencast.com/t/HebEJLVeNxB
You could use that element instead, and set image size to contain, that will display the whole image. I believe that is what you want.
Dear dev. team!
I’ve updated to ver.9
I know about this Newspaper 0 intro video – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eyoDUiWZcPQ
But do you have an article with the list of changes?
For example:
This option in ver8 – new changes in ver 9 – screenshot or picture and text explaining how to operate with new improvements.
or could you refer to help page with such info?
Hello,
Sorry for the inconvenience. There is a hick-up in the tagdiv composer regarding this. Please access the plugin files and edit this file replacing the highlighted line:
https://www.screencast.com/t/osLvNSnIpXOV
Replace it with this code:
editor.setContent( decodedValue.replace(/\\\'/gm, "'"));
It will not remove the existing / symbols that were already added but it will prevent the adding of other ones.
This will be fixed in the next theme update.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Thank you!
Hey it’s same for me. This is one of the worst page builder I have use tbh. As after every update it starts giving a new problem & also says that page is not created with Tagdiv composer when I have only used Tagdiv till now
Hello,
TD composer is not working. I add the element “Title with Text”
And when I try to add content by clicking “Edit content” a popup opens for WP Editor
But the problem is when I enter the text in that box it doesn’t reflect on the website.
Please let me know what the issue is as I have deactivated all the plugins and deleted all cache and everything and still it’s the same
Thank you.
Hi,
Indeed that file cannot be modified in a child theme, you would have to modify the file in the main theme. Maybe make a backup of it after you modify it and replace the new one after an update.
Thanks
To further clarify the issue:
I made a test post to see what would happen on mobile. The theme updated properly. However, once I deleted the test post, the test still appeared on mobile (and leads to a 404).
So now I have the correct layout on mobile, but it shows a test post that leads to a 404 as the first post on the page.
So it appears I can only update the layout of the front page on mobile IF and ONLY IF I have the content to make a new post.
I’m sorry but that isn’t what I expect from a premium product, so there must be some way to fix this without using the mobile theme plugin, yes?
I don’t want to use the mobile theme plugin if possible because I have some unique elements on the front page that I would like to be display on mobile.
Oh, and a lot of my images are also simply not loading at all on the mobile version, which is another thing that cannot go unfixed.
Please help.
Thanks
I’m still having major problems with this.
My front page will not update on mobile. I have checked on multiple devices. It sometimes updates, and sometimes will not.
Are you saying that implementing the mobile theme plugin will somehow fix this problem of the front page not updating to reflect the changes I made in the tagdiv composer?
All I want is for the mobile version to reflect the changes I make on the front page tagdiv composer.
I consider this to be a serious problem with the theme.
I see this one currently – https://www.screencast.com/t/lxz41rmfiY
If the block is no longer in the page structure, why would it still appear there? Quite unusual.
A persistent cache would explain it, but you say it has been cleared fully. It should clear automatically when the page is modified or updated however.
Could be browser cache then, but that will not switch back and forth from the old block to the new one in the same browser.
I browsed the website for a while, returning to the homepage periodically. The old block is not to be seen so far.
