FIX, UPDATE: It seems like the plugin “tagDiv Multi-purpose” was to blame. Toggling that one plugin seems to make the problem disappear/appear.

Reading the documentation it seems as if the Multi-purpose plugin got integrated into tagDiv composer, so the issue seems to be resolved after some minor tweaking on my end.

never mind. i found that some are added as pages but not into the list.

I just recently upgraded to version: 9.0.1 via Envato. I do not know how to do this via FTP. I do not have any untested plugins and cleared all caches but the issue continues> the site in wp-admin is very very slow. Whenever I make a edit or add it takesabout 2 minutes to update.
Last week I spoke to GoDaddy who are hosting my site and they tell me my site is showing errors in wp_booster> php lin 903.
I am emailing you my login credential for the site and also for My CPanel @Godaddy.

Thanks, so to confirm, the functionality available in the standard theme post templates is not available in the cloud templates, maybe something for future updates?

Also – can it be made possible to duplicate post templates – sometimes after creating the perfect template, it would be good to be able to duplicate it and make small amends (such as the sidebar, since it’s set in the template!)

We had the same problem. It took 5 different WP support members before the issue was identified. Here’s what they said:

It looks as if the Newspaper theme’s companion plugin td_speed_booster is writing to a row named td_011_logs in the amount of 20MB+ The table looks to be autoloaded by default. This has been resulting in high load and 502s. I can try turning off object caching and setting autoload to off for the row.

After doing the above it’s back to normal. They said to keep autoload off in case the theme starts writing to that row in a future update.

How is the situation of this subject after this hole and a half year? It’s still not possible to edit these files in child theme?

If not, can you suggest another solution? I don’t want to lose the changes when I update the theme, and I need this mobile menu feature.

Update : if I choose ‘Single Post Template 4’, it’s working. But if I choose ‘Products Page Wine’, it’s not saving.

Checked theme requirements, everything looks good.

Created an htaccess file in public_html, adding the following to the file:
<IfModule mod_substitute.c>
SubstituteMaxLineLength 10M
</IfModule>

Added this to wp-config
define ( ‘CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS’, true );

TD Composer side bar comes up, but not main window. Error message in main window is:
Error at rows: 9(models) : 0(dom). The model does not match the content.

Deactivated all plugins except TD Composer, clearing caches, restarting now. Will update.

this is a common error when installing or updating a theme; stupidly WP uses ‘index.php’ as a default template file, vs ‘default.php’ and so at some point Google or a hacker will try to index that location when something else is not loading inside the folder due to the way WP works with the htaccess writing. If you get an error going to that page, that is normal, as it should NOT load in the browser.

If you get the errors all the time, something may be wrong. If you get “1” error once in a while. Just mark as fixed and move on.

Google should also be smart enough to not try to load index.php files inside of a folder called /wp-content/themes/foo/index.php

which only shows how “out of touch with reality” that testing and system check tool really is. However, again, this only happens sometimes when something is being updated.

Using a “maintenance mode” plugin can help with this when doing any kind of WP or system updates.

It happens. Next time (and in future updates) extract the whole downloaded folder and extract it then upload only the newspaper.zip file, preferably via FTP.

You did not answer my question. In the past I could not have both WPbakery Visual Composer and tagDiv Composer active at the same time because it caused issues. Is this still true? My websites have thousands of pages and many of those pages are built with WPbakery Visual Composer so changing to tagDiv will take a lot of time.

Also, how do I know when you have allowed us to update our WPbakery Visual Composer plugin as the theme updates itself and I am given no notice about updating just the WPbakery Visual Composer plugin.

1.Why are you asking if I have updated the Theme? You think this could resolve the above issues?
2. Did you check The Theme’s WP_Booster? PHP Line 903? GoDaddy check and they told me they see many “errors” coming from the Theme’s WP_Booster> PHP Line 903.

Yes, I’m trying with is_category function in header-style-10.php file with code like
td_util::update_option('tds_header_background_image', my_category_image); but I can’t update the background image.
If you could point me in the right direction, maybe using the API or some hooks… I’d apreciate so much.
